    Man... That's wonderful. We can clearly hear Hisaishi's gimmicks here and there, but with your own soul inside. Thank you for that !

    Oh my gosh this is so beautiful. Im surprised this doesn't have more views. Like this is a masterpiece

      Sadly that’s not how it works. No matter how beautiful something is, it might not get any views. People click on the video to try and learn or out of interest. They don’t know something will be beautiful if they haven’t already watched the video

    You could tell me this was a real Joe Hisaishi piece and I'd believe you.

    Hello Alex,
    this is so wonderful! I really struggle with chord progession.I wished i would have that orchestration ability. I need to more practice to reach that skill! This is such amazing. I always try to learn more and i want to ask, is there any good trick for chord progression like Joe Hisaishi? I know that he use a lot of seventh chords.

    I composed a piece its called "Two friends - One Journey". Its one of my favorite piece i compose in style of Joe Hisaishi and i love this kind of music. I used the chord G Minor D-Minor, Eb-Major, GbDim 😇

      Thanks! I recommend studying as many Hisaishi themes as possible! You'll start to notice patterns in his progressions and harmonies. I made a bunch of videos on his music btw!

      @@AlexHeppelmann I dont know if you now the music of Ni No Kuni, but try to analyze the music of him and notice, that the chord progression are very simple. A lot of seventh chords. Thats why i am able to make my own hisashi-like chord progression 🤗

      You can compose using any DAW as long as you know the ins ans outs and also have all the needed plugins/VSTs

    One question Master,....a string quartet! Is it better to compose it first on the piano....or directly combine it and treat it from the beginning,...with the strings? ....thanks since now

    • @AlexHeppelmann
      @AlexHeppelmann  Рік тому +1

      There's never a 'better' way to do things, it's entirely dependent on what works best for you. But each time I've written a string quartet, I've sketched ideas out on piano, but then composed directly in a string quartet score.
