Been to a few state parks lately myself. Checked out Lory last week and had Arthur’s Rock to myself for a good 20 min. My favorite though is Staunton state park near Conifer. Lots of trails and great views, not to mention an epic waterfall that flows strong in winter. A bit far for you but worth checking out
