Hiking & Wildlife in Angel Fire, New Mexico

Exploring the well-maintained trails throughout the Angel Fire Resort properties in New Mexico, USA. Walked past a herd of mule deer near Monte Verde Lake and then hiked The Enlightenment Trail at the Angel Fire Ski/Bike area. The Enlightenment Trail is an advanced hiking trail 4.55 miles and 2000 vertical feet from the trailhead to the summit. Mountain bikers, natural springs, chairlifts, disc golf, and wildlife seen along the way. FYI - If you hike to the summit with a dog, you won't be able to ride the chairlifts down.
