One of the best videos on Syntakt and I search for them almost daily. Would definitely pay for such content. Not getting into sound design but rather into arrangement and thought process is something that I am definitely missing. Clearly you have a talent for this, keep it up!

Yooo thank you!!! I'm so glad you found it useful. I have another Syntakt project I'm planning so there is definitely more to come :)

      I third this!!!
This was a very informative video and not boring at all.
Honest opinion: I would have skipped the “stage advice” part and some other stories, and I would just focus on the music construction, the ideas behind those, the passages, etc, like you perfectly did. Would also maybe try to reduce video length to 25-30 minutes, and I would love to see the whole set with no talk uploaded too (on a different video).
      Cheers for this awesome video.
      Moar please 👏

Ah that the sound sounds different is soooo true! I once forgot my monitor headphones and I was completely messing up the lows during a performance. Now - when I perform live - I basically just listen to my monitor headphones and have faith in the guy behind the mixer that it sounds good in the room as well ;-)
Great vid btw! Really like the Axel F tribute 😀

Iam currently building set on Syntakt, Digi and Mono Station
On Syntakt I use layered digital and analog synth lets say 1 and 2, tweak them to sound good together and better, set modulation on PB, MW etc.(you can like set how much do you want to modulate so you can overturn something) and set midi channels on same one
With midi loopback you can control modulation on 2 tracks at once and it sounds amazing

inspirational and insightful, groovy sounds! I have the habit of starting so many different ideas with no cohesive glue but i’m ready to grind a bit, assembling what I have and creating new patterns. I’ll have you to thank when I have a set put together! liked and subscribed. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

At some point I should do a set that actually utilises multiple patterns. My sets at the moment tend to be improvisation, so I work out one pattern with various elements I can bring in, and the use it as a starting point to mutate from, with a couple of other synths for additional elements. My attempts at using multiple patterns tend to fail at how much I like to mutate things, I change everything from the sound design to the grooves, by the time I switch where I am is not cohesive with where my original patterns where.

That's super cool! I love improvised sets like that. Keep it up and I bet there is a middle ground where you can find the flow!

I need to do that and I need to get a can of compressed air to blow everything off before I film! I swear it looks decent in person and then video makes it look grody
