kalista's attacks leave spears in her enemies, and she has an ability, Rend, that tears the spears out, dealing more damage the more spears within the target. her Q, Pierce, tosses a spear that acts similarly to her basic attacks. however, if Pierce kills its target, it pierces through to any enemies behind it. if the original target had any stacks of Rend, all those stacks are transferred to whomever was struck by Pierce next. this is a classic setup. since Kalista was released, there's always been this trend of stacking spears on Gromp and constantly resetting his patience so as to stack up an egregious amount of spears. once you see someone come near, you just get Gromp low and wait for them to be in an ideal spot and then you just kill Gromp with pierce and transfer 50+ stacks of Rend onto somebody and instantly kill them. it's cheesy, and you won't really see Kalista's use Pierce for that function beyond laning and Gromp due to how chaotic team fights can be.

She stacked up the spears on gromp, and her Q moves her stacks to the enemy hit by her Q if the Q kills the unit that has the spear stacks So basically, she stacks up her big damage on gromp(constantly resets the aggro to get it back up to full hp to stack *even more* spears) and then one-shots Teemo by pressing E
I'm so done with those 2item powerspike bruisers. They can be 0/20 and still wreck you. they become so dummy proof at minute 20. Irelia, yasuo, yone, kayn, diana etc.
