I only work out my forearms. My goal physique is Popeye. He’s such a god.
You know I’d be lying if I said I didn’t obsess about massive forearms at one point in my life
“I have a wife and stuff”
Ask a man if hes in love he says yes but why u gotta put me down by reminding me.
you can really tell that the bugez is chilling in the kitchen because the video looks like it was filmed with a toaster
it's on brand now so it'd be weird if he changed it but how does he not own a cell phone from any year in the last decade to film with?
Shitty camera kittchen videos are the best. I don't lie, those videos have no quality, but infinite charisma, which results in infinite quality!
I took this to heart. Now when my toddler wants a hug. I hug and press
why did you wipe vaseline on the camera lens?
Idk.. He just doesn't really seem like he knows what he's doing as a whole.
@@christianstadler6099 His physique says "Fake natty", that's what his physique says.
Swrvv He’s deadlifting over 800 pounds. If he was on gear he wouldn’t have love handles dude, he’d be shredded to the veins. Lifting consistently while on a good diet for a decade will get you this. I know, it’s a tough pill to swallow, but everyone bigger than you is not on roids
"To overhead press a lot, you must overhead press... a lot."
If you know how to perform the press then you won't hurt your wrists
Careful! i'm a retard wait so no matter how good your form is it’s damaging?? I don’t believe that
I foresee bugez moving the home gym into the kitchen to take advantage of this great lighting
how tf does this dudes adrenal glands keep up..lmao after watching some of his vids he seems like hes always in that fight or flight response going on full blast
Probably because he recovers correctly. (Tons of sleep and the right food)
Slim eating healthy and working out releases more endorphins throughout the day
Had to watch this twice, the first time I got distracted by his muscles and didn’t hear a word he said, the second time I just wanted to see his muscles again
If he truly is a natty then that's literally the best physique of all time.
Its worth noting that even though they were invented at that point, it doesn't mean these guy would have had access to them. Russian weightlifters started using them for the 1954 olympics, before that it was tested as a treatment for depression.
Sticky rick got that golden era level physique.
This is literally what i did for a year and my upper body blew up when i lifted 3x a week with ohp and weighted dips every single session
I am doing the “20 rep squat” program but “power”. Version. 3x week: Power Clean, Squat, OHP and DIPS (superset) and chin ups 🦾
You will go down in the lifters hall of fame
I stopped benching for 6 months and just focused on my overhead press. My max went from like 55kgs to 75kgs and my shoulders just absolutely exploded, real talk here boys.
I haven't lifted weights for 3-4 years, but did some casual calisthenics and high intensity cardio stuff on and off during that period.
Stepped into the gym for the first time since that the other day, and I am going to do something similar (especially because hitting shoulders effectively with BW only movements is hard).
Plan is to keep doing the BW stuff but heavily weighted low rep, and focus primarily on standing OHP's. High frequency, low volume. Never liked benching to begin with when I lifted seriously, despite chest being arguably one of my most developed parts due to dips being one of my favourite movements.
The only way to be aesthetic is to become addicted to the weights
@@zoomman96 true, leaness is a matter of diet, but to look by good i mean impressive like you lift /workout you got to have a decent amont of real muscle mass, decent structure and muscle bellies. not everone looks aesthetic lean. that being most people with ordinary genetics can still look pretty solid if they max their limit and ddicate themselves. but i don't think its an excuse to not try and i would never use it as one. because even if you look like crap your still going to reap the awesome and more important health benefits.
@@zoomman96 Eric looks good because 1. fitness his job so his diet excrecise, sleep is gong to be one point, but also 2. he clearly has good genetics, he was a wrestler in high school college.
can confirm this works; did single-arm dumbbell overhead press every time I'm at the gym (3 times a week) and within 3 months my shoulders exploded
thanks Eric!
What was your program back then my friend? Did people notice the change?
Even Hafthor chugs honey during heavy training. You were ahead of your time, mr. Bugez
Rick Bugez your physique is just unreal. True natty king
Is thsi possible without Roids?
Currently ia ma a vegan...i can switch over to meat too.
@@robertcraig2662 yes it is but hes been going for years not a overnight thing
“Sprinkle in some Deadlifts”
I need this on a T-Shirt.
Totally agree. In fact I had to buy 6 25 plates just so I could OHP in the winter due to low ceiling.
I automatically assumed it was 25 kilo plates and long story short im an idiot
That's what I did after hearing Brian Shaw say he almost never benches and focusses on pressing instead. It's way more functional for almost everything, has a faster regeneration, and ties in with more other muscle groups and exercises.
It helped my entire upper body and let me finish upper body workout in less time, making more space for legs and dedicated core work.
So you recommend that I take all bench press types away for awhile and just overhead press
Benching is just an accessory for strongmen ( if at all). Strongmen focus a lot on pressing all kinds of things over their heads. Notice that most of them don't have great chest development but shoulders and upper back are usually very well developed.

psl god peak aesthetic best version of Eric
I love the fact that you said “be creative”. In my not so professional, professional opinion the more creative you get with a workout the more fulfilling a workout will be. Cheers mate, was recommended your channel a couple days ago. Loving the content. Keep up the solid work.
His lats and abs are perfect. That's how I'd want mine to look
I’ve had this recommended to me every day for the past month even though I’ve watched it before and I decided to click on it tonight because the bugez deserves it
Am I the only serious lifter who loves OHPing and does it regularly?
I've been prioritizing it over the past year and have been way happier with the physique and upper body strength gains than I was with benching
If Freddy Mercury chose to do bodybuilding, this is what he'd look like.
I just wanted to say thank you, Eric. I've never been able to exersice consistently before but now I am and I'm getting stronger crazy fast. I'm focusing on just deadlifts for now
Oooh that buzzword Alpha. Got me hooked immediately! 😂😂
"I'm in the kitchen cuz the lightings the best" looks like the microwave is hitting me with high beams..

Before the catastrophic dadbloat
I remember trying out OHP for the first time and how difficult it was, and since I started focusing on it a few months ago it has become my favorite lift
What perfect golden tidbit timing. I've been tossing in so many raises to get my shoulders up the past few. I'm trying this starting tonight.
Watching this during the RAW ads to keep myself awake. I think I wont be able to comprehend the amount of energy that'll shoot my way as soon as you're on the show aswell. Bugenhagen on my TV, Bugenhagen on my phone.
This is lost in the Bugez archives but this is my ideal physique bro
Bugez has left humanity behind
This guy makes me be in good mood
Ive been over head pressing for the last 3 months and the difference is incredible, turned my bench 1 rep max into a working set
Damn dude this is the first video of yours I’ve ever seen and I gotta say you got a perfect natural physique
Had rotator cuff issues in the past that made OHP painful. Finally got it taken care of and am amazed at how much I love it now, especially clean and press
Radical, I started doing clean and press everyday for the past three months. My shoulders and upper back have exploded.
He speaks truth
Shoulders are looking amazing man! It's been awesome to see the progression over the past few months.
Funny thing is i just started incorporating more overhead press into my workouts about a week ago, so now i'm even more motivated to do it! Also i was expecting to hear "IT'S A MINDSET"
Overhead pressing is one of my favorite workouts, definitely prefer dumbbells over a bar personally
Awesome advice. Ive been using a trap bar and making OHP my primary upper body movement the last few months. Definitely see bigger everything. Documented new parts of my arms forming. I like trap bar because i feel the squeeze (in or out) as you ascend and decend really benefits you which is difficult with other options. You want the juice you gotta squeeze man. Especially blasts your chest.
This is the best Eric’s ever looked for sure
The past her prime actress called, she needs her Vaseline-covered lens back.
Every once in a while I come back to this video for inspiration
As a husband, father, construction worker, & outdoorsman I love standing presses as they offer a hell of a lot of carryover into much of what I do in life whether it is lifting, and holding materials over my head, picking up, and shouldering a deer carcass, or picking up my kids overhead (& maybe tossing them in the air). If you are a powerlifter then training the three competitive lifts is crucial, but I sure wish the barbell press was still in vogue instead of the bench.
ive been a lifelong wrestling fan but after seeing your nxt debut and finding this channel you’ve single handedly gotten me into fitness! thank you so much eric
My alarm every morning for the past month has been the natty anthem and my physique has never been better
I've started overhead pressing every gym session (Squat2Press on leg days) and it's really helped me recognise how much weaker my left side is compared to my right side. It's always worth experimenting and going outside your little program just to see what you can learn.
Thank you my good Sir, that was exactly what I needed right now. I noticed I was slacking off pressing lately, today’s workout will be all around press variations.
But you didn't talk about the strength standards. I'm confused about what to do and how to achieve and unlock the codes that enables the Greek God physique. 😱😱😱😱😱
Bro you have select the Greek god physique on the free kinobody gym rat RPG simulator. If you are stuck last natural did a let's play of it.
@@NA-gf1zy well, this is the actual truth. Straight to the point.
However, I'm not sure if you're messing with us or if this is a genuine reaction to my initial post which was a reference the kino person which made a video using such terminology as I did use.
However, I appreciate that you did write the comment and therefore I thank you . 😁💪🏾💪🏾👌🏾
Eric's physique is all I need for Christmas
I Love how the title has "whatever". this guy is just awesome
I tried daily overheadpress and weighted chinups 3sets x 5reps for 1.5 months and I got very rapid size gains..
You’re Looking insane, shoulders/traps/arms/back/stomach look ripped!! I hope to have another progress video of myself soon you guys have changed my life and I’m trying my best to stay with it even through getting sick and work lol and life. Thanks again sir and keep it up!!
Clicked to read the description so quick, holding my breath for a link to a program...im pathetic.
Yo Eric big shout out and thanks for the Dave’s killer Bagel tip. Crushed a few before my press today and I instantly turned into a FREAK.
Casually flexing and posing mid-sentence with no interruptions is the mark of a god
Steve Reeves loved the OHP and he has my fav golden age physique
I'm 15 My dream is to be able to curl 1000 pounds, I can only curl 40 pounds and bench press 125, I'm a long long way
God, the Bugez got me through some dark times. Eternally grateful.
I've just started doing standing overhead barbell presses and it's the most disgusting exercise I've done.
In other words, I love it.
You never cease amaze the crowd, thank you 🙏
Did he just tell me to get out of the Mindset? IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MINDSET!!!!
The shoulder girdle is everything when it comes to an aesthetic and badass physique. Not chest, not legs not biceps.
I was honestly so confused if he was serious or not.
When is thor going to admit he gets his training tips from eric
True, I’ve been overhead pressing light weights, for like two months and my upper body has been looking FIRE
Nice. Never thought about integrating the shoulder press with squats or even knew of the cuban or clean shoulder presses.
Great ideas here and I understand incorporating the regular press logic. Ill now incorporate this into every workout. Really good info, Im eager to try this new routine.
A well earned subbed my dude.
Every so often I run into working 10 hour shifts at work 6 days a week with a 30 min commute each way so my time will be very limited and what I noticed is that I looked and felt overall better when getting creative and structuring a 45 min workout focused on squats, ohp and pull ups 3x a week, my recovery would be on point everytime and I'm stimulating every muscle group in some way, it would be just enough to stimulate but not ebough to impede recovery so you're definitely onto something with this.....
jacked and stacked
The thing with OHP is, if you do it with textbook form (barbell over midfoot the entire lift, no leaning back) it becomes really hard to progress in weight. With sloppy(ish) form, the average lifter can probably press 100+ lbs, but have them do it with a clean bar path and they can only do the bar, especially if they have limited mobility in the shoulders.
That isn’t textbook strict press form. Go watch serge reddings clean and press. No hip movement, but you are allowed to lean back and then straighten out. Ohp isnt a shoulder isolation exercise, its a fully upper body exercise
Can confirm, have been working on overhead press and handstand push-ups more often for the past 3 months, my shoulders exploded and in strength as well. I'm planning on hitting them even more frequently now.
3:45 I've rewinded this so many times
glad i came across this vid, pretty new to working out and i love working shoulders, especially barbell press
But if you give the program away for free you can't charge for it.
My shoulders were my weakest body part, due to injuries and a lack of training, so I started overhead pressing every day for a month and not only did they grow incredibly, I set a new PB by 45lbs. Now shoulders are my favorite thing to train.
you the type of dad I'd wish my friends had so when I'd come over to visit it would just be me asking you shit about lifting. A1 explanation and now I'm boutta overhead press everything I get my hands on, thanks
Got it, drop one set of preacher curls and tack on one set of light seated dumbbell presses on the way to the showers, just kidding, as if I'd ever drop a set of curls.
buges you are like the RAW GARLIC of gym knowledge. These tidbits are INSANELY golden. Thanks brother.

i listened to that video now i bench 1500 lbs and drink bull semen for lunch
also in mustaines first song you did its "Nice story, Tell it to readers digest"
Seems like you about aesthetic in utility on the DL
What's wrong with giving aesthetic advice? There's exactly 1 million n 1 different articles, videos and website's floating around about the importance of strength, functional lifting and becoming a monster. To me, of course its more important to be strong than to just look good, but looking good is a nice benefit. But the vast majority of guys lift to look better, feel better and gain the aesthetic. And lets be realistic, we all know plenty of dudes who claim to be interested in "power" lifting or strong man shit only as an excuse to be fat, eat garbage and lift semi heavy 1x a week.
Hope you have time for this and some insight, long story short while on Active duty had bad slap tear for almost 8 years before finally getting surgery 2 months ago, other shoulder currently has AC separation III. I have read and heard many opposing points of view, one doctor said I should stop all weigh lifting while a physical therapist said i absolutely should lift once healed.
Any advice on getting back into lifting after a shoulder surgery?
