This is not pushing boundaries, it’s taking part in the public mockery of a wrongfully convicted woman. Drag does indeed push the boundary through dark or “offensive” humor sometimes, but that’s when it’s pushing against some oppressive notion of what people can’t do or representing the experience of marginalized people. People have BEEN making fun of this woman. Freely, without boundaries. This is just participating in a joke that punches at a victim who’s already down. Etc etc clearly can do wacky voices and comedic timing, so if you don’t have any context about who she’s impersonating, this is funny, but that doesn’t mean you should defend it.

Her baby was eaten by a dingo, everyone thought she killed her own baby for almost 20 years, then it was proven that she actually didn’t kill her own baby and she was telling the truth the whole time. There was no punchline or actual jokes, she just did basic, bare minimum one-liners that people and pop culture have been reusing since this happened 40 years ago. Yes, Drag is supposed to 'push the envelope' and use dark humour at times, but there was no humour in this performance. it was just a regurgitated and recycled performance of the same stuff and 'jokes' that pop culture has already given us. Which is one of the reasons this performance ended up actually being quite distasteful. Because it just wasn't funny. at all. yes, the look was good and she sounded good but that's where it ended, unfortunately. Had she really gone in and gone all out, and created new material this isn't just a rehashing, then it actually could've been quite good! But nope.
My thoughts entirely; I'm all for black humour and don't agree with censoring comedy (and I don't want this persont to be cancelled), but these 'jokes' are older than the person telling them.
