Thank you so much! I have a MFC-8850CDW with bad fuser rollers, and while not exactly the same as your printer it was close enough I was able to successfully change the rollers. Thanks!
Just wanted to give you a big THANK YOU. I work for a nonprofit and after watching your video I figured I would give it a try to fix the rollers so I ordered the parts and played your video along the way. Super helpful and it has now allowed me to fix two of our printers that someone else may have just recycled. They work great now. Thank for posting this. It was super helpful and easy to follow🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for taking the time to do this. It's not a hard job, but watching somebody else do it first makes it go much faster. I was in and out in under an hour!
Thank You thank you Thank YOU. Great Job breaking it down into digestible chunks. I was able to save our printer from ending up in the trash heap. I took a look at it and thought "I betcha I could fix that" Thanks to your video, I was able to! Great Job!
THANK YOU for this video! I just successfully replaced my rollers. Having this video for the exact printer model made all the difference in being able to do this myself and saving a lot of money. Thanks again!
@@ProfessorOzone I had a terrible problem of smudgy dirty printing with my HL-L8350CDW printer. The support from Brother told me the reason was the use of third party cartridges, whereas these were used without problems for several years (the log reveals 10 cartridge changes). My drum was also replaced afetr 24000+ pages printed. Looking at your video, I decided to undertake the control of the fuser unit. Dismantling the back of the printer was much faster than the time expected from looking at the video. I succeeded rather easily, to find out that a sheet of paper, heavily charged with all colors of toners, was cluttering the entry of the fuser, without impairing the overall function of the printer ! Removal of it, cleaning of the rollers with some lint-free cloth and reassembly was concluded in no time and produced a perfectly functional and clean printer. Thanks for your patience and the quality of your tutorial !
@@MrRherzog Holy cow. I had no idea that the printer would even print with a piece of paper stuck in there. Glad I could help you find the problem and solve it.
If the heater rod in the fuser is bad. U can replace it with 22 awg or 0.7mm diameter Nichrome 80 wire. Overall resistance of the 28cm long Nichrome wire is about 1.3Ω to 1.4Ω. Amazon carries it, 5 metres for $7.50. Just ensure the wire is taut. Attach the new wire to the original heater metal TAB ends with a pocket Spot welder...also available on amazon for about $50.00
Thanks for this video. Well done. I had a couple of hiccups along the way. Broke the tab on that roller spring when pulling it up as I accidently applied sideways force but drilled out a small hole and put in a screw to latch the spring to and it seems to work.
Also, I purchased my new fuser from Newegg. It was by far the cheapest and came very fast. Everything works perfectly now. Of course the fast and easy way is to purchase the whole assembly.
Thanks for the video, awesome job! I used it today (Wed, 8 Feb 2023) to replace my fusion rollers in my HL-L8360CDW. I got everything back to gether, but it is now leaving a much smaller and thin crease on one side. Any ideas why? The rollers are obviously in good shape and I didn't damage anything taking it apart or putting it together. Thought maybe there was some adjustment I could make. Thank again!
I tried something and it seems to have helped. I pulled down on the white tabs/levers (the ones with the strong springs) on both sides. I think maybe the rollers are not perfectly in sync and perhaps there is a little different pressure in the spring on one side vs. the other. Its not perfect, but 100x better than it was. Thanks again!
@@Wormf16 Glad you could figure it out. I'm really not a printer tech or anything. The only thing I really had to offer is trying different paper. But now that I know about the spring things, I'll try that on mine, if necessary. Thanks for watching.
YOU MENTIONED you used rollers from a similar model- can you be specific as I am having trouble finding any that speficly list the HL-L8350CDW as compatible. Thank you.
Ok, I was referring to videos. I didn't make that clear. I see what you mean. It's hard to find them. But I got the rollers on ebay from seller "tonerqueena". They were $40.00 on about March 20, 2021. You might try going on ebay and sending him a message to see if they are available. I also found them here and in the description it says they are the same as the HL-L8360, if you want to trust it. I hope this helps. www.aliexpress.com/i/2255800740884918.html?gatewayAdapt=4itemAdapt
I'm sorry. I believe I got them on ebay, but when I went back some time later, I could only find one of the two. You'll just have to scour the internet usuals, like amazon, ebay, etc. Wish I could help more.
I did everything you said, and then put it all back together. But now it says "Jam" in the rear, and I don't know what it means or how to get it off. What did I do wrong?
Oh man. I'm sorry to hear that. I assume this error was not present before replacing the rollers. I'm not really an expert on printers. I just wanted to let people know where they might break something while doing this repair. But if it says paper jam, I would definitely look to make sure that all of the little switches and sensors around the rollers and doors are in the right spot. Maybe something is misaligned and it thinks there is paper in the roller. Maybe repeat most of the process and see if it fixes it? Sorry I really just can't tell you specifically.
Hmmm, sorry I don't really know much about that except maybe you could look at a video for resetting your toner cartridges. This video wasn't really about white printouts, but rather the paper getting folded up by bad rollers. I hope you find the problem.
You mean the people who want you to rent a printer,? No thanks, can't stand the amount of proprietary bloatware and spyware they put on their products.

Wahey! Thank you, I have followed your instructions and now have a fully functioning printer again. I could not have done it without your video.
You are welcome. Glad it helped.

Hey, happy to hear that. Regrettably, you'll probably have to do it again in a couple of years. But for now congratulations.

Thanks for the video, just replaced my rollers on Brother 8360CDW
me too!
Thanks for this; your diagnosis of the wrinkly paper led me to fix our printer problem. This printer repair video helped me a lot.
Thank you Sir !
I just finished the replacement successfully!
Great video !
No problemo!

BTW....the printer throws a "Print Unable 05" message for a bad heater.
Good to know. Thanks.
Thanks so much. Couldn't have done without you.
Thank you this is fantastic. Appreciate that you took the time to do this video!!
You are welcome.
$40 fix for a $500 printer. THANK YOU.

is your printer Brother HL-L8350CDW ? where did you find the replacement rollers?

Where did you purchase the rollers? I am not feeling too confident with some of the options I've found online so far...
I'm sorry. I believe I got them on ebay, but when I went back some time later, I could only find one of the two. You'll just have to scour the internet usuals, like amazon, ebay, etc. Wish I could help more.
Hey, how are these rollers holding up after 2 years? Any overheating problems?
Yeah, still good, but they don't last long. I wouldn't surprised if they die again within the next year. All printers suck!
Hi, used this video, everything fell into place and seems fine but when turning on printer it says rear jam. any ideas?
Make sure you plugged all of the wires all the way back in and that there's not a panel in front of a switch or something.
I did everything you said, and then put it all back together. But now it says "Jam" in the rear, and I don't know what it means or how to get it off. What did I do wrong?

Do you have the place where you purchased the parts? and the part numbers? I have the exact printer and need to do the same thing.
Nah. I just got it on ebay I believe.
Try typing this item number into ebay: 124484541801
Bestnote "DANKE"
Bitte!
Glad I could help.
hello dear, change everything new and it still prints white only when I shake the toner it prints slightly and it's new greetings.

Should bought a hp printer, much easier to replace the fuses no wires to discount
