I believe season 6 was best for delena they really came a long way with so many obstacles wen she earased memories her attachment codependency also went away wen damon back with elena he was patience with her, no control issues,no fight, no drama, no toxicity some serious talk on future family planning also i like wen elena getting ready for hospital practice damon gave her bread bite and handed her id over neck.. tvd brought delena has most imperfect couple to perfect couple with so many bumbs on the road

But they did toxic things for each other because they loved each other so much. That’s why I liked them. Their love was unmatched, fun and a bit dangerous but with stefan and elena it was always boring.
Damon was a psycho at times and this relationship could be toxic but he also had his amazing moments and Ian really played the hell out of this role :) Some other things that stuck out to me rewatching this were that however cool Bonny is, she could be a little scary at times! And I miss how cool and interesting Katherine was :)
