I hope you read this and can answer. My MODX 8 sounds are weak. But when I run the MODX thru my KEYLAB MK2 88. The sounds are strong and vibrant. Why can't I get the same clarity and punch straight from the MODX. How can I get it
What do mean by 'weak'? In general, MODX doesn't have an aftertouch (AT) - however, it can receive and process AT message from an external controller such as KEYLAB MK 88 you mentioned
Challenge: Hi Blake, how about a definitive session on how to construct and fabricate a custom Blake "NV-III" Rotary Speaker effect. Using a mix of your "favorite" Common, Insertion effects, LFOs, and other Modulation magic that could include: Drum and Horn Frequency crossover simulation - Duplicate patch (Low Frequencies to Drum - Hi Frequencies to Horn) Independent variation effects for ramp up / brake speeds for each part. Independent LFO settings for DRUM Start and Brake - Pan L/R/C Independent LFO Settings for HORN Start and Brake - Pan L/R/C Yes, there are already Rotary Effects built in, just wanted to see how they they can be "enhanced" .
Thanks Blake. But why are you wasting your time explaining the nature of the effects? We can already listen to them and determine what we want to use them for. What you should be spending time on is to show us how to import all the effects for a certain part when we combine performances together, when we create our own performance from multiple parts that each have their assignable effects. Because this is one of the hardest and most confusing things to do on montage/MODX. Bad mister did explain that in an article on yamahasynth but he used a very simple basic example of two parts only, and still it was a very long process to explain and wrap the head around. It would be really useful if you can explain that and do it live on video
Great demo. What is the function of that little keyboard that shows on right screen when displaying the parts?

Thanks Blake. As far as I know, there's no Spring Reverb in Montage. Do know a way to simulate this kind of reverb ? Thanks.
Watched you on catch up Cheers

Can you please share a link for the music remixer app? I'm unable to find it.
Search and install Yamaha Synth Book in the app store
How do I know that control number 11 is expression and 4 is wah?
