I also completed a BTEC Computing course at college. I can’t explain how many similarities and and how much relatability this podcast had to my college experience.
Brilliant episode, would love to see some more of these, maybe some unheard memories of festivals/nights out. Would also like to see more group podcasts too.

I was a student at Leeds City College (Park Lane) in the late 00s/early 10s. This discussion for some reason made me feel real nostalgia. The late '00s was truly a great time to be in your late teens, especially in Leeds!
College memories are always so weird to look back on because it was such a new stressful time after leaving highschool but its such a laugh at the same time
The fact I’m watching this whilst in college just makes me laugh even more

Top content! I can relate to this in one of my jobs I became friends with a lad who was the total opposite of me! But we had the same personality. We shared a love for Eminem and 2017 was my first festival with him!

This took me back! I think i did that exact computing BTEC in 2006 in Bedford College and it sounds like I was in a class with similar people having similar conversations

I finished a btec course in 2020, it’s generally the same grading system but now they have D* aswell above distinction

it's not really above distinction but more so you consistently gained distinction grades through every module
I did this exact course. Great memories here.

I completed my level 3 BTEC in computing last year only difference being there are triple D* now. Sounds like a very similar experience being the odd one out of the class of slightly different people let's say to my usual group

the end of the pod has made me want to confess about a time i also found some money that wasnt mine, so i was riding on my bike back from the local corner shop and as i was passing some bungalows build by the council for elderly people i find someones i assume pension on the floor. I swiftly picked it up and rode home where i counted 140 quid. I was around 14 at the time which was ALOT of money and after some consideration i rode back to the shop to go and buy some play station gift cards and on the way back from the shop again there was an old man outside the house i had just taken the money from with a police officer explaining to him what had happened. I had never peddled home so fast in my life but at the time i felt no remorse for what i had done and loaded my play station account up with the gift cards and got to spending the money i had found. Am i forgiven?

33:20 - god bless EMA, my beer money every week. My college was shit and had a paper process. We would get paid on our forged signatures every week. Mate even signed her own signature once & got paid. We got every bonus without trying. Maybe they just didn’t give a shit, maybe they knew we didn’t have a pot to piss in!
It was a better time when people had fun about anything - but progressive ideas are always good so we must march into the future of tempering our jokes and worry about having our lives and livelihoods destroyed for some clowning nonsense (by people who haven't made someone laugh in their entire lives)
