Thank you IMSA! These full race uploads are a savior for us Americans. Unfortunately as a hardcore IMSA and endurance racing fan the NBC broadcasts don't interest me. Having timing and scoring up, knowing that there are some amazing battles going on on track that we are missing during a commercial brake or for a pre recorded piece is super frustrating. I've started just waiting for you to upload the full race rather than watch the NBC broadcast. I wish there were an option for us Americans who are deeply invested and knowledgeable about endurance racing to watch the full race live and uninterrupted. I happily paid for track pass when that was an option and loved watching the commentary free action during the commercial brakes.
Well it good 👍 but the Lmans series is also as good. Not to mention the fia wec is also learning now. 👌 they now replay there live events on UA-cam now also 🤔 which is the same as imsa. Then we hav the world GT championship also the British GT, international GT all above is live on UA-cam aswel as the sports channels 😀
What another great race and coverage. I live in Europe, so these replays are very much appreciated. Can’t watch live but this is just as exciting. FYI if your watching this later #70 caught up to win the GTD class, but was later penalized for failing to meet the weight requirements. So they were put in the back of the class as a result.
Thank you IMSA..another great job done by everyone...your hosts John and Jeremy are the best in the business...Shea Adams does a great job in the pits.
If anyone is interested I vlogged the whole race from the track and went into the paddock and spoke with some teams as we looked over the cars. Video's over on my channel! Thank you IMSA & Mid-Ohio for yet another amazing race weekend. This was my fifth year in a row the event gets better every year!
Sad they won't be coming back to Mid Ohio but in their defense the track was treating that weekend like a club event and upgrades are needed at the facility
once again thx IMSA. it was clear that the Cadillac was the fastest car on track. the only way for Taylor to win this race was to run the Cadillac off the road n hope he gets away with it. have watched IMSA for many years n have seen Taylor do this many times. that been said well done to all winners. looking forward to the next race.
Australia's Mt Panorama, Bathurst track has the start line 160m past the finish line. I'm assuming to have the majority of the field starting on the pit straight
I feel the call between Ricky Taylor & Renge Van Der Zander was right due to Taylor's left tires being kicking up dust between 4 & 5 & them banging side pods between there & turn 6
with 7 minutes to go, announcer upset over Montoya pass, but by the end of the lap, Montoya was 7 seconds ahead...how long can you hold a faster car back?
Even if Montoya was quicker, he's still expected to make the pass cleanly. In Jeremy's view, he didn't, which is why he criticized that move. He wasn't upset that Montoya made a pass for the lead (because as you rightly point out, it was bound to happen eventually), but rather the manner in which is was done.
@@A.F.Whitepigeon drivers rarely lash out for the sport of it.....sometimes I feel officials swing the hammer a little too hard and if racing stuff happens but didn't get recorded, then race stuff happens in return....nascar has gone the other direction so it seems...lol
Is there a rule against taking old tires and stacking new ones between them to heat them that way for some sort of temp? Seen this done in the mount Panama race this year and was wondering why other's dont do this idea if they dont have tire warmers to get temperature.
Also, the commentators often say that "There are no tire-warmers in IMSA. You can leave them out in the sun, but that's about it." Which raises the question: How for could teams take sun-warming if they wanted to. Build a little greenhouse, with a two-way mirror on the outside that lets radiation in but not out. Make the bottom of it reflective. Put it on a big piece of tarmac, and try to make the bottom a thermal conductor and the top a thermal insulator. Put some machinery inside that slowly spins the old tires against the new ones, like a rotisserie dynamometer. Voila, warm tires without tire warmers.
Way too many in car camera shots. As a fan of IMSA, I want to see what the spectators are watching. Staring at the side of a drivers helmet is not entertaining it is boring.
1:44:07 While I agree with the call the stewards made, I feel Jeremy's explanation isn't right. Van der Zande did spin precisely because Taylor pushed him so wide that he had almost the entire car on the kerb, and as the kerb is not wide he inevitably caught grass as well. It was not as if Taylor pushed van der Zande off and then van der Zande separately spun on his own, not at all. Technically Taylor left space for the left side wheels of van der Zande which is why the stewards got it right.
@@imsaofficial Well yeah but it didn't really take a multitude of camera angles to see what was going on. I mean, I only had this video and I didn't rewind so I saw the same stuff that they saw in the booth. But thanks for the upload again anyway.
IMSA NOOOO!! Why did you change the best graphics in the business? Removing the car manufacturer has made the lists far worse in my opinion. Since at least 2019 IMSA has had a really good system with icons, names, times etc. Far ahead of WEC, BTCC, F1, whatever you care to name. Now I fear someone's re-inventing a really messed up wheel. :/
I think most of us would agree that the time interval is more important than the manufacturer. In the past, there was too much time without the interval but with the manufacturer.
@@mikejones8866 I agree the intervals were too sparse, especially at Daytona during the night hours, but manufacturer is simply another form of ID. Skipping it makes identifying cars harder. Prioritising intervals or not isn't influenced by that. I reckon there's plenty space available for both. =)
It appeared to me the mfr. data was on the "crawl" most, if not all, of the time (instead of the usual last lap time, which is some pretty useless info, IMO). That seems like a better place for it: the logo graphic is so tiny in the "box" that some are unreadable.
The no call on Ricky Taylor is wrong. His move on the outside was out of desperation in which put him in the grass. He clearly drove the 01 off the track. And the announcers of course back the decision with a completely brown nose explanation. Course that's what their paid to do. At the end of the day it's still dirty driving. But hey NASCAR owns IMSA it's only a matter of time before they ruin it as well.
To be fair, the commentators disagree with Race Control quite frequently. If you have questions regarding the no call, feel free to email info@imsa.com and we can put you in touch with the appropriate. Thanks!
@@imsaofficial they hardly ever disagree with the stewards go be fair. I've heard both of them disagree with the same move in other racing series. IMSA isn't the only game in town. IMSA never disappoints. This is by far the best type of racing.

I watch Peacock... put it on mute and put on IMSA radio FTW!!

Gracias IMSA.
Abrazos.
Montoya was incredible 🏁
So good to watch nice and beautiful videos like this thanks for sharing..,.,.,.,,.
Yaaayyyyy! IMSA is the best!
Burn rubber on me IMSA 💪🔥🔥🔥
It was a good no call. Taylor and Van Der Zande were shoving each other. Good hard nosed racing.
I've been watching Montoya do this sort of thing for a long time now. His way of getting ahead in a race is to punt someone off of the track.
The leader board only shows the drivers without the car brands now, it is a step back for attracting new audiences.
I doubt that.
Can’t wait to see you guys at CTMP Canada day weekend it’s gonna be a great weekend! 🤙

What an unbelievable unneccassary aggresivity #81 goes on. Even of a penalty, still causing collision. Desreves a bann of race!

Why no GTD pro entries?
GTD PRO only runs 10 of the 12 races on the calendar.
Anyone know why they stopped uploading IMSA Radio to Spotify?
IMSA Radio is essentially the talent from RSL. You can contact them here: www.radiolemans.co/contact-us/

The parking lots are relatively empty. How do they pay the bills????????

What is this strange silver hook, that can be seen at the front of the cars at onboard shots?
I think it monitors the air flow & pressure or something like that around the car🤔
I believe it's a Pitot Tube. its' used to measure airspeed.
No Nissan GT-R’s :(
Apparently NISSAN has no current interest in IMSA racing....
Id rather have Bentley come back.
nissan has ended their GT3 program, if there are still som GTR GT3 out there somewhere in the world is because some race temas still own them.
