I have to say - Ellie that was outstanding parenting on the step at home with Jackson. Not only were you teaching him that he doesn't get a treat every day and doesn't always get everything he asks for, but the way you delivered the explanation was perfect. Getting down to his level, and looking at him eye to eye and explaining everything was spot on and he listened to every word you said. I also admired that you didn't " baby talk " to him. You treated hi like a big boy and he responded like a big boy. Great job.

Ellie + Jared, thank you for sharing your awesome parenting skills!! I love that Jackson and Calvin don't have to be showered with toys or treats when they've been super good. Spending quality time as a family, in the hot tub, is reward enough for your little guys!! Very valuable for young parents. Ones that have spoiled with toys or candy as bribes or rewards every time will pay for it as their children get older!!! I have so much respect for you both!!!

It's sometimes hard to say no to kids but in the long run you get much better results with discipline and rewarding good behavior.

I love watching the boys grow up. Jackson is very adventurous and into sporty stuff. Calvin is very musical. I wonder if when they grow up if Jackson would be the one on the sports teams and Calvin in choir/band/theater/the arts in general. It'll be interesting to see how and who they grow up to be
