    Fun facts:
-The TikTok line is a double. He is talking abt the app but also time/clock
-the gun is called a ‘Colt m 1860 Army’. So Army =the fandom name
-the beat doesn’t change throughout the whole song but what keeps you engaged is literally Suga/AgustD/Yoongi’s voice/inflections
I recommend reacting to one or both of these explanations for Korean references (I don’t fully agree with both video as far as interpretation of the video but I watch them for the much needed Korean references/context):
    -dkdktv
    -bookish theories

Daechwita (Korean: 대취타; lit. Great Blowing and Hitting) is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while marching or as a static performance. Daechwita. Generally played when Dignitaries or the King was arriving and or coming through.

I'm not sure how much you know about Min YoonGi aka Suga/AugstD....but as you liked his MV then the following info might be of interest to you.
Suga/Agust D began writing music lyrics and working with MIDI at age 11 and held a part-time job composing and arranging music at a recording studio at age 16.
Active under the name "Gloss" (wordplay on his name YoonGi, which means "to shine") as an underground rapper in his hometown Daegu, He originally entered Big Hit Entertainment as a producer at age 17 and became the second member to join BTS..... At BTS debut in 2013 he was 20 y.o.... he is one of BTSs main producers/songwriters/composers and has over 150 song copyrights.... he also produces for other artists and has won awards for his work.... he is one of the fastest rappers in South Korea.
Suga (SHU-GA.... from Shooting Guard - the position he played in basketball) ...... AgustD = SUGA + DT (Daegu Town - his hometown) Spelt Backwards
Between his commitments as a member of BTS, Suga/Agust D took advantage of time on the plane and in hotel rooms after concerts to continuously produce, write and compose music.
In an interview for Grazia Korea, Suga/Agust D expressed a desire to release the music he wanted to do without having to consider popular appeal or music ranking. He intended to release his music for free in the form of a mixtape to avoid such considerations, commenting that an album "has a feeling of being trapped in some sort of framework" due to the need for company involvement in promotion and advertising. He has released 2 mixtapes - and last year released his first official album (of which he continues to maintain full creative control)
Developing Agust D musically on the base of hip hop, much of Agust D's inspiration for the lyrics came from his own stories of dream, youth, and reality. In order to differentiate his work from that of his work as Suga, he developed the alter ego "Agust D". He is best known for his honest hardhitting lyrics.
Bookish Theories UA-cam channel has really good explanations to BTS videos as there is a lot of cultural references and depth to this song that really will blow your mind
This is the first song in a trilogy..... He is a master storyteller.... a fellow army best explained the trilogy as -
Daechwita... ridding himself of the need to prove his worth to others
Haegeum... ridding himself of the confines of modern society
Amygdala... he investigates the inner demons and trauma that started his confinement in the first place.
Suga/AgustD wrote, composed and produced the songs, he conceptualised the MVs and had creative control (working as usual with Director Lumpens (Choi YongSeok) who does most BTS MVs)
    Fun facts -
The gun used was a Colt M 1860 ARMY
Daechwita is Traditional Joseon Korean Royal Parade/Military Music - notifying all that the king is here
Yoongi(Suga) is a member of the clan of the very last empress of Korea.
Daejanggeum Park is where the MV was filmed.... It is a giant film set that doubles as a public historical park where people can come to "experience" old times.
Hope you have a great day💜💜Sending Greetings from Australia

If you want to understand the lyrics I suggest Doolset Bangtan. They explain word play and cultural references. The color coded lyrics can be filled with errors, as they try to get their video made ASAP so they can be the first to drop it online when a song is released. BigHit/Hybe started including translated lyrics some years ago, so those who make color-coded lyric videos use those same lyrics. Auto-generated lyrics suck.
Explanation videos are helpful. I like DKDKTV's explanations best; they explain cultural references as well as the word meaning, slang, and word play.

Daechwita" is a traditional Korean military marching song, and in the context of Agust D's song, it serves multiple purposes. The term itself translates to "great sound of wind," and the song incorporates elements of traditional Korean music with modern hip-hop.
In Agust D's (Suga of BTS) song, "Daechwita" symbolizes a blend of his heritage and contemporary themes, reflecting both personal struggles and triumphs. The use of traditional instruments and elements in the music video emphasizes a connection to Korean culture while also showcasing his artistic evolution and confidence. The song's lyrics address themes of resilience, ambition, and the duality of his identity as an artist. Overall, "Daechwita" represents a powerful assertion of self and cultural pride.

Rather than a lyric video I recommend an explanation video, especially for the rap line songs. This song in particular has a lot of references to Korean history (hence the historical setting) that unless you grew up in Korea or Majored in Asian Studies (like I did) you wouldn’t be able to understand the deeper meaning he is referring to through comparing himself to several kings of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea. My favorite explanation for this song (and for most BTS songs) is Bookish Theories, although DKDK TV is also a good channel for explanation videos, just not as much for this one.

Okay, Korean language is tricky for African Americans!!!! Please don't get insulted by certain words!!!! The words for "I am" and "you are" are naega, nega and YES, they are pronounced and sound almost exactly like the "N" word!!!!!! Then add in the fast rap flow and you have a perfect scenario for a misunderstanding that is actually funny to watch!!!!
Case in point, with the word nega - it's also slang for "bro" and "bruh": so you MUST watch Suga's collaboration with Psy on That That, the MV is fantastically energetic and entertaining and I believe was THE song of 2022!!!! It a song thankful that we've come out of a worldwide pandemic and now we need to just celebrate!!!! Suga wrote, featured in it, composed, and produced the song for Psy AND Suga wrote the MV storyboard!!!!! Suga is a musical genius!!!
Enjoy your Agust D, Suga of BTS, Min Yoongi journey!!! His entire D-Day album is pure genius as he lyrically connects the D-Day tracks to his first 2 mixtapes!!!!!

Don't listen to people saying the CCs are wrong. If it's an official MV, apart the very early ones, they come with CCs, so they're usually correct, although Agust D - Agust D lyrics are not accurate. It's more likely that lyric videos are incorrect, as they're usually made by fans whose first language is not Korean. Most ARMYs would recommend doolsetbangtan, if you want the most accurate lyrics, with cultural references. Just type doolsetbangtan + the song title.
It never ceases to amaze me that reactors still can't pronounce daechwita, given the number of times it's said in the MV.
My interpretation of the tiktok line, is not dissing tiktok itself, but rather that he's saying 'you're' so engrossed in tiktok, (and other social media), that 'you're' nothing more than a mindless puppet, controlled by a stick...

The lyrics on their official music videos are correct. You can trust them.
Very few of their music videos don’t have official english subtitles, and those videos are old- usually 2015 or earlier. Autogenerated captions (usually what you find on live performances) are not correct and are nonsense.

Official MVs on the Hybe channel have accurate subs. Maybe some wordplay is difficult to translate, but they are accurate. I would suggest to have a look to Doolset on the web because they breakdown the lyrics of BTS' songs by explaining and giving context.
I would suggest to not use the channel you consulted for color coded lyrics. It's the fastest usually, therefore the high views, but is not that accurate

A daechwita is the military song played when the king enters!!!! So he's rapping Daechwita, play it loud! He's warning, I'm the true king coming for you!!!!
Did you notice the tempo of the contemporary daechwita Suga composed for his song doesn't change in the background; however, his rap flow and cadence changes throughout!

  • @BrilliantHuman

0:45 I'm not sure who told you that or what they were referring to but ALWAYS trust the official MV translations over lyric videos. Who ever told you that was wildly inaccurate. There are some lyric video creators that even just use google translate. There are some lyric video translators that are more trustworthy like Dial 6137 or Hobified, but otherwise, if it's an official MV there is absolutely no need to refer to a lyric video. 💜

Daechwita: traditional Korean march, played for kings, army movements, etc. The two characters: Suga Rei (tyrant who kills opponents and dissidents) and poor Suga.
At the fair, poor Suga shows up with six friends (BTS mention). In the tent, a woman (mentioned by the Army) gives him the key to start the revolution.
He and his 6 friends arrive at King Suga's lands without fear. One of the friends holds a drawing of Bang Si-hyuk, 'creator of BTS'.
King Suga despises him and sentences him to death. Even tied up, on his knees, he continues singing Daechwita. (Is poor Suga the real king?).
The other condemned men join the revolt, singing Daechwita. Finally, the executioner who was supposed to kill poor Suga also joins the revolt and frees him and gives him a weapon, with which he kills the tyrant king.
Metaphor: the lower class 'bringing down the system', mentions BTS who started as a small and discriminated group, from a small bankrupt company, who were despised and disdained, but who ended up becoming the biggest group in Korea (and in the world), the kings of the block!
In the time of dynasties, the poor would never be part of the elite.
Today the BTS that started small is the elite. The achievement was difficult, with a lot of ‘blood, sweat and tears’. They “overthrew” the dominant system of the Korean music industry, as they continue to do until now, overturning the arrogance and prejudice of the global music industry.
And the one who gave them the key was the Army.

CC are wrong on live video clips - the ones that are not captioned by Big Hit. Official content has accurate CC.
Non-HYBE content is either not captioned (TV show content, live concert clips) or done by computer and end up being very very wrong (lyric videos). Color coded lyric videos are to be avoided at all costs. They are the worst.
The best way to understand Korean meanings behind lyrics is to watch “______” Explained by a Korean videos. Several channels make these and the best ones are from DKDKTV. They have one for this song! 😊

since you dont know math nor common sense let me break it down for you since you clearly have a 5 year old brain.
      1 + 1 + 1+ 1 +1 + 1+1 = 7
      bts are 7 members
he did rm many videos a good chunk of his solo music not all but many.
now hes doing agust d/suga and will do as many he wants to do there
THEN he will move on to other members. you weirdos need to stop expecting reactors to hop skip and jump to react to your favorite members specific song to satisfy you alone when theres millions of armys who recommend and the reactors only have so much time in a day you want them to do 10 years or 12+ if you include predebut worth of music and non music content in months or weeks or days. you need to have patience. this is why so many drop bts and you seem like a solo anti who needs their fave to shine above the group which is weird. so entitled and gross.
how about dont come back better yet stop watching reactors in general if you cant respect people as people. bts teach us to treat them as humans but you think a reactor is a robot to bend to your every will? pathetic. and you a old bat too but brain of a toddler. sad sad.
