The invasion of Israel by five Arab armies on its first day of creation in 1948 stemmed from various factors, including historical, political, and territorial disputes surrounding the establishment of the State of Israel. One significant factor was the long-standing conflict between Jewish and Arab communities in Palestine. The partition plan proposed by the United Nations in 1947, which aimed to divide Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states, was rejected by Arab leaders who viewed the establishment of a Jewish state on what they considered to be Arab land as illegitimate.Additionally, the Arab states feared that the creation of Israel would destabilize the region and threaten their own interests. They were concerned about the influx of Jewish immigrants and the potential displacement of Palestinian Arabs from their homes.Furthermore, Arab leaders were emboldened by their belief that they could swiftly defeat the newly formed Israeli military forces. They underestimated Israel's military capabilities and overestimated their own strength, leading them to launch a coordinated invasion in an attempt to prevent the establishment of the Jewish state.Ultimately, the invasion resulted in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, which lasted for over a year and ended with armistice agreements rather than a decisive victory for either side. The conflict laid the groundwork for decades of ongoing tensions and disputes in the region.

It did NOT begin on October 7. It began in 1948 with the atrocities that the State of Israel committed and has committed ever since. And we should never forget that.
One could maintain that it started when Emperor Hadrian put down the last Jewish revolt and changed the name of the province from Judea to Syria-Palestina.
October 7th happened because Palestinian has a right to defend themselves from illegal settlers, who have siege the whole Palestine, made it open prison, controlling every border, water, every move of civilians, when this land belongs to Palestine since 2000 years.
The "Palestinians" are a mid-1960's creation of the Russian KGB. "...the false Arab narrative that the Holy Land had a reasonably large population of Arabs prior to the first Zionist settlement (1882). In fact, many Western visitors to that region prior to 1882 describe a land that was desolate and deserted with practically no vegetation and very few inhabitants outside of the towns that were small and shabby. Most of the privately-held land was in the hands of a few extremely wealthy Arab owners that lived outside of that territory in cities like Cairo, Beirut and Damascus. They offered to the Jews the worst of those lands to buy at exorbitant prices. But the Jews ended up buying 90,000 acres and turned them into productive farmlands. This was something totally outside of the Arab mindset. (To date the Israelis have planted 250,000,000 trees.) Once the Arabs from neighboring countries saw the prosperity the Jews were created they began mass migrating into that region." "between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese there are no differences. We are all part of one people, the Arab nation [...] Just for political reasons we carefully underwrite our Palestinian identity. Because it is of national interest for the Arabs to advocate the existence of Palestinians to balance Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons", Zuheir Mohsen, "Palestinian" leader, March 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw The Philistines bear NO ethnic relation whatsoever to the so-called "Palestinians", who are not really Palestinians, because "Palestinian" is neither an ethnicity nor a nationality. The Israeli Air Force is very well funded and operated, they will never run out of resources, but Infantry and Armored brigades might even be called to fight without basic necessities like food or medical supplies. A lot of the basics are covered by civilians and donations and it's expected because the IDF isn't organized for long wars. I love sky news, I support mentally challenged news outlets. This guy is an expert but only in military memorabilia
I think the Israeli government withdrew the troops in order to rest and then re-attack. They said they’d withdraw and open up to more aid. They’ve done the first temporarily until they think we’ve moved on, the second item hasn’t changed at all.

To hit the Golan Heigths from Irak has a kind of merit, being Syria in the middle.

There is no such place as Palestine. It doesn’t exist on any map
DNA of Palestinians goes back 5,000 years to the same land. All Jewish Askenazi DNA goes back to Europe only.
So pretty much the same as Muslims are doing to the uk.
This comment is really funny
2000 years ago the region was mostly Jewish; while attacking unarmed civilians is never legal even if in the name of resistance.
I just assumed the pullout is to clear out of the way of the widespread bombing campaign prior to invasion.
Quite so. But not widespread, it’s targeted. It’s not the IDF’s fault Hamas builds kindergartens on top of command posts and armories.

There are Arabs in Israel living alongside Jews, Christians, Muslims, Bedouins, Druze, All are different Arabs. Who are the Palestinians!?
(To date the Israelis have planted 250,000,000 trees.) Once the Arabs from neighboring countries saw the prosperity the Jews were created they began mass migrating into that region."
"between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese there are no differences. We are all part of one people, the Arab nation [...] Just for political reasons we carefully underwrite our Palestinian identity. Because it is of national interest for the Arabs to advocate the existence of Palestinians to balance Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons", Zuheir Mohsen, "Palestinian" leader, March 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw
The Philistines bear NO ethnic relation whatsoever to the so-called "Palestinians", who are not really Palestinians, because "Palestinian" is neither an ethnicity nor a nationality. It's all a made up Taqiyyah lie by the Arabs and their sponsors at the Russian Communist KGB.

It's important to allow rest to be flexible to respond to multiple fronts when there is no clear and present danger in the active theater.
Remember when Egypt created Gaza? A failed Egyptian invasion and Israel didn't want the Gaza back and Egypt closed its border. Happened.
The remaining hostages are a concern.

No they don't. Our government has continuously betrayed us to appease their Western Masters.
Excellent analysis by Clarke, as usual.
It's very easy let me explain.. They pulled out of Southern Gaza for preparation of an assault on Rafa.
This does two things,
It allows them to regroup and plan brigades for the new assault.
And it spreads word to the gazan population that there is a safe area to move to before assault starts on Rafa
They know a lot of Hamas members will move to KU during the The assault on Rafa but they have to take care of the strongholds in Rafa and underground assets.
How about saying: they just lost the war. Simple

Michael Clark is finest analyst in foreign affairs
finally an apolitical, well made, intelligent take
It has nothing to do with strategy, many of the brigades had very long rotations and they are low on supplies.
The Israeli Air Force is very well funded and operated, they will never run out of resources, but Infantry and Armored brigades might even be called to fight without basic necessities like food or medical supplies. A lot of the basics are covered by civilians and donations and it's expected because the IDF isn't organized for long wars.
It's not Russia levels of negligence, but Israeli troops get the short end of the stick in the IDF.
He mentioned Oct 7 but not the murder of 35k people
They moved the troops because they knew they were going to start attacking Iran next.

IDF has achieved much more than i believe is reasonable..
They brought so many hostages back.destroyed 29/24 brigade and only Rafah remains.that too when they were entrenched well and had been planning for years with tunnels..
So to achieve this for any army is truely commendable.
I believe no other army could achieve so much in so less time with so less loss..
