- Rapper, writer, actress and activist Rah Digga, born Rashia Fisher, is well known as a long-time member of the Flipmode Squad, a hip hop collective led by fellow rapper Busta Rhymes. She parted ways with the group after a nearly decade long run to venture out on her own. Even though she’s been labelled one of rap's most prominent women MCs, her professional journey hasn’t been an easy one and her personal life has also had its share of trials and tribulations.

Rah Digga definitely deserves more credit and she also deserves her flowers while she's still here
She’s very underrated
The good ole days when there was a VARIETY of female rappers in the hip hop game! ❤️
100%
For real
Exactly because she didn't do the typical sex thing I liked that about her .
I bet she was dizzy in the video on the harness thing.
Her back & forth verse with Lauryn Hill on Cowboy is 1 of the most special treats ever
Facts
"It's apparent you're no talent cuz ya blazing in ya saddles." Yes, they did that much justice.
Most Definitely Agreed
Yesss🔥🔥🔥 one of my favs
Shes a classic. These new aged kids have no idea
"I write my own rhymes!"- Rah Digga
Rah Digga was a dope artist. Unique, Gifted and Beautiful ❤️
Yes
Yes Indeed Digga Digga Birth Name Rahseeda
She kinda resembles Kelly Rowland and Gladys Knight, I remember Rah from the Carmen movie I was a kid and like her voice it's so real and unfiltered her sound is missed!
13 Ghosts is STILL one of my favorite movies. So glad a story was done on her. I love Rah Digga. Can Flipmode do a reunion tour?!
Rah Digga's Dirty Harriet album was released on the same day as Big Pun's second and final album Yeeeah Baby on April 4th, 2000
Yes it was I wish she will have at least more albums I think she only did two albums that actually got released that's what I'm talking about two albums that got released
It was kind of autobiographical. That song Lesson (I think it was called) with Queen Latifah's Princess of The Posse sample provided me with a lot about her upbringing that I had no idea about. What a life she experienced.
She has the most beautiful smile. 🔥
Highly underrated. She should be getting more flowers.
Her career should’ve skyrocketed.
I always loved how unique her voice is. ❤️
I'm so excited to watch this! Ive always wondered. I was attracted to her talent: she just had something the others didnt. Thank you for this.
party & bullsh** was my SONG in the 5th grade😭🙇🏽
Hollywood need to check in with her for the Gladys Knight biopic
She could have wrote rhymes at M.I.T.
The full ride to MIT...smh
I’m hip. I’ll add that M.I.T cred to my resume.
As someone from Boston I was thinking that too.
I agree with your comment, Michael Phiveson. Now, Rah Digga is helping others (teenagers and adults) who may have that same opportunity and she can be a support since Mathematics is another strength of hers. 17oct22
Jersey in the house. She has bars for real.
Absolutely…brick city here!!!
@@Ty-wy9he why do they call it brick city?
@@missshannon9790 Because of the tall brick 🧱 project buildings that existed from the
60-early 90s.
@@Ty-wy9he oh ok! Thanks for the info
Hell yes. Jersey is in the building
I love it....she was a phenomenal femcee and didn't receive much credit.
Rah Digga also made a cameo appearance in De La Soul and Redman's Oooh video
Such a beautiful black woman who can spit the realness. She's in my top 5 for female MCs. Her tone and flow are 👌
Thank you for giving Rah her spotlight. Rah deserves so much credit she has the skill, lyrics, flow, stage presence, mic control and the looks. Much love and respect to her.
Tight and Imperial are my favorite songs from Rah Digga
Imperial was my joint
This was a great video. I didn’t realize how gorgeous she is and a phenomenal rapper.
IKR She's adorable! I always had the biggest crush on her. My homies didn't see it, I guess cuz she wasn't dressing like Foxy & Kim lol. Fools lol. She's gorgeous !
A story on Charli Baltimore would be very interesting
Biggie was hitting it but he died. UN Rivera got stabbed by JayZ. End of story. 🤷🏿♂️
I hated her rapping voice. Vita was way better imo.
@@vicp9200 sorry try again. Her story is way bigger than that lol. Any who like the original comment said "They should do a video on her" ....said what they said.
Agree
We've heard her story plenty or times
Man, I LOVED her in "Thir13en Ghosts" ✊🏿🧡! Great content as always!
Rah Digga's Dirty Harriet album was released two months before Busta Rhymes' 4th album Anarchy
Brains and talent! Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Rah Digga is one of my favorite emcees. I follow her on Spotify and have to say that I was disappointed that she didn't perform at any of the concerts at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, especially since Q-Tip was the curator for the program for a few years. That venue brought back classic hip hop. She should have been there in the mix. Hopefully, she will get to perform for their 2022/2023 season.
Oooh! Oh I remember Rah Digga! Here for this vid!
I've always loved Rah's spirit and energy! I love the intro of the music video "Pass The Courvoisier" where she and Busta are in the colorful room. She's definitely an unappreciated and forgotten artist. Her career really should've been more successful. If it wasn't for her Busta Rhymes features, I wouldn't even know who she is, oh and the Cowboys video really helped too. Now that was a treat to have her rapping with THE Lauryn Hill!!! I wanna recommend Rah's song "Party & Bullshit" to anyone who cares. That song is dope. Thanks Let's Get To The Root for honoring Rah Digga!
Why is she underrated...?? She's truly great. She seems sooooo humble & nice. It upsets me to see/hear about how underrated these ppl are who actually deserves their flowers...!! I remember Rah on "Touch It" she killed it. Her part was so crazy. I loved it..!!
This girl has mad skills. My favorites are joints she did with Busta Rhymes. On the video "Pass The Courvoisier", she displays great verbal chemistry, she's in lock step with Busta word for word, finishing words for him and so on. I found that beginning song to that video, off tha hook. Had she had the right people behind her to back her, her rap career could've went way further. Rah Digga, one of my top female rappers of all time. PERIOD!!.
Forgot about her glad she is doing good 👍🏾 👏🏾 🙌🏾 🙏🏾 😌
It makes sense that Rakim and Kool G Rap are influences because Rah was RAW.... She got caught up in the politics of it all with Busta going through his drama.. It's always harder and will always be harder for the female MC especially back then... I'm glad she's doing well.. Sn/Man that house fire ruined so much music Tip had...It was devastating... So I understand him being sidetracked..
Dope job as always 🖤
She was/is very raw indeed. Damn, I vaguely remember hearing about that fire. That could kill anybody's spirit. Hard work and creativity gone just like that...smh
I've been studying his music a lot lately.
Rah Digga is a New Jersey Institute of Technology alumni, where she studied electrical engineering. She confirmed that at the Yanadameen podcast.
She definitely deserves her flowers💐 #underrated
Love Rah Digga. Her voice and words are iconic.
One of the best female m.c's
Wow from MIT to rapping...
Rah Digga was always a fire female rapper. I have her first cd in my collection still. When I hear these new generation female rapper to me they don’t have nothing on the ones from the past. Rah had bars for days and that’s era I miss. She didn’t have to rap around her cookie or had bad she is all day long..just straight, hardcore bars that could go toe to toe with the guys. I loved her with Flip Mode..I’m just glad her and Busta are still good with each other.
First time I discovered her was trough her verse on Cha Cha Cha🔥🔥🔥
Good to hear she still doing her thang 💪🏽💯💛
I met her clubbing we hung out all night. She was kind funny engaging open and amazing. We exchanged information but went on with life. I really enjoyed that night. And remember we hugged goodbye and both wished eachother a very good life.
DIGGA DIGGA, 1st name RASHIDA!!
Fell in love with her the first time I heard her voice,... Only went to see 13 ghost, cuz she was innit!!
Same yo! She's straight magnetic in every sense. I've adored her from day one ! I remember losing my shit in the theater when she came on screen, jumping out my seat & pointing, feelin all proud of her, like it was someone I knew personally IRL. Such a dork smh 🤣.
Love that you showed her love
Underrated is an UNDERSTATEMENT 💯🔥🔥
Dang you didn’t mention she had hit single Party and BS from 2003 that was smash hit that made it rounds globally
Beauty and brains! 🖤
Rah Digga has always been a dope lyricist. Thanks for covering her.
Love her work and voice
What?! Full scholarship to MIT…you go!!! She probably should have went to college.
Never heard of her till that feature on Busta rhymes touch it remix
I remember her, she was favors Lauryn Hill/Gladys knight and she was very talented underrated good rapper.
I would of taken that MIT scholarship 😜😜
Thank youu for this video
OMG them old pics take me back! She so dang cute ! Had the biggest crush on her ! Still my fav female rapper. She deserves so much more credit. And more movie roles!
Another Queen Rapstress who really didn't get her props. I'm happy that she has continued to keep it pushin with a smile 😁.
#PARTYANDBULLSH*T
Super underrated like da brat and left eye
Rah Digga is very underrated & so talented! She has such a pretty face too, very photogenic
I like your channel. I will be supporting you. For real. I appreciate the stories you give me.
Very Underrated
Great video and all that.
Ra is a Legend.
Nice piece. Salute, Rah.
I always had a love for Rah Digga! She just seemed like a genuine person and had her own style! I always wished she was bigger than what she was. But to me she still one of the greatest to do it! And I’m most def gonna be looking for that movie Comin out.
She’s one of the hardest emcees ever
Miss her!
Another good upload, Root❗️
Uploaded on my birthday, too. I'm officially 2️⃣5️⃣ years old❗️😇
Happy birthday! 🥳
@@JuicyPopEntertainment Thx👍🏿😇
I remember her most in all the videos with Busta! Another of my faves! You know she had to truly have skills to be in the group with all of the guys!
💜💜💜 thanks 😉
I met her & busta Rymes in Detroit at a mom & pops restaurant in the early 2000’s
She may not recall, but I deejayed a show with Rah Digga in North Carolina...she was really cool...Definitely underrated...
I love the fact that you speak on artistes which are beloved but are either often forgotten or have pursued other things in life...
I often wonder what happened to singer Tené Williams and group Questionmark Asylum...
Oh wow, Tene?!! Not many bring her name up anymore. I thought only us NY peeps knew about her.
@@TheRetroWoman80 I am from New York as well, so you may be correct...lol
@@fedoramcclaren4294 😆😆🤣 secret club! Not sure how it is now but from what I can recall growing up, back in the 80s and 90s, NY did get the first dibs on releases from local artists (i.e., Miss Jones, Yvette Michelle, Aleese Simmons) whose music may or may not have made their way to other states a lot later.
@@TheRetroWoman80 wooooow...Aleese Simmons!!! Sleeping Bag Records!!!
@@TheRetroWoman80 I think of Yvette Michelle often, because her music suddenly "disappeared".
Thank-you
The beat to this intro to this show is so dope.
Thanks for always making me nostalgic, you should change you channel name to nostalgia galore 😂😂😂😂 I have always wondered what happened her, I love her rap in I know what you want.
And another one, and another one, and another one, and another one, one! ❤️❤️❤️ Love you Digga!!!
👍🏿
Thanks for the info. I grew up on Rah Digga so much raw talent! Can you do a video on Lady Saw?
Harriet Thugman Is Still On My Favourite Albums Of All Time
I just recently subscribed & I'm so glad I did. LOVED this video & can't wait to binge all your other content. Wish I had known about you sooner. THIS CHANNEL IS QUALITY! TY ♥
Thanks for subbing!
@@JuicyPopEntertainment I do.
Welcomeeeeee 😁🥰
Welcome!!
A talented emcee who could bang with the best of them.
Party & BS was the song that was giving her crossover attention, she could have really blown up with that album.
Congratulations Rah
Digga digga birth name Rasheeda I’m glad that she’s still doin music
This series you do is amazing ! I’ve been thinking about day 26, danity Kane, Dirty money and the whole era of making the band groups wondering 💭 what happened 😭just an idea 💡! Love the content fr !
They kind of told their stories through other interviews. Diddy dropped all of them after 1 album because he felt they wouldn’t be able to hit #1 a second time. It led all of them to try to be independent solo artists. Most of them ended up leaving the music game and focusing on normalcy or just being writers instead of musicians. Some of them still make music like Dawn and Willie but it never charts. Day 26 just got “back together” for the Millennium Tour early this year. But they just did that for some money I guess. They still went back to working solo afterwords. You can find them on all on IG.
@@TimeisUp22 thank youuuu
I been subscribed the Yanadameen Godcast for a minute now so when I saw this video pop up on my feed I was confused, lol
Bless Upp rah Digg#
Rah stay oiled up!🤩💗
Nice vid. She’s prettier than I thought. Love her song “Tight”.
Glad she is well. Very talented.
Had not idea that she was signed to Das at first.
That beat playing towards the end of the video is 🔥🔥🔥. I want to know what song they sampled. Shazam isn’t working because they’re talking too loud over it.
Wow she's an intelligent young lady. 👍✌
🙌🏾 🙏🏾 😌
Can you do episode on queen pen?
I loved her in 13 ghosts! I didn’t really know her music but she’s very pretty
I’ve been having a crush on Rashia for a minute. I still do. Dope M.C. though. 👊🏾❤️
Love Rah Digga, her voice, her projects, her flow, her look. Just never trust the guys, when they see u as competition ❤️✨☀️❤️☀️✨❤️
Digga is a top MC and still out there rockn shows! Plus you can get a bit of her vibe now on the Godcast with Lord Jamar & comedian Godfrey
Rag digga is that one. Shine the Light On Her, For Sure
4:00 this is exactly what I thought the title was referring to.
