It’s quite insane isn’t it😂 I don’t get the point of telling us x character has so much potential or power like we’ll ever see the full capabilities when they’re dead
@@thatoneguy9857 I get thst but having one of your main themes being "oh the futility of reality" is so lame and lazy. Like bsd things can and should hapen but when something bsd happens our reason for caring should hsve to amount to: "It like that sometimes"
@@HungerForBunger that's not lame or lazy. Depression only is a real problem because you can't simply look at what happens and say "it do be like that sumtimes". You feel you can't keep going, despite any reasoning or optimism, because everything is futile. You can't jump to the "nice ending" without facing the problem at hand. There are no shortcuts here, and sometimes there isn't even a message at the end. And while one would think it is obligatory to keep the positive message against depression in a story that handles its themes, its also hypocritical to pretend everyone who suffers it walks out just fine from it. Even if they do walk out, that doesn't mean they have learned something from their suffering. Most obstacles in our life are meaningless. And yet they suffered all the same. This is only because you had "the futility of reality" in the theme you chose. I don't think that's a theme of JJK, but rather the dichotomy between the "potential" most people have and the true outcome from it. Manga has teached us that someone with a great potential is already top tier just because of that potential, as we are accustomed to seeing every character develop their skills to its ultimate point. We have been taught to think potential = actual power, when that has never been the truth. And I don't think showing that side of reality is lame or lazy either. Again, not because the final message isn't optimistic and bright is the story lazy. You shouldn't force optimism into a story just because society has told you an optimistic outlook on life is the right thing to have.
Higuruma is even more impressive when you remember that he was just a normal person with zero knowledge of Jujutsu and in just a few months he reverse engineered his Domain and learned all the basics on his own.
