백지영이 화제의 드라마 tvN ‘미스터 션샤인’으로 2년 만에 OST에 참여했다.
tvN 토일드라마 ‘미스터 션샤인’ 측은 드라마의 열 한번째 OST인 백지영의 ‘See You Again (Feat. 리처드 용재 오닐)’이
오는 2일 오후 6시, 국내 음원 사이트를 통해 공개된다고 전했다.
애절하고 감성적인 보이스로 많은 드라마들을 빛내며 OST 여왕으로 불린 백지영의 이번 ‘미스터 션샤인’ 참여는
시청자들이 먼저 눈치를 챘다.
지난 12회 방송 초반에 고애신(김태리)과 유진초이(이병헌)가 비오는 날 다리에서 마주치는 장면에서
백지영의 ‘See You Again’이 흘러나오자 음원에 대한 문의가 쇄도했고 일부 시청자들은 백지영의 미발표 음원임을 추측하기도 했다.
‘See your eyes, See you face’로 시작되는 이 곡은 첫 멜로디부터 곡 전체의 감성이 묻어나는 곡이다.
백지영 특유의 허스키하면서도 공허하고 쓸쓸한 보이스와 리처드 용재 오닐의 비올라 세션이 더해져, 곡이 가진 슬픈 감정을 더욱 도드라지게 한다.
특히 외롭고 공허 함 속에서 살아온 한 사람을 사랑하고 보듬어주고 싶은 마음과 서로를 위해 곁에 있어 주고 싶은 바람을 절절히 담은 이미나 작가의 가사는 극 중 인물들의 아련한 심정을 대변해주며 시청자들의 가슴을 적시고 있다.

청소년인 저와 저의 친구들도 해외 거주중이지만 다시한번 한국인임을 알려주는 드라마입니다. 거의 매해 함께 둘러앉아 그 나라 친구들과 한국인 친구들이 함께 둘러앉아 감명받고있는 명작입니다 ㅠㅠ
요즘 애들 대부분은 일베와 친일에 얼룩져서 아마 시청하더라도 공감능력이 많이 떨어질겁니다. 이번에 20-30대 젊은이들이 친일정권 뽑은것만 봐도 알수가 있죠

진짜 솔직히 이병헌 때문에 안봤는데 드라마 보고 나서는 왜 이병헌이 최유진인지 알겠고 작가님의 모든 선택이 옳아다는걸 알게됨.. 연출, 각본, 연기, 음악, 진짜 가장 완벽하지만 재탕은 못할 너무 슬픈 드라마ㅠㅠㅠ

이걸 왜 이제 봤는지 후회될만큼 나에게 최고의 인생드라마가 되었지만 다시 볼수는 없을 명작.. 그동안 정말 많은 흔하디 흔한 드라마를 다봐왔지만 우리나라 역사를 다시 한번 되돌아볼 수 있게 해준 그 어느 드라마보다 의미 있는 작품입니다. 잊지 못할거예요 제 1순위 드라마예요!

This drama was released in 2018 but i discovered it only in 2019. The emotions this drama made me feel was too much for me that I created a twitter account to express how much I hate and love it at the same time. I was a year late so i was sad that nobody was talking about this, thankfully the account i created connected me to others who loved it too. If you give me a list of all the dramas released from 2018-2024, i can confidently say ive watched 70% of them all, especially since it was all that i did during pandemic and on my unemployed days. Even when balancing studying and work, i am able to finish 5-10 dramas in a month.
And with all those dramas, Mr. Sunshine remains to be my top favorite kdrama. Sometimes, i even wonder if it deserves to be called a drama only because all 24 episodes was like 24 movies about one story. The cinematography, visual storytelling, ost, storyline, acting, script- everything was so elegant and top notch. Masterpiece is an understatement.
It was so heartbreaking that i could not forget about it. It was so beautiful that even if it was too painful to watch again, i am now on my 6th rewatch. The thing is, i thought i would get bored since i already know the whole story but guess what? It just gets better AND i keep on discovering new things that i did not notice before. It was also packed with visual storytelling and symbolisms, so the more i watch, the more i came to love it. I havent come across a drama that is so delicately done like this, its just too good to be called a drama.

I don't like to write. I've been retired from the US Army after deployments in Iraq. As a retired Army officer, I don't like dramas. My daughters got me Netflix. Thank God I found 'Mr. Sunshine, mainly because Cpt Choi is a Marine officer and war history is my forte. I've seen the show annually and think in my mind what I've would've done in his position. The director and writer are excellent. The song 'See you Again', Baek Ji Young sang was addictive. I haven't found a better drama.
Maybe, you would watch D*P, parts 1, and 2, SQUID GAME, and if you like horror and zombies watch movie #ALIVE, with YOO AH IN, one of the greatest actors not only in South Korea but in the entire world

This drama is no joke. Even after many months, the heartbreaking feeling is still lingering in my mind and my heart. Eugene Choi and Ae Shin's love story truly give such a huge impact to my emotion. This is by far the best drama that I've watched in my life. I'm still listening to the OSTs on daily basis. You just cannot move on from Mr Sunshine..

Its very painful to watch the ending. I literally cried when Eugene was crying with happiness by seeing the photo of him and his wife and when he was talking to Kyle for last time. His love for his wife is truly Amazing. Its just very painful 😔😭

Those were strong words. It hits too much. It didn't just show Korean History. By the way they kept mentioning my country and even showed the Spanish vs American War, I was already drawn in it.
I think I can never move on from this drama.
I’ve watched a lot of dramas or movies but this one gave me the impact that is probably the biggest in the entire list. And I felt like this is not a drama, but a 30 hours movie.

It was an amazing drama tht really did feel like a movie each epiesode. I dnt think any drama will ever match up to MrSunshine. Really wished there was a season 2 or something with Eugene still being alive with GoAeSin
The women who died (Eugene’s mum, the inn keeper, Hina) all had one shoe that fell off, but Ae Shin is the only one whose dropped shoe was lovingly put back on by her man, and I know her life would be preserved by the one who put her shoe back on her foot.
Oh shit. I didn't think about that even after watching the entire series twice. The beauty of master pieces like these. So much depth to every scene. We might never get another one like that for many years to come.

I am sure that Ae-sin loves Eugene deeply as she has declared that she gave her heart to Eugene. However, as a noble woman and a skilled sniper in the time of turmoil, she is first a fighter before Lady Ae-sin. Eugene encouraged her to be a fighter first. Eugene will eventually come to the realization, and understanding why she has been acting that way. Her love for him is bright burning even though quiet and cold, and his love for her is passionate. Whatever the ending is, their love will continue. This is the best drama I have ever seen, beautiful cenemagrophy,music, excellent actors and actresses!!!

@@andreagregoriodesateles1111 this was set in the pre-colonial period of Joseon (late 1800s to early 1900s. The Japanese colonial era ended in 1945), so a sad ending was expected. I guess the way most significant characters died in the end illuminates the pain every Korean & freedom fighter at the time went through when the war broke out. So no one except Ae Shin survived. We have seen how hard these characters had fought for Joseon’s independence, and we were given enough time to get attached to these beautiful characters. So it’s painful to see them die in the end. It feels like we’ve lost our loved ones in war. I think the writer wanted us to feel the decades-long hard-fought time that brave Koreans endured to achieve independence. So each character’s death was meaningful and heroic because it inspires the next generation of fighters to pick up their predecessors’ legacy and keep fighting. Also there are repeated scenes from early episodes where the main character keeps saying “gun, glory, sad ending” which are the first words Go Ae Shin learned in English school.

This is one of the best series I have ever watched in my life. It is so intense, beautiful, sad, and I will never forget it. The actors and actresses are spectacular and beautiful, not to mention the music is breathtaking and so heart felt.
Too bad there are no series like this anywhere in North America. Just series that go on and on well past their expiry date.... and next to no budget on music.

It's really amazing. The cinematography, ost, casting, storyline..All of it. Especially loved how they made the fl strongest character of them all, yet always showing her delicate side too. It really doesn't have to be only one of the two.

One scene that really got into me is when eugene offers the ring and marriage certificate to ae shin in the bakery. He wrote LOVE on the flour left on the table, using the ring as the O. As he dragged the ring it spelled out LIVE from LOVE. It was very symbolic because they got married to protect ae shin as they go to japan. Love for eugene is to keep ae shin alive brb im cryin 😭😭
I really feel pain for them when I see they can't be together but instead they took picture together and wore same ring😭 the love for country and love for one girl 😭

This drama left huge impact to me. I still can't move on.
Just told someone today that she had to watch Mr. Sunshine as it is the greatest K drama of all time, the one against which all other dramas are measured. Fantastic acting, brilliant cinematography, great writing, heart breakingly beautiful music, the storey tears your heart out and yet you can not stop watching. A stunning achievement and a tragic masterpiece. So many moments of beauty, and so much heart break. What an achievement.
Here i am commenting at 2021 after watched all other overrated and hyped dramas, still Mr.Sunhine is the best of all. I couldnt bring my self watch other drama, and I couldnt move on for months after I watch this drama. The acting is briliant, the cinematography is took my breath away, the script is beautifully written, the bromance, the smart joke, and the plot twist still amazed me. Not everyone will find this drama awesome, no lovey dovey modern love, but damn I can feel the true love coming from this drama ❤️❤️❤️
frrr. this drama brought out so many emotions in me that i didn’t know i even had. it was all truly so bittersweet and left such a huge impact on me. i just know i won’t be able to find a drama better than this one :’)

I agree, ths was my first Kdrama and I still listen to the music and the emotion that it evokes is so deep. The love between the 2 emanates true love and their passion.

i just finished this kdrama this afternoon. I keep sighing everytime i remember bits of episodes here. This is by far the best kdrama for me. Now that im listening to all of its ost, i feel lonely.

I am out of words for this writer, Kim Eun Sook. How does she come up with these amazing stories and ideas? I cried my heart out watching it. This drama emotionally ruined me. Every episode was a masterpiece. I wish this many characters, who we became attached to didn't have to die. But then, war brings death.
This has become my 2nd most favorite drama of all time across all industries. Goblin will always be number one:)
