I was taught that whenever there's a question like #13, that is wordy, containing redundancies or cliches & misused metaphor, always go for (cliches & misused metaphors) That's more important to CSEC markers. Additionally, "MAJOR" is correct. Major is referring to a MILITARY RANK (in the army). Thats where they tricked a lot of people to think that the sentence is faulty by diction/grammatically. Answer is B (Cliches/misused metaphor).
I was wondering the same thing, i was thinking that he should of said 'sound' instead of 'sounded' and what he said should be in quotations.......but idk we are not the teacher lol
I agree, I even thought I heard her saying mayor when it is major in the sentence. Seeing major alone let me choose (C) but, @Jelani Robinson said, "we are not the teacher!", we definitely aren't. I literally pause the video to search the comment section to see if I was the only one heard her saying "effect" when it was "affect" and "mayor" when it's "major" while she reads the sentences.
It could never be (C), B or D is your answer. Because even at the end where it says "gathering all the strength he could muster" that is basically the same thing. So i would definitely go with D as the teacher said.

For #21, you keep saying "usually" and that's not the word used in the sentence. I believe the answer is B because it says "unusually"....please check and get back to me. I would hope you do so before this Tuesday because I have used csec English exam by then.
It wouldn’t be B because no matter a person’s diet they can’t be immune to “incurable” diseases for example a person with cancer ? It can’t be cured but I’m sure the person’s diet changes into a healthier one (I’m sitting the exam too we’re deff gonna pass😊)
@@originalbubbles6898 Thanks for your response🤗(Although the time has passed). I really appreciate the explanation and yes I know we did great on that exam 😌.
@@makayliamontaque6769 but you have a point, I was saying d makes sense, it's also the only one that fits in context like being health conscious has no relation to being "unusually susceptible" but it WOULD be unusual if a health conscious person was indifferent to the contagiousness of a disease, hence d
Miss thanks I just want make my mother proud
same here I don't have the exam now but I'm training for it
I am so happy to hear that.

But it also contains a cliché which is like a house on fire
