@@omm7763 my lathe got clutch, no jog function. So did you mean to mount toggle switch to engage together with foot break? I can't find any wideo how to wire this combination and its very confusing for somebody who just start research wiring vfd. Sorry bout noob questions
@@sebastianochenkowski2665 if you have a clutch, usually that is mechanical with the motor still spinning. If you have a foot break, usually there is an electronic sensor to disengage the motor power and then apply mechanical braking. Maybe shoot a little youtube video and post a link with your next response. I will need a good visual of all wiring. Where in the world are you located?
@@omm7763 I'm in uk. And my lathe is colchester triumph 2000. I didn't get vfd yet cos I thought the only way to go in my case is rph. But I have seen video yeaterday made by "Worldtraveler - 2 speed lathe on a vfd" and trying work out how to do it. I can send you manual with all wiring diagrams and I can order vfd right now just need to find out with one is good for 7.5hp motor 240 input.
Good explanation. This will prove very helpful to many guys. Thumbs up Matt!
It's really pretty dry, but I hope helpful to someone.
Thanks Jason!
What to do if you have engine lathe with break?
Wire the normally closed electrical toggle switch that is attached to the brake pedal in series with the three wire control.

@@sebastianochenkowski2665 I was the one who assisted him in the wiring schematic. Somewhere in the video he thanks me.
