Ma'am how you have calculated molecular mass of two consecutive number I don't get it please explain that??

Molecular mass for two homologues differ by 14 while if you're talking about molecular mass of ch2 then we find it by adding the mass of carbon with twice the mass of hydrogen ex carbonhas mass 12 u and hydrogen has 1 u. Therefore 12+4×1=16 units hope it helps

Mam Jab koe bhe compound ko homologus series sa reach karwaiga to huma wa kasa pata chalaga ki alkane alkene wa alkyne sa react karana ha jasa ex when we react Cl with first 2 homologus series we get CH4Cl and C2H6Cl it mean it has react with alkyane but when we react Br with first homologus series of homologus series we get Ch3Br and C2H5Br it mean it has been react with alkyen but how we will able to find that with whom we have to react either with alkane,alkene or alkyne mam please and my question and who my friend know they can also help me
