With a few decades of fabrication in my past. I can see your line of thinking on the chassis and the time you've put in to this point. I believe it's going to be more than strong enough for your purpose.
Looking on, I'm also no structural engineer, but have plenty of years overseeing engineering product construction. I think you're on very safe ground.keep on the track mate.😊
Hey mate, spotted you on Facebook today. This project is fascinating and so are the Lego models. Very impressive stuff. I'm no structural engineer but I have no doubt that that chassis will stand up to any loads it sees. Solid as! I'll be watching along keep it up 👍🏻
Front axle is DAF152n, diff is heavy Hino tippet truck, ive done a bit of everything mate but this is certainly my biggest project, but I love quality engineering, mostly self taught, some aircraft maintenance engineering , equivalent to a trade, and messed up a lot of stuff too, thanks very much
Great fabrication, mate! What's your opinion about boxing your channel rails? I was taught years ago that open sections are not that strong in torsion. Do you feel it will be necessary?
Thanks mate, if you note the extra plates edge coming in off the lower 4 link plates..front and rear brackets, I'm planning a huge centre cross brace of some sort, depending on how the trans sits, I also have to add a rear crossmember for it yet, so I think it won't be needed, thanks again for your input though , cheers
Looking forward to this build. Hoping to see regular updates 🤞 keep up the good work.
The lego models too! Holy hell man. You're a phenomenal engineer. The knowledge you have accumulated would be freakin immense.
Keep it up dude!
@@dogwithbees thankyou very much.. I love it, cheers

Cheers for the encouragement, much appreciated.
Great to see an over view of the chassis.
Im loving the Structure Cross members. They look well thought out.
Cheers, it took a fair bit of thought to get the layout right.
Hi friend, I saw your video on Facebook and I really liked your project! Greetings from Argentina

Thanks heaps, I appreciate the support!
This is cool.. would be interested to hear more about your fabrication history and where you sourced the front and rear axle
