I use the feeders on the floor of the cage, so they need to come down to eat and they use all the cage space... also, I like to put the foraging toys on the floor as well; in the nature, birds usually spend time on the floor trying to get some seeds or anything else...
I wanted to add that we used a smaller sleeping cage for our cockatiel when we got her because the cats kept spooking her at night with their playing. It helped her adjust to the cats and not risk her getting injuries at night! That being said we now keep our birds in a completely separate room where the cats aren't allowed so no more concerns with that 😊
Aahh thank you so much for reviewing Echo’s cage! Congrats again on the 500 (already 600 subs). And so glad to hear your dog is doing oke ❤️❤️ The toy on the tree stand is indeed a shopping cart 😂😂 it came in our monthly subscription toy box, it looks funny, but Echo doesn’t like it at all, so I removed it haha. We will definitely not go smaller with the cage, Echo loves his big cage and since he’s in for 8 hours straight 3 days a week when we are at work, we feel that he needs his space. Of course he is outside when we are home. But we are also not going any bigger with the cage since it’s huge 😂😂 it doesn’t really come across on the photo’s but it’s almost 1.3 meters in width and 1.70 in height. But for next time we will definitely choose a cage that has the same length on both sides. This cage looks cute with the different heights and the playing stand outside on the top right, but Echo doesn’t really use it. So it would have been more convenient to have a “normal” shaped cage after all…
That's awsome! I'm glad to hear that its bigger than the pictures, I know it can be a pain to take good ones, but thanks for the many pictures anyway, it gave me a good idea that you have loats of toys and space for him, and looking at the instagram he seemes extremely spoiled ;) What a cutie, and thank you so much for the cage submision Michelle!
@@kromsnavelfun Zeker!
Thank you so much! The shirt is from a store called ONLY, it is danish, but I read that they do have stores worldwide ;) Regarding your other comment, then I'm always happy to read when people think about mixing species, especially predetor and prey, and how cool that they have their very own birdroom
@@stellaandcharlie Ooh cool! I live close to Malmö so I might check it out when I go to Copenhagen next time 😊. Yes, mixing animals in that way is definitely interesting haha. The cats work surprisingly well with our cockatiel (though they are never alone together ofc) but not with our budgie, I think because she is so small their hunting instincts set in but since our cockatiel is bigger they feel a bit intimidated 😅. You always have to be vigilant which can be hard sometimes! In the future I definitely won't mix cats/birds again just for my peace of mind.
Hi Olivia! If you go to the comments of my most recent video (updated Pionus guide) there is a link to a website with some good examples shown in the video itself :) You can always just skip to the cage part in the video. Good luck finding your Pionus, I hope he/she is what you are looking for :D

So fun! I think you were being very fair and clear, well done with the criticism. Also your shirt is super cute, where did you get it?
