Have you ever seen two people count to 100 in a film before? Well look no further. I wanted to test my new Canon Scoopic 16mm camera so I wrote a short film, then on the same day we went out and shot it. Don’t even ask me where the idea came from cause I have no idea hahaha. Filmed the whole thing in order on a 100ft roll.

Fun fact: in our cinema class we had an assignment where our teacher told us he didn’t care about the story so if we wanted we could just make our characters count
I must've been in your class in another life
holy shit this is gorgeous to look at
thank u
Action really picks up in the 60's. Dramatic ending follows.
👍🏾👍🏾This is AWESOME!!! Great tension build up. 😅 Brilliant Work!!!!!
gorgeous work!
💛
So inspiring! Great work!
💛
this is so cooool
💛
Did you have them dub in post?
I thought the millimeter of the lens as they count. The takes are created according to the lens count and millimeter.
Damnnn this is cool
siyuxty syevin
Gotta try counting edging with the homies 🧮
ayo
damn, never thought counting could be so intense and scenic 😮
the camera angles are funny!

16mm makes everything look so beautiful!
SWTG THE NZ ACCENT MAKES IT 10X BETTER 😭
1000% haha
00:51 its 69
beautiful look. was this graded post development or is this straight out of negatives ?
it was graded, but we kept it as natural as possible !
itd do be grainy tho
Nice, what a motion picture camera you shot on
Canon Scoopic !
Hey!!! I’m in a cinema school and I want to know exactly what camera did y’all used and how did y’all record the sounds! Please it’s soo beautiful
Canon Scoopic! And we dubbed the audio after
This is fire
💛
at 0:58 did you use a physical crash zoom lens, or is that zoom done in post and a shot switch?
Film just hits different.
facts.
i fuck with this so much
💛
I actually enjoyed this 😂😂
That was cute ☺
This is very clever stuff! Nicely shot and edited. I suppose you dubbed the voices in post. Great! I like the "story", even if you say there is no story: the girls start with a casual conversation which goes into a fight, trying to one-up each other, but in the end they find consensus. Love it! . Film stock is a bit grainy. I guess you used expired, faster stock and had to adjust in post, bringing out the grain. The Canon Scoopic usually delivers very crisp images and yours is no exception. That shot with the vignetting: is it a wide angle attachment lens? Anyway: thanks for sharing.
it was an old roll I had lying around, and yup we dubbed the voices, all we could hear was the camera shutter hahaha.
@@cnrpr very well done.
This feels like it shouldn't be as compelling as it is?
re: script yeah this is pretty much all I can come up with too
I love this film look, brilliant!
💛
I love this film
This is the greatest thing I’ve ever witnessed. Thank you.
Brilliant idea, and 16 mm is the most precious thing in the world. I love this!
Does your scoopic have a split image focus in the viewfinder? Its sharper than most vids on here with this model.
Nah it doesn't. Shot with a 500T roll during a very bright day so the iris was at like F22 haha.
So simple yet so effective
This is awesome !
I love this
100 ! love this
mhm
a simple story would be nicer
i agree
It wasn't a simple story?
@@futureprogress could've been a lot more stripped back
@@cnrpr too many numbers, I couldn't keep track of them all
