Nelson Kaiton Jason told the producer "make the bass almost inaudible" the producer said "that would sound like shit but whatever. Your the bass player."
@@maksphoto78 Apparently they recorded after a while of touring and couldn't hear highs at all so in order for it to sound right to them they had to crank them way up, leaving no room for the bass at all because it would be too much for the record to handle.
Nelson Kaiton I thought it was cuz the rest of the band was still upset about the loss of cliff so they took it out on Jason by COMPLETELY taking any and all bass out of the mix (for the entire album) at least that’s what I’ve heard
This is the best mix of this song I’ve heard. The bass is at just the right volume, when other mixes usually turn it up too high. Can’t listen to this song any other way now.
Thank you my friend! A few years ago, they released a game Guitar Hero: Metallica, where they used actual studio tracks. Clever people managed to isolate those tracks and upload them to UA-cam. (you can find them if you search for stuff like "Master of Puppets bass only") So I just recorded the bass track off UA-cam and mixed it into the album track.
This is probably the best level of the bass put into the mix... all others ive heard are either too low or too high
Why didn't they release "Justice" album like this? Seriously, the proper level of bass makes it so much better.

Nope, Jason never told them that. It was Lars who decided to be difficult.

Adam Linden and bc lars wanted better drum sound but Kirk was against turning down the bass
So beautiful make me want to cry. This fucking rocks .
Thank you buddy!
Great job! Your mixes are the only ones where the bass isn't too loud but you can FINALLY hear it. :)
That only dislike is Lars and its 2021

Thanks you ^_^
That is one EPIC song, glad you all like my mix ^_^
It's great to be able to hear it for once
Best mix on UA-cam!
The one dislike is Lars
Wow great job! How did u accomplish this exactly? I am thoroughly impressed and this mix sounds fantastic!

@@maksphoto78 well regardless you did a great job in combining them. Sounds great!
maksphoto78 can you try to sync up the Cliff bass of the Prince demo (off giant Puppets box set) with the actual released studio cover ?
This is how And Justice For All should have sound. Most accurate remix seem so far.
Too loud but obviously better than the og one 😊
That right hand of Papa Het is truly a machine gun!
Riff masrer!
To be.honwest bass on ajfa whole album is not that good, except.for shortest straw harvester and blackened, it adds punch but rest is meh
I hear stuff that I'm GLAD was buried in the mix now. Hmm
Like what?
Too basic bitch, at least he grew within them . .
Drums are still TOO loud. My ears are bleeding. :\
I guess I could have a go doing this with the remastered album.
That's the best thing about this album tho...
it's quite literally the most drum sounding snare ive ever heard in a song on this particular song
