The reason why Chanyeol and Sehun have to monitor each other when they are recording is because they usually write their own rap sections and they have to make sure that their flow and style match each other so it doesn't sound like two completely different styles. Plus, Chanyeol has more experience as a producer, so he knows what needs to be done in order to combine the two parts to make them a cohesive rap section.
There's a saying: "Sehun, who was raised on Chanyeol's back"; their SC logo even mirrors this~ At some point, Chanyeol really took Sehun's rap instruction under his control, and it was really after this that Sehun went from having no lines/only a few words to some actually decent parts and eventually EXO-SC was born^.^
Fun little extra tidbits about EXO training each other:
When Chen and Baekhyun got into SM, neither really had dance training background and they had very short trainee periods (around a little over half a year). So, in addition to normal SM classes, Kai took charge of Chen and Sehun took charge of Baekhyun when it came to dance.
Baekhyun even took Chanyeol to lessons with his vocal instructor during Chanyeol's recovery after he had to have surgery on his vocal chords.
EXO seems to be really good at knowing when certain members need help or a little extra support~~~
P.S. There's an episode of Infinite Challenge where Yoo Jae-Suk is challenged to record and perform a song with EXO. Fans really liked it, cause it was one of the first times we got to see EXO record a song and learn choreo for a song from beginning all the way to the performance. And while the episode was very funny, Jae-suk still took it very seriously and respectfully~~~ I'd highly recommend it for a reaction down the line^.^
That's why we need EXO documentary . So much to be told , and will never get old. EXO brotherhood.

Xiumin is all about the details, actually. When they all came to his house he was a wreck because they were touching everything and making a mess. 🤣🤣
Fun fact about Chen and Baekhyun. They auditioned on the same day and Baekhyun thought he wasn’t going to get in because of “that bastard”. We’re all happy they did because EXO wouldn’t be the same without either of them.
I bet the people judging their auditions couldn't believe their luck!!

I love how focused they get. Perspective is recording this album, DO was filming his movie, Suho working on a musical Lead, Chanyoel on his drama, Xuiman on his drama, Chen planning his wedding, Kai was doing concerts, Baekhyun doing concerts, and Sehun was filming also. To give us this great album with their schedules is beyond impressive.
I think CHEN was preparing for his 1st Japanese mini album and Japan tour during recording this album, not only on his private life.

Kai was touching his neck probablybecause he had a cold during this recording he felt the need to control his voice by the feel of the vibration of his vocal cords..

We always say that chanyeol raised Sehun on his back and chanyeol agrees with us😂😂
It's in moments like when Chanyeol is helping Sehun that you really see Sehun is still the baby of the group lol. And you'll see in Exo Ladder too that Sehun gets scared easily. Then there's Xiumin who is the eldest, but also the one who often does the most aegyo (Korean for doing cute actions) like puffing out his cheeks. .

I actually do listen to my kpop cds in the car, and I display the physical albums on a shelf in my flat. A note for exo’s albums, it’s notoriously difficult to get most of their older albums because they’re not really in print any more, both my lotto (2016) and the war (2017) albums are second hand.
Also I can’t believe you’ve got this far and not reacted to any of Exo’s more poppy title tracks. Call me baby, love me right and lucky one are some of their best.
I listen to the cds in my car too! It hits differently then just spotify.
@@katy8605 it just has a different vibe and I can appreciate it as a body of work more. Like, I loved Suho’s self portrait album from the get go but something about listening to it on CD in the summer just hits so different, I would dare to say it’s become my favourite Exo solo album
@@_dont_mind_me Yep I get what you mean. Different parts stand out to me when listening to their CDs in the car. It sometimes feels like I'm noticing things I never noticed before because the volume feels not the same for elements of the song and details stand out way more. I don't have Suho's album yet though. I haven't collected any of their solo albums yet. I hope I can have them eventually.
Really when I buy an EXO album it's for a kind of collect one treasure which I save and protect carefully, besides thinking that an album is not just a cd, it usually contains photobook, photocard, postcard and poster. Mainly I listen the album through music apps like spotify, melon, shazam, apple music, youtube etc because is so important make streaming for music charts.

In the dark old times of 2011~2014 we actually played our albums on CD Players because K-Pop was not on foreigner streaming sites!! We could only listen tru apple music or download on mule or smth...I'm Brazilian an used to download from 4-shared or play my real CDs my EXO's MAMA album was played a lot and we used to have special DVDs too of cconcerts... Exo Planet will always be my favorite!! ✨🤍😌

Chanyeol & Sehun are my fav Duo out of Exo and my no. 1 and no. 2 biases. But at some point you don’t have a fixed bias when it comes to Exo, you just love them all for their abilities and personalities 😂

Sehun often lacks confidence (I mean, why! But there you go) Chanyeol has done a great deal over the years to help him feel more confident. They work so well together. You also saw one of the other closer friendships - Chen and Xiumin, who have been close since being the two Korean members of EXO-M.
My discs? Never been played! They are in pride of place on display with some other Kpop and I do look at the booklets from time to time, but I've never played the CDs. I used to play other groups - SS501 was my first big favourite and I played those, but EXO's are too precious and too beautiful. Besides, I'm on UA-cam watching new content, so why not watch them perform rather than just listen. The performances are the killers.
Tbh it makes sense why Sehun doesn't feel confident. He has so much potential but SM gave him little to no lines throughout the years and out of all the members Sehun is the only one whose vocals aren't utilized much. It's only starting from the DFTF era that Sehun actually started to get the right line distribution and even took part in vocals on occasions.

I must admit, I played the first two albums I bought very often in my car, but after I started the collection, I didn't do it anymore, I only opened to see what's inside , I only listen to Spotify and UA-cam . If you don't know what to buy first, you need to think about what you wish to have first, something you already know or something not heard yet. You can decide what MV you wish to react to next and buy it, then before the reaction, you can film while you unbox it too.
Chanyeol said in an interview that he agreed to the SC subunit mostly for Sehun, they are good friends and he knows that Sehun has less opportunities to prove himself outside EXO because he's not too confident at singing, like the other members. To mention that both of them, together with Baekhyun, are attending the same private vocal coach, a very good one, we, Exo-L did notice the big improvement, specially for Sehun. The SC boys have a lot of behind the scenes videos and many fan made from playing games online, dissing their company low key and even spoiling their entire upcoming album, just hilarious 😅

21:38 For anyone interested in EXO's concept/worldview, I highly recommend buying the physical album for EXO's The War: The Power of Music album. There are cards in there that break down each member's power (except Lay, because he was not part of that album-.-) and some of the abilities they have because of those powers(which is really helpful for members like, Chen, Baekhyun, and D.O's)~~~ [The cards also have version 2 of their symbols and their jersey numbers~]
You also get one random page of a short comic that was drawn that ties into their concept, including Power's MV. And while you only get one page in the album, it's fairly easy to find complete scans of the pages online with a little searching^.^ One of EXO-Ls' biggest hopes is that one day the comic will be continued...

I have almost 95% of albums released by EXO ( group and solos) and some of them are still sealed. I dont usually play the CDs coz of Apple music, Spotify, and Alexa. Though I get the music from ITunes as well, I still buy the physical albums for my EXO collection, as tokens of my fangirl phase, as gifts to new EXOLs who cant buy one, and most importantly, to help them chart.

For albums, I never actually use them. But I do use the photocards and the rest of the stuff in the album. But we currently have a version of the album that's playable. Back then, it was called kihno. It's like a mini mp3 bluetooth keychain or something that you can connect with your phone and play the tracks. Can't remember what they call it now tho

Oh nooo your exo ladder got blocked? Fingers crossed we'll get to see it someday. Some people horizontally flip the video when they post footage from shows or make the video faded. Others use a timer on the screen that shows they are only using 10min or less of the show and then they just pick the most interesting parts to show.

To be fair I used to download songs from cds before cuz I don't do Spotify or Apple Music. I think the last time I played in a CD player was the Obsession album and it was my first listen too. Played it right after I received my copy I really vibed with YAYAYA repeated it a couple of times and dance like an idiot in our living room XD I got lazy over the years I guess. I'm too tired to even plug our CD player so I just listen in UA-cam now
