@Missjemimatv This song was written in 1977 and they performed it here in 1989 so some years later. They still performed up until 2003. Can you do another live performance from them doing TO LOVE SOMEBODY from 1991 on the Arsenio Hall Show? Or 1987 Dutch TV Countdown show of them doing YOU WIN AGAIN. Or 1975 Midnight Special live! They did about 4 songs in that set so any of them would be great to do. It’ll show another side of their voices!
I always have my reservations when people react to live versions of songs that we grew up with. We didn't grow up with the live versions. We grew up with the radio versions done in a studio. This sounds quite different from what our generation knows. Please, listen to the record.
@@Dusk1962 no, it's not. For starters, the vocal harmony is lost in the first phrases. Also, this was at least 20 years later, and although they sounded good still, they were not in their prime. The instruments don't sound as tight either. This is not a bad rendition, but it's not the best, and definitely not better than the record. Above all, the point is that, if you're hearing this song for the first time it should be like the people who enjoyed it for the first time knew it, which was NOT live. Even at the time, I'm sure you know that if they showed themselves live in many places they would lip-synch many times. I was also a teenager when Saturday Night Fever came out.
Bee Gees are the best!

Love this concert. There are some more great performances during the 1989 in Melbourne: Words, Massachusetts and a Medley. ❤❤❤

Live version is way better than the record. I was a teenager when this came out.
