I’ve had a few pumps I’m on my 3rd. And it’s hard to find updated videos of the gray duo but these help as well. This will be the most “mobile” pump I’ve had since I’ve tried the Madela new pump in style and the spectra s2. I am hoping this will work out for me since I have 2 little ones now with the new baby coming. I’ve never been great at pumping so I’m hopping just looking up info for months will help until march lol
When she said “rip off your nipples for a second” I died 😂. But I am very appreciative of this video I’ve got 5 weeks of pregnancy left and I just got my pump in the mail and I was not tryna read that book.

My pump parts are not the same when it comes to the diaphragm part 😢 mine doesn’t even connect either, and I’m like missing the top part of the diaphragm. So frustrating. Thank you for the video!

I just bought this pump second hand off mercari new in the box I really hope I like it! Still deciding on whether or not I want to upgrade to the S1 spectra or stick with the S2 and not pay an extra $100 for it

I broke my brand new motif! 😫😫😫😫 I have used it twice before and hooked it up to my freemie cups. Worked really well! But then I got lazy, decided to skip the bulky BFP and hooked the pump direct to my medela PISA flanges (i used the purple tubing connector of the medela pisa directly to the motif hose). I did that and had to pump in the car during a one-day off site seminar last week. I was about 2 mins into pumping when I heard a strange sound to the pump. Lo and behold, the breastmilk have sucked through the tubing and right to the pump! In a couple more minutes the pump shut off (it was fully charged before i used it). The milk must have grounded the circuit board inside 😩 there’s no service provider for breast pumps where I live.
Oh no!! I’m so sorry to hear that momma😩 that seriously is the worst especially when pumps aren’t cheap. I hope you find an affordable replacement soon🤞🏻💕

My new grey and white one does not do the cycle change using plus and minus sign
Can the memory be set in expression mode as well as stimulation mode? Or do you have to pick only 1 that can be saved?
When I hold down my minus button, it won't give me an option to increase or decrease the cycle speed. I tried it in expression and massage mode and it won't do it..
Give their customer service an email or call! They should be able to trouble shoot for you!

I was deciding between those and spectra. I decided to go with motif and I really like it.
If you aren’t going to be traveling constantly where the weight of your pump isn’t a problem, I’d just go with the Lansinoh. They’re both amazing but I love the Lansinoh a tad more!
I feel kind of silly for asking but what is the purpose of massage mode
It’s just a different setting that’ll offer a different frequency. One setting will stimulate milk more and the other will draw it out. There’s no wrong way to use them though and do whatever gives you more milk!
Is there any other bottel you have found that works for this pump other than the motif?

@@Julie-tm5vy I ended up buying an adapter for the flanges I have bc I didn't want to buy a new one. The set up is more compatible with spectra parts. Smaller madela style flange with adaptet works with no problems. Look at Maymom parts on Amazon.

The diaphragm membrane sticks to the top part of the backflow protector when it inflates. Do you have any suggestions on how to stop this from happening?
Is it dry? Do you take them apart and wash them every time? I haven’t had that issue. If either of those aren’t an issue I’d call Motif!
This is happening to mine too. Did u find a way to fix it.
Same! Working on contacting customer service bc the suction also isn’t working on that one when it is happening.
I never figured out how to solve the problem and when my milk supply started to suffer I rented a pump from the hospital.
Update: I contacted Motif customer service and they were great, asked for a video of the problem while NOT attached to me, warranty registration and proof of purchase. They replaced the whole unit in a speedy manner. Gonna test it out today after washing and sanitizing🤞🏼

Does this one have a car charger or can it plug into the madela car charger
Not that I know of. The battery on it is quite long!
Do you know if this would compare to Spectra S9+?
Sorry momma, I haven’t tried that one yet. But I do know they’re both portable, rechargeable pumps so they are similar in a sense!

Do you happen to know anything about the new Motif Luna pump? My insurance offers the choice between the Motif Luna and this one and I’m struggling to decide since I can’t find much information about the Luna. Thanks for the very thorough info on the duo, much appreciated!!
I don’t know anything from personal use but I have heard really awesome things. It’s one of the top pumps on my list to try when Lexi gets here in August! I know the Duo is awesome so it makes me want to believe the Luna will be too, I just can’t say for sure😕
Can you use any other bottles? Can you attach any other bottles to the pump? As in a mam bottle or a scent bottle? This breast pump was given to me but without any bottles.
I personally haven’t tried other bottles so I can’t say but hopefully someone else can answer that for you momma!

This pump has absolutely no suction I'm so sad my boobs are engorged and here I am hand expressing with a pump that doesn't work on my dresser 🤦🏽♀️
I would definitely be calling their customer service. It should have suction and I’m sure they’d be more than happy to troubleshoot with you. Your flange size is also crucially important in suction level. I hope it turns around for you momma.

Abiding by FTC guidelines I would have to tell you that it was a paid review, which it wasn’t. I’m sorry the pump isn’t working for you but that doesn’t mean others can’t like it. This video is years old and I still enjoy the Duo to this day.
