Saw this in another video. Works like a charm. I did it on my F-350. I used new Gorilla lug nuts I found on ebay for $160 for a set of 32. Expensive but I can't imagine what a tire shop or dealer would charge to replace the lug nuts.

Genius! I’ve had my cousin help me get one off. With the 21 1/2. Thanks ! I’m going to try. I don’t understand why they weren’t recalled.

The absolute best method for removing those on Ford, Dodge and other vehicles. I have been using this for several years. It works fast and 100% of the time. Other time consuming methods of trying to rip and peel the decorative caps off usually damage the wheel and the steel part of the lug nut underneath the cap. Simply zip the cap off at the press-flange at the bottom of the cap with the Diablo hole saw and be done with it. Now you can use a socket to remove the steel lug nut. Yes, always replace the factory junk lug nuts with solid steel aftermarket ones. It could save a lot of grief changing a flat tire on the side of the road. Impossible!
Note: Do not buy cheap hole saws, I tried that. Diablo is the best I tried for this work and they last a long time. Watch Tom's video again to see just far to drill to remove the press-flange only. Don't get carried away drilling, it only takes a few seconds for each lug nut. The size hole saw you need will vary according to the vehicle. Make sure it fits over the decorative cap and bottoms out on the press-flange at the bottom of the cap. If you do this on on multiple vehicles, I suggest you buy various size hole saws and the Diablo "Snap Lock Plus" quick change mandrel for not only quick changes but to solidly attach the hole saw to your drill without wobbling around using another way to attach it to your drill. That is a great Diablo system and a must for hole saws accurate drilling. Thanks Tom for showing this video.

Best way to deal with those nasty caps! Using a pliers/chisel took 30 mins per, this took 1min. Thank you!!

I did too on my 2017 mustang GT. Bought a 21.5mm socket and it worked well.

I just took a screwdriver and chiseled them off. took a couple of minutes on each nut... Replaced all 24 with doormans on my f150 for 86.00 at .. problem solved.
