These changes are REALLY funny. Especially the bubble gun getting nerfed to post-skeletron and aqua scepter getting buffed to post-duke.
I LOVE the snow ball cannon, so it’s cool to be able to use it in hard mode.
Aqua scepter *carried* my first gfb run
honestly makes me want an even remix-ier seed, where EVERYTHING is remixed
itd take a lot of time to make, sure, but itd be really neat to see the progression swapped in the game even more, fighting hard mode bosses early and fighting phm bosses late

Very informative! I gotta say, while I like the spirit of this idea (swapping/rebalancing weapons for this seed), it feels a little half baked in practice. If you are a Summoner for example, nothing changes. And if you are any class besides Mage, very little changes. I would have liked to see more time spent expanding on this idea, but I won't really complain given that this was a free update to one of the greatest games of all time.
Imagine if you could get a really weak terraprisma from killing slimes & a really strong slime staff from killing Daytime EoL.

To be honest I really like this weapon swap/remix mechanic. It gives more vibe of being a Remix seed. I hope Re-Logic would expand this mechanic for the entire progress of the seed.
I really really like this mechanic/idea so far, using an early bubble gun doing low damage is super interesting to me, same as high dmg aqua scepter, very very interesting I wonder what the devs and modders will come up with next with this idea !

Great video, but, useful tip... when listing large amounts of data, it helps to show a visual prompt of some text showing the numebrs or something. Just makes it easier to take it in. Keep 'em coming! :D

The Snowball cannon seed buff sent me when I first saw it.
I was semi-bewildered that an Ice mimic dropped it when I first saw it. Unfortunately, I was aware of the changes between the Aqua Sceptre and Bubble gun so I know that something changed.
Rapid fire Snowballs is not what I expected but it was welcome anyway.

I saw some of the weapon swaps in some videos but I didn't realize there were this many, I think the funniest it's the bubble gun with the aqua scepter.
I'm curious if you know or tested this, if you bring one of these changed weapons into the remix world from another world with an existing character, does it automatically change the weapon's stats to the new one? Also, will the changes revert if you bring one of these weapons from the remix seed into a normal seed?
Its based entirely off of the world seed, it will change automatically, they aren’t separate items.
@@Waasephi so wait- if you went on the remix seed, got an ice bow, and went to a normal world, you'd have a hm weapon legitimately?

@@curryhurrys Granted, if I'm correct, they heavily nerfed that weapon in the remix seed to match its stage in progression, so I just don't think it'd be worth the effort

its so fun seeing all these pre-hardmode weapons being buffed up to hardmode
This is kinda sick, revitalizing a bunch of less useful lategame weapons by injecting them into pre-hardmode. Keybrand and Bubblegun especially are now really interesting; Keybrand as a pretty powerful sword with its unique bonus damage mechanic and Bubblegun as a good single target spell from the dungeon

Finally someone shows the buff to the snowball cannon i’m very glad i had one in a chest already before the update so now the everything seed will be a piece of cake
(Note i have died 1000’s of times still but it did make it a lot easier and is my main weapon still
I got the katana in this seed in my melee playthrough, it was BUSTED with my build, beetle scale mail set, fire gauntlet, mechanical glove, I think a celestial shell, and I think a destroyer emblem, with all accessories a melee speed reforge. Either way, it basically was like a longer range, higher damage psycho knife, with around 300 base damage iirc, if anyone wants the actual build I can check it again to make sure

I really like this seed so this was helpful. Probobally gonna play mage, since that Unholy Trident and Aqua Scepter are both INSANE now.
the fact that flower of fire (dropped by red devils) has similar DPS to unholy trident (found in shadow chests) in this seed is kinda crazy

with the katana buff you can successfully cosplay vergil from dmc in the endgame

I think you should have had little stat comparisons on screen for each change, would have been very useful
Makes me want a randomize seed where everything is jumbled up and given random values.
Can you carry over these items into other worlds? (Example, normal key brand in a normal world if obtained from traveling merchant in Don’t Dig Up)
I wish more was changed but I'm happy with what's available
Majority of these "Switcheroos" are very fun. Seeing the pre hardmode weapons turn into Powerful things never gets old.
Also Magic Dagger is quite strong or even stronger than normal Wand of Sparking given its very spammable and does still alot of damage though given you start with 20 mana you wont throw it too often until you collect 45 fallen stars which are easier to get as they also can be found in Slimes which often pop out of the pots.
But definitely the Wand Of Sparking here is quite menace and fun one shall I add.
Keybrand is also fun weapon as pre hardmode if you get it and get 10 gold so its expensive weapon and not very accesible as its traveling Merchant.
Also Unholy Trident is arguably definitely stronger than even Remixed Fire Flower given the Unholy Trident is more accesible as it costs less to cast doesnt lose much damage.
While only thing the Fire flower does is having increased damage
Last prism should’ve been nerfed to be eye of Cthulhu, and the wand of sparking should’ve replaced it lol

Remixed Bosses, King Slime becomes the new Moon Lord that can regurgitate Moon Rocks like Queen Slime charge powerful Ray from its crown jewel summon additional "True Lunar Slime". The crown must be defeated first before you can manage to defeat Lunar Slime first.
Also Wall of Flesh becomes first boss in progression acting similar except dialed down heavily to be first boss, while Eye of Cthulhu becomes the Pre Hardmode final boss defeating it initiates Hardmode, the Eye of Cthulhu is heavily buffed to have additional dangerous attacks on par with OG Wall of Flesh in difficulty.

At the stage of the game which i got the katana in, it was doing 300 damage and was extremely fast, i was doing like 4k dps with the katana but its short range made it hard to use.
Clearly, you haven't studied the blade enough
Now we have true snow machine gun...
So this is why I got the magic dagger before fighting the eye of Cthulhu
OK unless my friend went out of his way to do it I don't think snowball cannon is limited to hard mode because I think I wouldve seen him drop it on the mimic

The star cannon also got a nerf where the stars just bounce from bosses... Or its a glitch and im just bad at the game
Honestly these are just better. A lot of these originally hardmode items arent used when you unlock them in hard mode. And they’re far better in place of the prehardmode items. Except maybe the bow and the sknowball cannon. The magic dagger is far better than the wand of sparking. Same with the bubble gun and the unholy trident. Also, how does this effect world hopping? You get a magic dagger in this new seed and go into a normal seed and have a hard mode item.
well, before the remix seed u could just go to an item server and get the magic dagger on a new character, or just use terrasavr, so i dont think things have changed that much in this regard.
Agreed, most of these changes work surprisingly well. The magic dagger/wand of sparking swap works well with the other main feature of the remix seed, starting in the Underworld, so you don't get the magic dagger that early in the game, but wouldn't really work on another world if this feature was to be made default, as the wand of sparking is supposed to be bad, since it's often the first magic weapon one can find, but the other changes could honestly work if they were part of the default Terraria experience too.

Not a minute in and im already confused af...
I’ve been playing through the remix seed and I found the chain knife to be really underwhelming for the effort it takes to get it. The bananarang outperforms it in every aspect by A LOT and is dropped from the same enemy. I don’t see any reason to use the Katana either.
They needed to give the chain knife better piercing, range, and damage.
The katana would need a special effect to be worthwhile, like a projectile or damage stacking effect.
