@@Huddle_House56 Bruh how it was great he literally just didnt attempt the whammy harmonic in the middle section, hes made all his solos alot more easier and i like it cos he actually sounds like his old self again, hes 60 with Mad arthritis and he was always trying to play at his younger level, i love his playing thru Amsterdam its the best hes been in years!
He nailed it except the very end he thought he would improvise and it went to shit, timing completely off so he dumps it and just waits for the last note! ha! Meh, shit happens!
@@muriloninjayep, sometimes it makes a special moment, and sometimes it goes to shit, but he never really messes up on fade to black, talking about the very end notes, sometimes he changes the end and the times he did I always liked them
My first ever Metallica song i've ever listened to was roam and boy what a song that is. Not only did i love the song, it attracted me to Metallica, best band in the world 🤟🤟
Kirk is sometimes hit or miss, but the Whereever I May Roam solo was so on point, so in tune and had so much blues - I was almost about ro cry. Awesome!
So badass. Seeing them in August in Dallas (both shows) with my 8 year old that knows every single metallica (and Pantera) songs. I grew up in Israel listening to them , saw them 3 times and so happy they're still touring so our next generation can still see them play. Even in their 60s they're plain badass
Harvester was always one of my favorite songs, especially live! I have been unable to stomach listening to them play it since '93 - Rob doubles James (jesus fucking christ. smh), then James vocal approach to it just sucks all the life and grit out of the song. With that said, this was about the best they have done with it. James on the verses is far less trying to sing the words and is back to spitting them out sharply as they should be. \m/ Note: Kirk once again thinking he can improvise, my god he shits the bed every single time he tries. The ending of the solo was god awful! Lars being his lazy ass self didn't help either, hitting the toms is too much work on some parts (like the ending). smh!
I was in vak 128. It was like watching a live videoclip. No real Metallica to see. And the sound in the Arena is shit. Though Metallica played tight as can be! No more concert in arena for me
I always thought Metallica does its coolest performances in smaller venues. Like in the old days. Guess that's not possible anymore since the mid 80s 😂 with some exceptions.
I saw them years and years ago in the GelreDome, sitting on the stands in the back, the sound was so bad we had to guess the songs….horrible. Use to visit concerts a lot, not anymore. Pay top dollar for hearing my neighbor singing. Cause of all regulations the P.A. Isn’t loud anymore😢
Ok i assume it's something to do with the stadium acoustics But the sound on all these clips coming from this gig have the same dodgy sound First i thought it was just Metallica sound men where effing about with others sound but it seems the same for Metallica to
Yeah that's it. I really enjoyed the concert but the sound quality was bad. I think it's hard for them to play because comparing this to other concerts it's terrible. But the memory remains. 😄
Harvester is a must play at every show. So f n badass
Why don’t you go to ROBERTO 😊
Man Kirk was on fire in Roam
And then completely shit the bed in harvester which is like one of his shorter solos.
He always is now a days, he feels that song

9:31 James was too late to sing and almost burst out laughing. 😂

Suck it up buttercup, there's no crying in METAL!!
Vao the negative comments! they sound great, they look great, the crowd was great and the concert was awesome!!!

Harvester is phenomenal. Lol at criticism. They're only 59 years old
That stage is so HUGE, how does Kirk remember where the whaa whaa pedal is?
there are at least 4 whaa pedals around the stage, i saw his guitar tech place multiple across the stage during sound check.
The stage reminds me of Justice and the Black Album tours

Wherever I May Roam & Harvester of Sorrow amazing songs
1st live Metallica concert in 94, Kirk hit the Wherever I may Roam solo and tears flowed. Will never forget it
I was 27 of April it is something amazing! Love this band!
Can't wait to see them August 4th in New Jersey
I'll be at that exact show as well MWVH PANTERA as the openers
Awesome 👍👍 how much ticket for show
See you there! Im going to both shows and cant bloody waitttttt
Lars has said Harvester is one of his favorite drumming songs .
Wherever I may Roam is so fun on guitar as well
Fkn LOVE Harvester! 🤟🏻
damn, jayms using the screen on the ground to remember the lyrics.
Sound sucks ):
My second Metallica concert (first was two days prior) . Got concussion and scar on my forehead and unforgettable experience ❤
This makes me so happy 😂
Awesome

I was in 110 and agree. It was bad. Never saw them before so that was a plus. But like you I'm not going back again.
Why is Lars the intro to harvester on such a weird way, where’s the normal old 😭
what do you mean by old
he's been doing it since the 40th anniversary show, no idea why. its way worse than the original way, even if it is easier
@@AK-- look at how he hits the toms in the intro in this show and compare it to any other performance before 2021
@@Samford_ i feel like the old way was defo easier, no idea why hes doing this lmao
@@Samford_ I see, went and watched a performance from 2019. I guess this way is just in some weird way "easier" for him.
Lovely

Sound in Amsterdam Stadium is just not good a lot of times, also for other musicians, very echoey.
That's usually the point with sport stadiums, very Echoey
Kirk stole Strypers pants
Metallica plays their songs slower and slower every year :(
Seriously? These 2 plodding piles were chosen over Atlas Rise and Spit out the bone?? Wow! Glad I didn't go
Lame crowd
I've seen worse
Like most of european and american ones
yea, crowd sucks
True. Many old guy's. I was jumping harder on my seat then the people paying up to €1000 for the pit tickets.
Sadly not everyone has as much energy as Mexican Crowds. Mexico 2009 was absolutely crazy
one more time kirk plays a complete and weird different solo on harvester. he needs re-learn this solo
