Lucked out one time and got an offer to upgrade to first class on a short hop for $25 so I took it. The flight was delayed about four hours for technical issues so I missed my connection and there wasn't another until the next day. Instead of being bussed with everyone else to the local Motel 6 I was provided a private limo, taken to a five star hotel, informed the mini bar was comped and had an amazing breakfast the next morning. I even got to do first class check in even though the remaining leg was economy. Best $25 I ever spent.
The one time I flew with Lufthansa, I sat at the very last row, next to the lavatories. Needless to say, I politely-jokingly added if I could get upgraded to first class. The flight attended chuckled, and told me they could if I paid up 6,000 for the difference between seats. We both “laughed” and I just sat down to eat my complimentary crunchy pretzels after.
I love the last row, it reminds me of sitting in the back of the bus. I remember going from Chicago to Vegas when I was 14 and I had to be in the back by myslef away from my mum, we were taking off in a massive thunderstorm and the old guy in the middle(I had window) told me that if we crashed, us in the back would survive 😂
It's not free if you have to pay by giving up your seat on the flight you actually wanted to be on, you just paid for it with inconvenience and your time 😅
i’ve been upgraded for switching to another flight, it was literally the very next flight just a hour or so later. if you’re flexible it is worth asking
You forgot that the passengers should be polite. The easiest way to get better treatment is to be polite and courteous to the person helping you and to every staff member down the line. This also includes not haveing any expectations of perks or upgrades and being understanding of issues outside the agent's control. People don't realize that the person at check-in can communicate with the agent at the gate, who in turn can communicate with the flight crew, and they can communicate with the agents at the next airport. So, for example, if the check-in agent notes that you are qualified for an upgrade because you were polite, but you show up at the gate acting like a jerk, the gate agent can pull your upgrade and you would never know. A few simple notes on your reservation from any of the agents or crew can either get you upgrades and better treatment or can make sure you never get special treatment or perks. This also means bad or rude behavior can and will be attached to your reservation notes and follow you through your trip. Is it guaranteed? Nope, but from personal experience on both side of the desk, it does dramatically increase your chances.
I love the last row. If it's just me and my husband travelling, there's usually just two seats in that row, more space next to the fusilage, close to washroom, served meals/drinks first, (hopefully) more likely to survive a catastrophic event, and we deplane last so we just chill until everyone else is off then we're not bumping into people getting our carry on.
I have never been upgraded to first class. I do usually get free drinks. My trick? Just be nice to the flight attendants. Say hello joke with them before take off. Last time I flew I got 3 free jack and cokes. It was great and I am sure the flight attendant also had a great flight.
The airline I work for actually reserves the last row for our FAs and they only get taken if it's a completely full flight. I've always thought that was nice because I can't imagine the jumpseat is very comfortable!
On the wait and balance it really depends on the plane because at frontier we're always having to move people pass through six closer to the middle so we're moving towards the back of the plane not the other way around. But it depends what you're working on I did Airbus but I know Boeing is different they take off different land differently and their weight and balance is different as well
The back of the plane is the safest place to be in case of an accident. I'm too old and decrepit to go in the back of the plane or chose to be next to an emergency exit which has plenty of leg room.. I also used to feel special because you had to be a fit person to assist opening the door in case of emergency.
Flying into layover into DC and had the scariest turbulence of all time. Nose dive, masks, I was younger and dumber and didn’t wear my seatbelt on planes, quickly learned through my skull hurting and my ass being on the guy next to me why you do wear one. Regardless, the flight attendants that didn’t reschedule their next leg were nice enough to upgrade me to first class and 3 others that were in the last row. Almost made up for my near death experience.
If you raise your hand are you committed to leaving the plane? When do you ask about cash compensation? What would a reasonable cash amount be? The planes I’ve been on got volunteers by people raising hands I’m not very savvy about these thingsMy sister once volunteered in exchange for a flight at a future date but when she tried to schedule it she kept hitting blackout dates The customer rep on the phone told her never volunteer in exchange for a free ticket at a later date.
I always select an aisle seat in the very last row. I've never had that happen to me or saw it happen to anyone else. Not saying it isn't true, just that's not why I sit there. Close to the head, and I can easily get up.
Or put your hand in your jacket pocket and pointing your finger lift your hand up to them and demand first class seat this tactic is looked down upon but will get you pretty much anything
I've only ever once been on a flight that wasn't full or overbooked and they had to move the first couple rows back (all the paid seats essentially) was sad we lost out on perks (free alcohol but it was a red-eye) tho we did get extra snacks and did 2 rounds of drinks tho they didn't give us drinks 1 of the times 🤷 but we did get our own row. They said we would get our money back but idk if we actually did since we did one of those payment plans
I had to fly a lot thr past couple months on 3 different airlines. On every flight except the fully booked ones the attendants were sitting in the back rowa
Tf is up with all of the sexist jokes in these comments. Stg think I saw three actual useful comments and the rest were “why’d she use so many buttons,” “glad she remembered to use all the buttons, otherwise no one would hear what she’s saying,” or “instead a getting upgraded to first class how about I upgrade you to my first class.” Like wtf is wrong with people and all the casual misogyny?
If you read your comments------ You remind me so much of Nicolette Larson. If you don't know who she is look her up and watch her sing Lotta Love. So beautiful in looks and talent.
Hey i know Philipine Airlines is safe and has ONE crash landing with the Bombardier Q400 gear collapses but nah sometimes im too scared because i watch plane crashes 🛬💥 a lot but imagine the foods in there

I don’t see how front plane seats or back plane seats are good, if the plane crashes, your first to die, if another aircraft collides with the plane that your in from the rear, you’ll also die. Now I’m not hoping this is true nor am I trying to manifest it but that’s just my take

So did you pay for first class?
laughs in budget airline with no first class.
And if all else fails the guy in the last row usually survives
People in the jump seats too
Question…how the hell do you sell more tickets than you have seats?
I love the last row, it reminds me of sitting in the back of the bus.

one time i was flying alone at 12 back home from my dads , and the flight attendants said they have a surprise for me and put me up in first class
Girly I don’t have the courage to ask for a whole free upgrade 😭
Imagine if hotels sell more room than they have and they ask their guests to sleep outside and check in tomorrow instead
I upgraded to first class for the dear cost of four home-made oatmeal rasin cookies. True story!
I have never been upgraded to first class. I do usually get free drinks. My trick? Just be nice to the flight attendants. Say hello joke with them before take off. Last time I flew I got 3 free jack and cokes. It was great and I am sure the flight attendant also had a great flight.

I would also add be nice to the flight attendants.
bro said ''Gay Agents''
Flying this next week. I’d love to get upgraded seeing as it’s my daughters first time flying, but I doubt we will.
if you don't get moved from that last row it doesn't recline.

Lol yea. Of course this works! Have fun next to the bathroom
In the Canadian airlines I’ve flown for the last rows are actually contractually owed to the flight attendants if seats are available.
If you raise your hand are you committed to leaving the plane? When do you ask about cash compensation? What would a reasonable cash amount be? I was put on involuntary standby on Christmas day. It was the first leg of Germany to New Zealand, a 36 hour journey. It fucking sucked.
I always select an aisle seat in the very last row. I've never had that happen to me or saw it happen to anyone else. Not saying it isn't true, just that's not why I sit there. Close to the head, and I can easily get up.
Yup got $1000 and first class on a flight that I was only 6 hours late for
Felt weird showing up to first class unshaven and in ratty shorts😂
Or put your hand in your jacket pocket and pointing your finger lift your hand up to them and demand first class seat this tactic is looked down upon but will get you pretty much anything
If by "anything" you mean a tazer shoved up your ass by airport security, then yes.
Omg guys her eyes tho 🫠🔥💯
I love sitting in back row I will be very sad to move and honestly today first class is really that worth it.
I love AA!💗
She works for Delta, they're just going to cancel the flight and everyone has to rebook wherever they feel like putting you.
I always try to get the last row. Close to the loo and can always tell when it’s free.
I beg to sit in the back so the anxiety of the trauma of having people surrounding me makes me feel more safe😢
My social anxiety could never TvT
Any tips on how to stop people Infront of you reclining their seat into your space?
For the overbook there’s a federal law that shows how much the airline must pay if they overbook.
great tips!! 🎉 what's a reasonable amount to ask for in cash when rebooking a full flight??
Off topic question: how is overbooking even legal? I mean how can anyone sell more of something that they have and get away with it?
Great information thank you for letting us know this
Idk y u keep getting ur vids but damn ur vids make me wanna go on holiday sooo much
My face the whole video: 😲😲
How much should I ask for??
I had that last one happen to me without asking.
I’m always on the look out for the nervous gate agent look, telltale sign of the overbooked flight.
Weight and balance💀. POV casho never flying ever 💀
Getting upgraded on most flights tends to suck. I always grab exit row with Delta and every time they upgrade me I’m in a seat with half the legroom.
Dont understand how tf these flights get overbooked like shouldnt there be a thing in the system thats like hey we dont have seats don't sell them lol
Im going to DTW this summer..
Can I take a Wawa card instead of cash? That is where the cash will go anyway
No, they don’t do gift cards
Thanks for the tips.
Ima try that
Thank you for sharing.
I had to fly a lot thr past couple months on 3 different airlines. On every flight except the fully booked ones the attendants were sitting in the back rowa
I wanna be on your flight❤ lol
No idea what she said....all I heard was "flight" "weight" "jump seat" "full flight" "gate agent"
Good 👍 advice ❤❤

Cool
I work for an airline so I just get first class whenever it’s open too
The very last back seats don’t even have windows when I flew around South America
Thx
But I hate having to rush to get up when we land, it’s too much pressure
Thx ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
I've got it multiple times just because i'm 6'6"
Awesome tips 😊
Can you be my flight attendant please.
This domestic or International first class Keep in Mind a DL skyteam Elite member can get First Class milage on Korean Air or Virgin Atlantic
Thank you ❤❤
I'm a tall guy, so sitting in the back is a little hard.
Hell no I ain't moving up front, the back of the plane is the most survivable in case of a crash!
If you read your comments------ You remind me so much of Nicolette Larson. If you don't know who she is look her up and watch her sing Lotta Love. So beautiful in looks and talent.
Good advice!❤
Or just have good airline status
I got to first class twice because it was overbooked!
Meanwhile I been paying for comfort+ whole time 😑
I have been on 4 delta flights
The smaller planes like CRJ's have WB issues not bigger ones
why overbooking?
Hey i know Philipine Airlines is safe and has ONE crash landing with the Bombardier Q400 gear collapses but nah sometimes im too scared because i watch plane crashes 🛬💥 a lot but imagine the foods in there
Could You Give Me Some Edvice About being an Uncompanry miner?
I’d still rather sit in the back of the plane than get first class. I’m the chance of a crash, the best place to be is the back of the plane. It has the highest chance of survival.
can you and me join the mile high club
What's the procedure to get you as our flight attendant?
Accumulate frequent flyer miles.
So one of the very first times I flew my first flight was delayed and when we got to the gate for my connecting flight even tho it was still docked they couldn't let us on becsuse the gate was closed. So they had to rebook us on the next flight out and it was like a 3-5 hour wait and wasn't even compinsated even tho it wasn't even our fault we miss the connection flight
This girl has gorgeous eyes

Interesting! I have never heard anything like this.
How can passengers join the mile high club?
can unaccompanied minors upgrade free?
Green-Eyed Lady lovely lady.
First Class in Short flight isnt that great anyways, on long flights it would be cool ^^
She is right. I have tried both before this video and it works.
"1st class 🤣"
I love going from back to front
Girl ! The content is fantastic but don’t risk getting fired lol you know what these corporate c**ts are like
