It’s a D1 thing where they remixed the music from some things for the music to change in updated versions of the content. The most well known is sepiks redux.
My best friend said “Now just watch, you’re about to meet my favorite boss in the game.” I was confused so I just waited, that rockstar entrance with this badass track, I immediately choked. In that moment, I was glad I came back to D2.

Here I am, almost at the end of my destiny rope about to let it go forever and move on to other games after putting in thousands of hours into this beloved franchise. I keep telling myself it's for the best, but then I go into a nightfall and hear this theme start playing while Ignovun enters the battlefield like a rock God and it reminds me that Destiny still has some endearing qualities about it, qualities that made me fall in love with this game years ago. I might just stay a little while longer now, but goddamn it Bungie you all need to get your shit together before everyone leaves for good.
Ladies and gentlemen, our reigning champion! The Eviscerator of Eliksni, Horror of the Hive, Violator of Vex, Grinder of Guardians and chosen of the Empress herself! Welcome to the ring…IGNOVUUUUUUN!!!
Call me crazy, but a part of me somewhat wishes Ignovun survived this fight. The fact Caiatl chose him for the rite of proving strongly implies he was one of her best soldiers, to the point a whole fortress full of Cabal gave their lives out of respect for him. Even if this victory did lay the groundwork for our alliance with the Cabal, I can’t help but feel off about costing them one of their heroes, especially since they had just lost their homeworld by this point. Imagine this: we defeat Ignovun, but he’s merely wounded rather than killed. He demands that we finish him and let him die with honour. Instead, we convince him to concede the fight and to regain his honour later down the line, as his people still need him more than ever (considering how stupidly OP the player is, even by the lore’s standards, that might be a factor in convincing him). Alive but disgraced, Ignovun would be determined to regain his honour in battle, first against the Lucent Hive, then the dark armies of the Witness, perhaps as Saladin’s lieutenant. Eventually, by the end of the Final Shape and the demise of the Witness, Ignovun would have finally proven himself once more, perhaps even ascending to become the new Dominus of the Empire, commanding the Imperial legions whilst the Empress focuses on rebuilding her empire with the universal threat neutralised. I dunno, I just feel like we could do with more friendly Cabal characters. We got plenty of loveable pals and chums with the Eliksni, it just seems odd for Caiatl to be the only allied Cabal who personally matters to us. Maybe have Ignovun’s character arc intertwine with Caiatl’s, illustrate her changing attitudes through her relationship with her former champion. Perhaps start off with her disappointment over his apparent cowardice, only to gradually understand why he tapped out, slowly but surely warming up to him still being her finest warrior until finally embracing him as her right hand man. (Sigh) if only I could write a decent fanfic.
“Arise, my chosen! Fight for the glory of the Cabal!”
One Vanguard Strike somehow has the coolest boss theme in the entire game.
Keep in mind Nightfall version of Devil’s Lair uses Sepiks Redux
Sepiks Redux is really good too, let's be honest.
They gave 'Dust Giants' the same treatment as Sepiks' theme. It's glorious
Honestly 😂
So they picked a fan-made remix of the Dust Giants theme?
@@numbjuhnu Not fan made, though that would've been kickass. I just meant they gave a Destiny 1 ost a metal remix

Same here I came back to try D2 after years and when this theme played, I was like "oh I think I like it here"
dude absolutely enters like ric flair
That entrance and ost is the reason the boss is my 3rd favorite of all time
This dudes entrance gonna be everyone after the virus is over
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@itsPotatoFPS I have just sorted his music in the ,,epic boss themes” folder

If this isn't played at my funeral, I will haunt you forever.
Something about the guitar reminds me a lot of Risk of Rain 2's absolutely bangin' soundtrack
It does ☺
This theme made my jaw drop to the floor
Same 😱
This theme is as badass as the GM encounter, when you hear it, you'll know.
"Sepiks Redux is the best strike boss theme in Destiny" - Ignovun: "Hold my beer"!
So true 😂😂😂
They're cabal...
Its "Hold my wine!"
There's a reason I call this Cabal Stomp Redux.
This bossfight on grandmaster gives off "I heard yall talking *mad shit* about my queen" vibes
Boss be simping fr
@@Lego_hq_21 he simped so hard he became chosen
This shit was so hype
Right 😆😆😆
This was the first strike I played after years from coming back last season and the music and entrance from this boss battle was god tier
They gotta add more bosses with badass entrances and ost’s, it makes the boss fights way better and makes it feel way more intense
By process of elimination this is the best ignovun ost upload, Also thats a badass screencap.
I appreciate that boss 😎

popped super with my teammates as he came in our first run: the synergy of that moment was really exciting xD
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hitting Ignovun with Thundercrash with this theme in the background makes me feel like a total badass.
This will forever be my favorite strike & theme from D2.
I think the newness with d1 nostalgia made this remix even better, good times
True 😎
Hearing 2:20 behind the dialog the first time I played the strike was such a cool vibe idk why lol
Lol I feel you 🤣🤣
Oh god fireballs
This track really goes cabals deep
Definitely my second favorite strike in the game
Reminds me a lot of Halo Reach especially the track 'Lone Wolf'
Sounds way better in game I have no idea why
Calor do momento
Destiny needs way more guitar for that juicy Halo 2 nostalgia that'll keep me playing

Lol right! 🤣🤣
On a side note, why do Ignovun’s eyes glow like that? No other Cabal has that look, but it’s pretty intimidating.
Could be the helmet
It’s bussin
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me: why do I hear boss music? Oh that’s right I’m the boss(draws sword)
