There is a little bit of content in your ad
Vice is garbage
So this is just a car commercial.
Talking about sustainability and promoting an SUV.... hmmm.... yes.... sounds about right
im so damn glad this is the top comment, finally some people with brains who are being heard and dont go under in allthe bullshit
Vice nailed the hypocrisy part
Yeah and she got some of that sponsorship money, makes you think a bit more
Try to look at it from their perspective. They need money. Who is going to give them what they need? Supporters, who watch it? They are there to see and write about it, but would they be there to support financially them? I think they would choose the latter option instead of the ad commercial, but the reality is that we are not there yet. And instead of ranting about it, we could have a discuss how to change it so the ones who create would not need to bend before giants to do what they love.
brb, gonna go buy a hyundai and chop up some Canada Goose jackets to save the world.
none of the materials she chose to use appeared warn. It all was new looking. Are they 'seconds' materials that didn't quite make retail-grade? is it art? is it inspiration for humans to repurpose or to reduce reuse recycle? what am i looking at?
I stopped watching when she started talking about cars
this product placement is interesting
Wow. Amazing episode Vice! I love how you've championed an artist who tries to live a playful and sustainable lifestyle whilst simultaneously trying to ram the very antithesis of her principles down our throats. *Slow claps, rolls eyes, walks away*
Awesome. I had a pair of rugged hiking tights that didn't come with a waist chord so I took two shorter ones from other pants, melted and pressed of the tips together on the stove, threaded them through two small cuts in the circumference of the waist section, and secured them with a bit of sewing.
Satisfying and fun indeed.
This is art, not sustainability. None of this is in itself very useful although it is cool looking and all her materials look brand new. Maybe I was just watching the whole thing feeling really sour after that unsavoury car ad.
Is this an advert without stating that it is an advert in text?!
having limits (using scraps of fabric, communication through our hands) always brings out the most creativity. this is so cool to see
Where do they find these high hippies who think they're being original and unique?
Cool vice showing how Nicole does some repurposing with stuff we already have! Essentially art of recycling, I appreciate that your able to be a designer that’s really inspiring to others. Art definitely is mute and communication is through visuals.
that dry-cleaning button up goes hard
sustainability is not taking the outcome of overproduction and make new (unwearable) products out of it. it means to reduce the outcome.
In india we do this kinds of Designs pretty much in our daily lives. We call it "jugaad" Its Just less fancy and no one's gonna make a short documentary
Wow Sega Genesis makes cars!!!!
Yea so it’s a car commercial. Great job vice
shouldn't this be labeled with sponsored?
How awesome would it be to have a rock climbing wall in your studio 🧗🏻
Yay capitalism!...
shows us the value of an artist repurposing materials - tells us to buy a brand new car.
This was very interesting & satisfying
A 5 minute car ad. My worst nightmare.
where do you get your background music from? pls help
how come nobody is talking about how sick the shots are on this video?
3:08 Wall-E must be her favorite Pixar character
That Arc’teryx chair about $2,500 at REI?
This is literally why I'm attracted to design
Wow she really cut up several expensive jackets for a stool talking bout sustainability...........................
And if this Fails I have my Trust fund to Fall back on
😎 Who else thinks that this is cool?
This is a car commercial.
Permite ver "The last Shot" en el canal de "VICE Sport", por favor.... soy de Mexico!!
Lol, what a crappy vice episode lol
Great visual ability
Yeah I'm not watching a 6 min ad about a fucking SUV.
SELLOUTS
“Was it racist to knock a black man out”
@yellow buzz lol that’s honestly what they think
I think it depends on why you knocked him out
Yep Fossil Energy is sustainable
What a joke. This is a car ad.
I love it!
You should never have to explain you art or creativity. There will always be critics out there, mostly people who never put themselves out there.
Genesis needs to embrace Sustainability. Right now, Sustainability is a privlage and that ain't right.
Very optimistic and open-minded.
Not exactly upcycling because shes taking multiple usable pieces and making 1 , somewhat non usable item. Kind of the opposite. Still coo
If the suv wasn't involved I could bare to watch this entire thing but unfortunately I had to stop watching, TY vice.
This video is just an ad and promo for a car...
Waffles looking items on a top. Mmmmmmmmmm. Homer Simpsons be all over that
I love your mind! :-)
Lol, buy a new car and make clothes out of trash. Genius
"sustainable" being put Infront of everything to seem woke.
If you want to see a true humanitarian fashion brand that directly brings kids out of poverty by conducting business google "absent society fashion" and read their mission.
C'mon vice... Cover some better stories
I’m a fan.
well.. the car was pretty unnecessary..
When your 10yrld self plays dress up
Why
Aww she's cute
here before the interesting comments👍
tweaker with a trust fund
vice hopefully sees that they fucked up big big time with that ad. until now i was always amazed by how anti capitalistic vice made their documentaries. Now this? its just fucking sad
That young lady could and shoud be doing something useful, revolting.
@Commander Cody just revolting
VICE has really gone down the sellout road these past few years.....*sigh*
what the hell!
"Play imagination and a childlike sense of wonder"
Did she just quote Sam Hyde?
Greenwashing much?
What a waste of time!
Peak Capitalism...
Vice is a joke now
