She kinda resembles Kelly Rowland and Gladys Knight, I remember Rah from the Carmen movie I was a kid and like her voice it's so real and unfiltered her sound is missed!
Thank you for giving Rah her spotlight. Rah deserves so much credit she has the skill, lyrics, flow, stage presence, mic control and the looks. Much love and respect to her.
Rah Digga is one of my favorite emcees. I follow her on Spotify and have to say that I was disappointed that she didn't perform at any of the concerts at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, especially since Q-Tip was the curator for the program for a few years. That venue brought back classic hip hop. She should have been there in the mix. Hopefully, she will get to perform for their 2022/2023 season.
IKR She's adorable! I always had the biggest crush on her. My homies didn't see it, I guess cuz she wasn't dressing like Foxy & Kim lol. Fools lol. She's gorgeous !
Why is she underrated...?? She's truly great. She seems sooooo humble & nice. It upsets me to see/hear about how underrated these ppl are who actually deserves their flowers...!! I remember Rah on "Touch It" she killed it. Her part was so crazy. I loved it..!!
I've always loved Rah's spirit and energy! I love the intro of the music video "Pass The Courvoisier" where she and Busta are in the colorful room. She's definitely an unappreciated and forgotten artist. Her career really should've been more successful. If it wasn't for her Busta Rhymes features, I wouldn't even know who she is, oh and the Cowboys video really helped too. Now that was a treat to have her rapping with THE Lauryn Hill!!! I wanna recommend Rah's song "Party & Bullshit" to anyone who cares. That song is dope. Thanks Let's Get To The Root for honoring Rah Digga!
Yes it was I wish she will have at least more albums I think she only did two albums that actually got released that's what I'm talking about two albums that got released
It was kind of autobiographical. That song Lesson (I think it was called) with Queen Latifah's Princess of The Posse sample provided me with a lot about her upbringing that I had no idea about. What a life she experienced.
This girl has mad skills. My favorites are joints she did with Busta Rhymes. On the video "Pass The Courvoisier", she displays great verbal chemistry, she's in lock step with Busta word for word, finishing words for him and so on. I found that beginning song to that video, off tha hook. Had she had the right people behind her to back her, her rap career could've went way further. Rah Digga, one of my top female rappers of all time. PERIOD!!.
@@vicp9200 sorry try again. Her story is way bigger than that lol. Any who like the original comment said "They should do a video on her" ....said what they said.
It makes sense that Rakim and Kool G Rap are influences because Rah was RAW.... She got caught up in the politics of it all with Busta going through his drama.. It's always harder and will always be harder for the female MC especially back then... I'm glad she's doing well.. Sn/Man that house fire ruined so much music Tip had...It was devastating... So I understand him being sidetracked.. Dope job as always 🖤
She was/is very raw indeed. Damn, I vaguely remember hearing about that fire. That could kill anybody's spirit. Hard work and creativity gone just like that...smh
Rah Digga was always a fire female rapper. I have her first cd in my collection still. When I hear these new generation female rapper to me they don’t have nothing on the ones from the past. Rah had bars for days and that’s era I miss. She didn’t have to rap around her cookie or had bad she is all day long..just straight, hardcore bars that could go toe to toe with the guys. I loved her with Flip Mode..I’m just glad her and Busta are still good with each other.
I met her clubbing we hung out all night. She was kind funny engaging open and amazing. We exchanged information but went on with life. I really enjoyed that night. And remember we hugged goodbye and both wished eachother a very good life.
OMG them old pics take me back! She so dang cute ! Had the biggest crush on her ! Still my fav female rapper. She deserves so much more credit. And more movie roles!
Same yo! She's straight magnetic in every sense. I've adored her from day one ! I remember losing my shit in the theater when she came on screen, jumping out my seat & pointing, feelin all proud of her, like it was someone I knew personally IRL. Such a dork smh 🤣.
I always had a love for Rah Digga! She just seemed like a genuine person and had her own style! I always wished she was bigger than what she was. But to me she still one of the greatest to do it! And I’m most def gonna be looking for that movie Comin out.

@@fedoramcclaren4294 😆😆🤣 secret club! This series you do is amazing ! I’ve been thinking about day 26, danity Kane, Dirty money and the whole era of making the band groups wondering 💭 what happened 😭just an idea 💡! Love the content fr !
They kind of told their stories through other interviews. Diddy dropped all of them after 1 album because he felt they wouldn’t be able to hit #1 a second time. It led all of them to try to be independent solo artists. Most of them ended up leaving the music game and focusing on normalcy or just being writers instead of musicians. Some of them still make music like Dawn and Willie but it never charts. Day 26 just got “back together” for the Millennium Tour early this year. But they just did that for some money I guess. They still went back to working solo afterwords. You can find them on all on IG.
Rah Digga definitely deserves more credit and she also deserves her flowers while she's still here
She’s very underrated
The good ole days when there was a VARIETY of female rappers in the hip hop game! ❤️
100%
For real
Exactly because she didn't do the typical sex thing I liked that about her .
I bet she was dizzy in the video on the harness thing.
Her back & forth verse with Lauryn Hill on Cowboy is 1 of the most special treats ever
