@mollysangelique You are very lucky to have all the books and films! I only have Angelique and the Sultan, I cant find where I live, and they dont print the books anymore(in English). My favourite story is the first Angelique, and after Angelique in Love, when Joffrey pretends to be the pirate Rescantor. Do you have a favourite story? :)

This film is ''dated''...It has attitudes to women, which wouldnt be so ''aceptable'' to todays audiences.I like the Film because of Robert Hossein, but the books are really brilliant to read...It would be very interesting if a film was made now of Angelique!! Saying that, I think really, deep down, what women like is the romance and caring of ''Joffrey'', hes very womans dream husband.

I read it at the age of 16, too. Et maitenant... and now - three days ago I got 40 - I read it again. At the moment book N° 3 (of 11 or 12)
