Samuel was truly underrated, but he trashing Nnamdi & Revis was ridiculous. Nnamdi was a man corner & so was Revis. Eagles tried making him a zone corner. Revis dominated Top WRs like Marshall said.

What about all the top 10 scoring defenses Tom had
The afc east and the winter weather in New England. Go look at the afc east qbs and offenses they played against every year. The pats routinely padded their scoring defense playing terrible offenses. Then you factor in that new england weather is pretty bad starting from the end of October(it's either gonna be windy, rainy, or windy and rainy, cold and windy, snowy and windy, or just cold af.) The pats had good defenses but most years their defense(outside of 03, 04, 14, 15, &19)was not as good as the scoring numbers said. Hell most of the time they were middle or bottom of the pack in yards. Because their style was let these mediocre teams blow themselves up. Whenever they went up against a team with a qb worth a damn and they weren't home they was getting lit up. But those were the games that brady would be lighting the other team up as well. Also the pats played a ball control, where they prioritized getting a lead and possessing the ball, and they almost never turned the ball over. So the other teams were never getting alot of chances to score on the pats defense.

@@truth3412 In my opinion, if a great scoring defense can translate its success into the playoffs, yards don't really matter. The Patriots did that for the most part. They usually held their playoff opponents to 24 points or fewer, with some notable exceptions. That's going to give you a chance to win essentially every game, and when you have Tom Brady you're going to win a lot of those games. Even Pats defenses that weren't world beaters had some incredible performances. (Held Rams to 17 points in 01, held Chargers to 21 points in 06, held Rams to 3 points in 18, held the Falcons scoreless in the 4th.) There were a couple terrible performances, but usually those defenses were pretty solid in the playoffs. It was the perfect symbiotic relationship, Brady with a top scoring defense. That's why they won as much as they did.
