- This is a video I've wanted to do for a long time: What would happen if Saruman was a good guy, joined the Fellowship, and fought the Balrog of Moria instead of Gandalf?
Saruman quotes, Balrog sounds, and some music came from the PC game, "The Battle for Middle Earth".

If Saruman was good and had joined the fellowship, they wouldn't have had to go through Moria in the first place. Cool concept nonetheless 👌

But then Balrog would still be alive and Gimli wouldnt be able to reclaim Moria. And because Gandalf is gone to the Grey Havens with Saruman probably. Noone can defeat the Balrog. Durin's Bane remains alive and Moria will always be it's home. King over Moria.
Yeah, they could've taken the path close to Isengard with no fear of Saruman.
They probably would. Instead of Saruman, the Witch King or Sauron himself will cast a spell at Caradhras that will force the Fellowship to go through Moria.

Yes. I wanted to use his regular staff, but it's permanently attached to the back of the Garry's Mod model, so I had to find a replacement.

Yes thats what would have happened. If a grey wizard can defeat a balrog then a white wizard could do the same just easier. The white wizard would survive where the grey wizard perished.

It happened in the books. The Witch King traveled to the gates of Isengard, where Saruman used a kind of telepathy and told the Witch King to leave.
For if Saruman knew where the ring was, or even had it himself, he'd be his new Master.
There are very few who could withstand Saruman's voice, and only Gandalf the White was completely immune, as he was reborn as Saruman as he should have been.
Saruman defeats anyone lesser than Galadriel by simply talking.

I have a question: why Saruman use two staff?
In Garry's Mod, the staff is permanently attached to the ragdoll's back, and is not removable. I also imagined that if Saruman decided to use his powers for good, he'd create another staff endowed with the power he's learned from studying ring-lore, and fashioned it to resemble Ancalagon the Black, with his ordinary one used as a backup.

Why Saruman use other staff?
The staff is fused to Saruman's back in Garry's Mod and is not removable; I had to use another one.
