I really loved the colours of the pink and apricot dress on you 😊 And that purple colour, too. Ooh and the blue ❤ And the green! Obvs those are soooo your colours.
Tip for handwasching clothes only, if its not made of wool especially Kaschmir or virgin wool, or with silk, wash it in fine wash cycle of your washing maschine. If it has embroidery or lace put it in a washing net, like for bras, to protect it. And it has some dirt or stains, use some soap and water to break it down a bit, cause the fine washing isn’t super aggressive in removing it. Also avoid washing it to often, since washing machines are still a bit harsh.
I recently found my season and today came a box with clothes I bought and I loved trying them on - for the first time in my life, every single item I tried on suited me so well ❤
I wish there were more shops like that! I do enjoy charity shops but 99% of the time the ones round here don't have anything I would wear. I was amazed when I went to one in London and found it had so much more alternative and trendy stuff.
I both agree and disagree with the whole colours concept. I think its super handy for explaining why 1 orange cardi looks great with a purple top but another orange cardi looks crap so is useful when trying to put together full outfits. But when it comes to shopping, if I know I want a green cardi, I would still just grab all the green ones that I like the style of, try them on, then use the colour method to help me pick of the ones I tried on that I like - which one I like best and is more likely to go with things already in my wardrobe. I also think the colour thing might explain sometimes those moments when you try something on and in theory everything about it is great, the fit, the cut, the pattern, the basic colour (ie 'green') being one you love and style - but something just feels off about it. In those sorts of cases I suspect what I might be picking up on is that particular shade isn't the most flattering for me even though I normally would like that colour. I can see how its really hard to shop on the rack with just your colours. You sort of also need at least the fan of the least flattering ones to help pick them out/avoid them too - then suddenly that's a lot of things to be carrying around. But could fully see how this is helpful for a stylist.
Ever since I was little I avoided off-whites, beige, and soft greys. They make me look washed out. Ever since that color theory started to spread around on UA-cam, I started to look at colors more often. I still don't know which color palette I am, both silver and gold look good on me for example. But ever since I started to look at color even more I do forego sober colors and colors that have a black shade in them. And I picked up a lot of coral, mustard yellow, and teal. I can say, it saves me a lot of money! I like the restriction while shopping.
@@papayafun7226 hi. If coral, mustard and teal look good on you, you could be an autumn. Try to see if rust/ burnt orange and olive green look good. If yes, then you're an autumn. Black (at least for tops or dresses) don't look good on the 3 seasons - only winters can wear them nicely. Black will give the other 3 seasons a sallow/ washed out look.
@@kitty_s23456 rust and burnt orange do look good! Thanks. Because I have blonde hair and I am light, people always expect spring…but those spring colors just don’t work on me. And indeed black tops are a no no. Thank you!
Some washing machines have a hand wash setting. I sew clothes for myself and if I'm worried about them getting damaged I just wash it at 30 degrees with less powder.
That skirt is gorgeous! Hand wash only is likely to preserve the embroidery - you can probably machine wash on cold in a delicates bag with like colours. I always do that with my "hand wash only" and haven't destroyed anything in 15+ years of washing so 🤷🏼♀ I also machine wash my cashmere etc that way.
I love this video!! I really want to go thrift shopping to look for my colors as a brand new spring! 😄 I just found out yesterday. I would love to see more videos exactly like this. ❤
You could buy the clicks or whatever they are called to tie the straps :) intimissimi, tezenis etc sell them :) Also it’s possible to hand wash in the washing machine. On delicate or low temp and low spin cycle. Works for me cos I’m too lazy 😂
I think the second blue is more of a light spring blue and the blue you chose was maybe a true spring blue. Autumns are just more muted whereas spring is more bright. So the yellow - think of spring as golden sunflower yellow and the autumn is more mustard.
Love the fashion videos you make and it's so nice to see I'm not the only one who stands in clothing shops, starring at random items and trying to figure out if it's my season🤣

I LOVE bright colours like you Hannah, and I know I'm a "winter", that's how I look "my best" but I just wear whatever I love and what draws my eyes... most days...regardless lol! Whatever makes you comfortable is what you look BEST in 😘
The orange and pink in the orange and pink dress are fantastic on you! Good job (listening to) Sian! Both dresses are perfect colourwise and a great decision to turn them down for their fit
Literally watching this video wearing a pair of jeans I bought at the Brent Cross charity pop up, highly reccommend! Really hope this catches on as a concept
Re the skirt (and even the cashmere jumper) just put them in a delicates bag or a pillowcase and wash them on a wool/hand wash cycle in the machine and dry flat and they *should* be fine! (Don’t dry cashmere on the radiator. My friend did this and ended up with a tiny shrunken jumper)
So glad you got the embroidered skirt, it's gorgeous! Tbh, I would risk it in the washing machine, but inside out and maybe in one of those mesh bag things you can get to wash tights in?
Hannah, you can wash your skirt in the washing machine. Just put it in a mesh laundry bag and run it on the delicate cycle with your bras. Or run it through quick wash. Just don't wash it too often.
I loved this, so many of your preferences and needs are similar to mine and are rarely reflected online. Thankyou! I thought the green top resonated with you really well, so did the orange 🧡 and the blue top with the fabulous skirt was a great combination.
Such a fun idea. I don't think there's any orange in the summer palette. I (like you) love yellow and orange but as a winter I have to avoid it. At least for tops.
Clothes that are heavily embroidered will often be labelled as hand wash only because the embroidery might get damaged in the wash. Just turn it inside out and put in a pillowcase in the machine and it should be fine.
Oh my, Love the Zara skirt. Being a new mum, I am not fitting into my old clothes. Therefore hands down I need to go on a wee shopping spree. Thank you for letting me know about this huge charity store. ❤️
The green top and skirt is perfect! You could always loosen the bra straps and clip them together like a j hook, but I think it’s just fine if you show straps.
Turn your black Zara skirt inside out, put it in ond of those washing netbags for delicate items and wash at 30 degrees ℃ or woolwash programs. Works for most supposedly difficult items. Also, as long as there are no stains, airing it after each wear will do the job nicely.
Maybe it is due to my laptop brightness/colour, but the crop top seems to be the same colour as the green stripes in the rainbow shirt you were wearing? So I am not surprised that you liked the colour!
Little laundry tips that I learnt recently is to always always zip up hoodies and jeans/trousers, anything with a zip. And fasten anything with velcro (like my husband’s swim shorts), so it can’t catch on anything delicate. If you are nervous about a decal or embroidery, turn it inside out for a little extra protection. I don’t have the patience to wait weeks and weeks for my delicates to be a large enough load to run, so I always throw them in the wash with everything else. Unfortunately, two pieces of new mesh material clothes just got a little damaged when my partner threw them in without following the above steps and literally, the only two mesh things in the whole load got snagged on some velcro that hadn’t been done up. So sad, but I’ll be ok 😭
Oh I love the embroidered skirt. Maybe washing it in a laundry bag, low temperature, short program, no spinning in the end, skirt inside out, so the embroidery doesn't rub on anything? Could work? Maybe? Any washing experts? Hand washing seems unrealistic long term
You only really need to worry about handwashing instructions when wool is involved. The skirt should totally be fine to just wash on the most gentle circle and cold temp! With second hand I always think that most people don't read the instructions anyway when they get new stuff so almost everything in second hand shops has been through the normal hot washing many times before!
From your colour analysis are you a light spring, warm spring, or bright spring? Also that charity shop looked amazing, I wish they had bigger charity stores around here, such a good idea.
Are you a True Spring or Bright Spring? Because that orange/pink dress was more BSp and I think a little oversaturated on you which is why it wasn't working as well as it should have. The purple and green were perfect but orange is hard because it can lean cool. I'm a TSp and don't get away with any coolness in my palette. I also don't subscribe to the "what's on the bottom doesn't matter" theory as a TSp because we're a mid contrast season so high contrast (like adding black to brights) is always going to influence the look. If you're a BSp it works because of the amount of saturation in your colours but for TSp I tend to go a bright blue denim or brown/khaki instead of black. That said, you'll always feel better if you're confident and doing what you personally prefer x

Love a followup video. Also yes that purple looked amazing. Your bright color blocking style is so fun and makes me want to try the same💛🧡
If you‘re washing Maschine has a delicate or Hand wash or wool/silk (they have different names but all do the same thing) cycle it’s completely fine to wash stuff that says „hand wash only“. Just use laundry detergent that is made for wool or silk with it. :)
I think you did a wonderful job. You picked this up so fast!
Hannah I love your fashion content and I would love to see more of it in the future.
It's nice to see sustainable fashion content and your fashion videos are just comforting and fun which is what I need in my life right now.
Hiya! My spouse likes to turn normal bra starts into racer back ones with little clips that look like 2 Cs facing eachother. I wonder if you could find some at your local fabric store for the green crop.
That green looks beautiful on you!
I'm so fascinated!! You like like an autumn but the spring colors are definitely the right colors for you!!
Just started vid... What a gorgeous scarf!!!!! Perfect oxoxo
It was knitted for me for my birthday by my friend Leena!
Please do a depop/Vinted follow up in a few months when your milkshake stops bringing all the boys to the yard. Plus would love to see your buying/selling online second hand process, please it’s the trilogy we need especially when where I live (Yorkshire) it’s snowing and showing no sign of stopping. Lots of love x
I really loved the colours of the pink and apricot dress on you 😊 And that purple colour, too. Ooh and the blue ❤ And the green! Obvs those are soooo your colours.
For some hand wash items you can get away with a gentle machine cycle - I use a garment bag when I do that 😅 Love that skirt Hannah, so cute!
I was waiting to see what you'll do with the analysis results!
I throw my hand wash items in the washing machine on the delicate setting with cold water, then I let them hang to dry. I haven't ruined anything yet.
I'm glad you did a follow up cause the colours concept seemed a little flimsy but it was fun to see it in practice
I loved the purple on you. When I first saw you try it on I thought it was super pretty.
You can just match all new clothes to your scarf which looks all bright spring colors, genius!
I loved the green top on you ! I think I might be spring too because i think i suit those really bright colors too !
I LOOOOOOOVE the orange with the purple! Those aren't colors I would've thought to put together, but it looks so good!
I wouldn't wear the rainbow stripes with the patterned skirt - its a bit too busy - probably better with a block colour
Well done! I think you got your colors exactly right.
You could buy the clicks or whatever they are called to tie the straps :) intimissimi, tezenis etc sell them :)
Also it’s possible to hand wash in the washing machine.
I think you did great! Love your use of bright colors! There's so many neutrals in the world of style.
This video is so much fun! 🤩 The embroidered skirt is such a great find and the orange-pink dress color combo is also beautiful on you, these spring colors are giving you the glow for sure 😊
I LOVE bright colours like you Hannah, and I know I'm a "winter", that's how I look "my best" but I just wear whatever I love and what draws my eyes... most days...regardless lol! Whatever makes you comfortable is what you look BEST in 😘
The skirt made me gasp! Such an amazing find
The green top looks great on you!!
I just got typed a couple of days ago as a spring so this was super helpful Hannah! Living the rainbow dream 🌈
That green top changed your whole face tone! Made you look super bright 🌞
I think I am a bright spring, so this is a bit helpful. Also I appreciate that you shop second hand.
Good video.
This was fascinating and I just wanted to pop in here to say oh my GOSH that purple top looked SO LOVELY on you! The color suited you so well!
The blue looks so good on you! and the shirt looks really comfy which is an added bonus
Wanted to add that my best charity shop find by far was a pair of purple patent leather heels in size 3.5 (UK, which is 6 American).
Oh my god, that last bright orange looks AMAZING on you! Completely brightens you up, makes you look blonder and more awake
I think the green top was Kelly green, a summer color.
Oh my, Love the Zara skirt. Being a new mum, I am not fitting into my old clothes. Therefore hands down I need to go on a wee shopping spree. Thank you for letting me know about this huge charity store. ❤️
An ivory of off-white top with some texture to it would look amazing with that denim skirt! Otherwise, pearly jewellery and satin scarves 💚❤️
Loved this video and I think you did a great job with your colours 💜
loved this! yay for charity shops :)
I just love your videos so much!! I can really tell how dedicated you are to making them. There’s something about your videos that are so comforting ❤
Fine and fancy was great …as a first try perfect colours
You could totally do a cardigan over the green top to “hide” the racerback thing if needed!
I feel like we need a reaction video from Sian to this one!
