I still have my radioshack micronta and it's my prize detector I've pulled alot of change out of the ground with it and still take it out for a spin from time to time. I have a whites and a Fisher but I have a special place for my first detector. I bought it at a second hand store for $5 nd to date have found $311 in change several rings and a gold chain. Located an old underground water system system from the 1940,s era at a friend's house with it.
I'm not too familiar with the metal detector i have (the Radio Shack Micronta 4001, which didn't come with a manual) and found this video helpful. I finally know what the red button is for. Gave your video a thumbs up.
Amen brother. Me and my neighbor out there messing around with that silly thing and I could not figure out what that red buttons for neither but he and then I got a manual and read it confused me more than anything.
Same. I actually got mine off of the side of the road. Went to dollar general and grabbed some batteries, and BAM I’m finding lost treasures and stuff. Now, I also know what the red button is used for! I clearly still have a lot to learn. I find things like this interesting now that I’m becoming an old fart😂. Good video, at least for me it was. Happy Hunting! Lol
Well, first of all, this isn't a "how to" video - It's a "How I did it video". But ... I thought about your question for a while - I really did. And the only answer I can give you is ..... "because I can". My question to you is: why are you watching you tube to learn how to use a metal detector - why not read the manual first? You're just as lazy as I am but don't want to admit it....thanks for watching!
I had one of these when I was a kid- a long, long, looooooong time ago. Takes me back!

One of the best metal detector in the history of metal detectors
I have one my friend!! My uncle send me
I know this video is old but i wanted to say thank you for explaining some details about the metal detector.
I have the same one, I got it free from a friend. I think your video is helpful thank you.
I have this detector and in the VLF mode the depth is only 2-3 inches. In TR1 or TR2 it is much better. It works and finds metal.

Why in the world would you create a video on how to use this metal detector when you have not at least read the manual.
