Tigers are just so fascinating. German engineering is something else. It takes about 4-5 Sherman tanks to take down a Tiger tank. The Tiger crew usually runs out of ammo before getting killed
No. 7 shermans i have a book how to defeat different tanks for example the tiger or t34 and it takes 7 shermans to kill 1 tiger or panther
@@Ryanaiguy1234 It would honestly depend. These books and sources use real encounters. It could even take one Sherman to kill a tiger if that sherman has a big gun and a good commander
@@thechefwhodoesntcook8233 I seem to recall a Greyhound scout vehicle killing a Tiger because it got directly behind the Tiger at point blank with its 37mm. Having infantry to cover matters.
The Tiger II H is one the best looking tanks ever made imo, so menacing and strikes fear in any who find themselves on the receiving end of its barrel. Great video!

@@andthenhedead6076 it definetely is now very overrated, but back then you wouldnt want to meet one on the battlefeild, German Steel is one of the finest metals to exist, its thinner metal was very impact resistant, and the Tiger 2s sloped armor made it very hard to kill from the front, most shermans wouldnt have been able to kill it head on. theres a reason you hear storys of crewman of shermans fearing that a panther or tiger is near them
@@deathwingaojun7651 late war Germanys steel quality was worse then most other major powers thanks to allied bombing of steel plants and Britains navy closing off Germany’s shipping lanes for other metals and components for steel production and most tiger 2s broke down or ran outta gas before ever seeing combat

Yes they did some of em 2 miles maybe 3 they broke down due to being too mechanically complex making the tanks just not being able to get the to battlefield intime plus the tiger sucked anyways, the panther also had the problem of it too theres so many tanks that broke down its hard to even count them

it actually wasn’t very advanced it had thinner armor then the Churchill and the tiger was just complicated mechanically making it impossible to repair the tiger in the field
