I have 4, soon to be 5 of these conveyors, installing the first one in the fall of 2017. In the real world you will NEVER have that much slack in the chain! Well, unless it's broken somewhere else. Typically you have to take all the slack out with your come-a-long that you possibly can and then you have JUST enough slack to get one full link out, and that's only if you wait until the carriage is up against the frame. You can't do it "early". I love the design of the take-up end, you just need to move the anchor point for the tension shocks back an inch or two. I actually cut the side on the upright that the carriage hits to give it 2 more inches of travel on that side, then reinforced it on the other side. That 2 inches makes a world of difference if you let the carriage travel into that space before you remove the link, but could still use some more travel towards the air shocks. I also wish they would make this conveyor in a shallow pit design as they had with the RG440. One other issue here is the fork return spring won't stay on, you need to bend the anchor points for it more, or add a retainer to the end of those hooks. One other thing, I wish you had an option for all surfaces the rollers travel on were 1/2", not just the top surface.

In this vid you say xr458 chain. Is that a mis-speak of x458 or is there a difference with xR458?
