I used to consider expensive skins as the sign of a greedy company, a company I might not want to support further, but I'm older and wiser now and know better. Granted that still might be the case for some, but more often that not it's a fantastic way to offer something exclusive to the players that are able to offer greater financial support to the game and support it's longevity and sustainability, without further widening the power gap between the F2P players and light spenders and the so-called heavy-spending whales. And let's be clear, this isn't just a lazy re-skin, this absolutely is a premium item that had thought and effort put into it. So I've got no problem with it and am thankful for those that will be able to further support the game by buying this fantastic-looking skin.

The important part is that it is monetization that does not widen the power gab and that is something you should actually be thankful for. In addition them having another source of revenue may actually lead to a better experience, even for the F2P players, as theoretically depending on how much money the financiers want returned, it could mean a greater development budget and lead to further quality improvements. Being jealous or feeling betrayed is the wrong take-away here. I feel the same way by the way, I could never justify the expense personally, but that doesn't make it inherently a bad thing, it just means its not for me.

I think with this it's pretty clear now what the full monetization model is meant to be for WuWa. When you look at it pre-skins, there is almost no way they could ever make as much as a Hoyo game due to the differences in the way they handled the gacha. While there are obvious similarities, WuWa is a LOT more F2P friendly. In general, it is far easier and cheaper to get the characters / weapons you want, even as a F2P if you focus on ones you like. In exchange though, they're probably introducing these high quality skins pretty often moving forward (some of which like Jinhsi that come with a full bundle) and they will probably make way more than Hoyo ever did on skins. You can take or leave the price. People's willingness to pay varies significantly. If you are F2P or light spend, yeah it's pretty high and I think it's debatable if it's worth it when you compare it to other gacha games / skins and things that aren't gacha-related (like the price of another game). It does look nice though and it's clear they're putting a lot of effort into these. Even the free Sanhua skin looks pretty damn good.
There is a lot to like about the gacha. Pity on character banners is 80 instead of 90, standard 5* weapons having their own banner / being targetable / actually good (like Emerald of Genesis), new 4* can be bought in the shop once, and then the things you mentioned. There are some downsides, like I think it's been shown that 4* does not have the soft pity and resets on getting a 5*, but otherwise the game is much more friendly to F2P / light spenders. I think it will take some time, but people will have to get used to the way Kuro has decided to do things. Generally less spent on the actual gacha and more spent on skins.
I see many comments on yt and the subreddit throwing the number 40 to 50 for the skin. Why is there so many people focused on the undiscounted price/worst case scenario when realisticly the majority of people are going to buy the skin with the discount? (Regardless of with/without top up). Since it is the first skin, a lot of people will be first time top-uppers, which will be 21. Then most of the other spenders will be at the 37 mark. Moreover at the 37 price tag, if you are okay with spending 38, a dollar extra, you can replace the 5 dollar top up with a monthly pass. With this you are 40 lunites over, and you get 90 astrites over 30 days which 2,700 astrites. So with 38 you get the jinshi skin set and 2,740 pull currency (40 is the excess lunites; total dollar value of around 36 ). So in a span of 30 days, the ending value of your purchase will be around 2 dollars. Albeit the 36 dollar value is only for astrites. Do i think 37 is a reasonable price? Not wholeheartedly. I think 35 is the ceilng for it and main price at around 30 is great. But the point is, i see a lot of people that are making it seem like a big problem than it actually is, and it spreads fast.
That's assuming people only use the top up bonus for the skin for a character they might not have at the moment and use it for another that's available but cope.
I don't think the weapon projection exclusivity, cause they have been doing this since PGR, every single character have their own set of exclusive weapon skins And this goes another length when most of the roster has an exclusive weapon type, even if a character shares an older already existing type, they still have alll exclusive weapon skins. Saying everyone should use her paid weapon projection is almost the same as saying others should wear her outfit.
Don't think pgr comparison works here. Cuz wuwa the weapon types stay true to their appearance of the weapontype. Where in pgr (correct me if I'm wrong , didn't play enough ) the signature weapons could appear as a completely different weapon type ( like a claymore that looks like a scythe etc ?) And even then i would argue i want that crazy weapon to be available to other characters as well tho ^^
I love the skin. But I feel it could be less expensive. I would've loved it more if the dragon nuke Ultimate was transformed to the blossom explosion of the trailer. Just consider SHE dealing the damage instead of having to channel Jué's power for that. While still having her better Skill Nuke with Jué. In any case, I will have some time to think about getting those Lunites or not.
If you had the Lunite Subscription from day 1 then you are one subscription short of just having enough Lunite to get the outfit, assuming that you haven't been spending it.

Jinshi's skin bundle pack looks lit, Kuro did put a lot of work into it, not to mention the Sanhua skin (re design, re model, re rig, re texture, re animate, re test collisions and conflicts etc is more work than most people know), but it's just not my cup of tea. But in Genshin it only changes their appearance, and Diluc skin only has that subtle effects that you can barely notice. That deserve to be cheap and this is not. I would suggest it to be a bit more cheaper but this skin is definitely deserve to be expensive. Plus it's just a skin, no one force you to buy
