I am from a staunch catholic background. I was given the gift of tongues in the catholic church as a catholic charismatic renewal member. I have had loads of questions about the church that still remain unanswered. I always pray for answers and i get them but never got any answers when i asked God about the catholic church. The only thing God told me was " Do not criticise that which brought you to Christ" .

I was a Catholic and after I had given my life, I was told to join the charismatic but my spirit refused to stay where idols where, if you are not bothered by the idols present then there is a question by what you are calling the Holy Spirit

But rather in this context never bite the fingers that fed you. You said former abi? Meaning you never asked nor seek questioning. The church is still the only apostolic church. Hope you will finally make it to heaven after discovering a true living church. However, churches and their doctrines can't take anyone to heaven. Not everyone in Pentecostal church is really born-again, and likewise, in Catholic Church, there are many true and genuine born-again Pentecostal churchbelievers.

Abstanace (including fasting) is a part of Catholic Priestly development, so there no way he can say he doesn't know about fasting. The priest just needs vocational freedom and matrimonial freedom.
We have Catholics (Lay and Religious) that have phenomenal encounters and experience with GOD. However, only GOD sees the hearts of Man let HIM have Mercy on us All.

As a Catholic I have to say that I am grateful to God that this gentleman had the encounter he did and left the priesthood. You see, some people have taken the Catholic Church as an idol; exalted the church above the knowledge of the true God, and that is harmful to even the church cause the people emulating them will be corrupted in the same manner hence deviating from God’s kingdom and bringing SO MUCH disunity in the body of Christ. In every Christian life there is always a period of isolation from GOD, to enable you quest for HIM with more zeal if you love HIM. Even our LORD Jesus was abandoned (HE said Father why have YOU forsaken ME). It's actually an opportunity for spiritual growth in GOD, and not a celebration of excuses blameable on your community. 17 years of religious life in a Religious community without an essence, shows he lack genuine intention of his religious call.
GOD have Mercy on Us all.
If the Catholic Church celebrate it's GOD'S spiritual accomplishment the earth will marvel. But like Christ all their accomplishments Glory are offered to GOD and not to Man.
When you realise that there is a difference between the body of Christ and the church or denomination, you will be blessed with truth.

God revealed to him that denomination doesnt matter....and man told him to leave one Church for another as a pre-requisite for answering God's call or his salvation..... who did he hear? and who did he meet for intepretation? He is searching for God but never discerned his steps earlier. Not everyone is meant to be a priest. If he was meant to be a priest, he would have found God in the priesthood and be a phenomenal priest, he only missed his step by becoming a priest. How can an ordained priest leave the priesthood to become a protestant pastor? It doesn't match up. Maybe God has seen that if the guy did not leave the priesthood he would never truly find God and that might be detrimental to his salvation. So summarily put, he was never meant to be a priest. And this is exactly the problem created by Bishops and bad formators in Catholic seminaries sinice Vatican II who became so comfortable in teaching academic theology instead of practical theology (life in the spirit) they end up ordaining priests who only knows the Bible and the Church academically but no experience with the Holy Spirit who is supposed to be the pilot of the life of a priest, and when they come in contact with people who have experience with the Holy Spirit they begin to maybe think they're not on the right path being in the Catholic Church. It unfortunate, i blame the Bishops, and their formators they have all become so relaxed. And maybe that's why the lord is raising protestants to do the job of the priests these days. In conclusion if you're Catholic, you can have the kife in the Spirit experience, all you meed to do is pray, fast, stay away from sin, and hunger everyday for the encounter.

It is not about mis- step or a blame by Catholic formators. We all have to discern our calling. God can redirect our steps at any moment.
The problem in our Christian circle is that some people just wake up and assumed they're being called, others are forced by family & friends to become priest.
Many are called but few are chosen. We have to ask ourselves " are we the few chosen?"
Sadly this problem is not only among catholic, its in every denomination.
Thank God he found his right path.
Where it doesn't add up for me, is where he said Catholics hated on him for leaving. As a Catholic, that is one thing that's really hard to believe. He's not the first catholic priest to leave the catholic faith. Many other people have left the Catholic faith claiming to have found God somewhere else, but one thing I know is that Catholics no send you, whether you leave. There's no time to start hating on Pentecostals. Catholics don't do that. rather we've been the once being constantly criticized.

Yes, GOD keeps HIS children there so you can be interceding for the salvation of the others and be preaching the true GOSPEL to them. Please just don't bow to the statues or participate in any rituals that involve them no matter how innocent it appears.

@@kachimokolie115 it's a primary evidence like nobody can ever say they are filled with the Holy Ghost if they can't speak in tongues and the evidence is from the Bible when the disciples were gathered in the upper room, Bible says they were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave them utternace (Acts 2:4). This however doesn't mean that every Christian speaking in tongues is filled with the Holy Ghost because for one the gifts of God are without repentance meaning that if God gives you tongues He'll not take it away when you sin. What sin does it grieves the Holy Spirit and finally quenches Him. He leaves and Christians now become empty, they can speak in tongues but they don't have power, they sin more than anyone, they hate, they discriminate, fornicate or do things against the Bible. So a truly Holy Spirit filled Christian speaks in tongues, has the fruits of the Holy Ghost and is fruitful (bears good fruit) because the Bible says,you shall know them by their fruits

I think Pastor Ebere was once a pastor at the Dunamis Headquarters. I don't know if he’s still in Dunamis shaaa because it's been a while I saw him during the services. Really inspired by His journeys in God. May the Lord keep upholding him in Jesus name. Amen.

As Catholic's his testimony should not bring a mixed feelings to you. But God wants to work through a man he has destined for a reason. As humans our families, friends and loved ones maybe our physical obstacles in such a scenario, but they are not the purpose of God's calling. Not all priest and meant to be called a Reveren in the Catholic faith, but being a brother in the likes of Charismatic renewal in the church. I bet you, at the beginning of him joining the seminary might not come with true digging and other influence. No doubt for the love of the Catholic Church he endured through becoming a priest. But God remains Almighty to prove to him their must be an encounter to seek him first. Many Catholic priest are like him now without the true call of a Reveren Father. I liked the part where he said that everyone are the same in God irrespective. At this juncture everyone needs to find God individually in their heart. Just as St. Paul tells the people of Corinthians that we live by faith not by our works. Fasting is a necessity to purge away our human body of all kinds of stuff, and become lighter for God to come into our heart to dwell. Am a Catholic and a proud faith I have through the intercession of our Mother Mary interceding for all of us. All Bible inspirational books are good as long we all find God.

The devotion of a true, celibate Catholic priest is the highest devotion because a Catholic priest gives up everything for service to GOD. Matthew 19:29, "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first."
The Ex-priest went through a temptation and a spiritual crisis, which he interpreted to mean GOD wanted him to leave the Catholic denomination. Why didn't he transition to a charismatic priest? Charismatic priests are no different from pentecostal pastors except for their oath of celibacy taken before GOD. Only GOD first and the Church can release you from being a Catholic priest. Otherwise, if you leave on your own, you'd have left in rebellion.

Jesus Christ prayed during the last supper that His Church may be one. Who did you hear? If only you know the annointing a Catholic priest carries......you wont describe your days as a priest as a position you thought was a position of grace.
