just found ya channel.. liked , subbed, and commented.. very interesting class to say the least. have had a lot of fun playing starfinder as our group has just started playing it here and there.. the spaceship combat is different..keep up the good work.. ill have to start watching your old videos. peace
Great breakdown. Is it possible to do a video on the new mechanic alternate class feature from the galactic magic book? It’s a little confusing what it actually gives the player.
@@TheMapleTable absolutely is. The experimental apparatus is an even more confusing aspect than the other experimental mechanic types. Your perspective on the build intent would be greatly appreciated.
Im feeling a SRO with two weapon fighting with small arms and this class would a super fun combo to RP, gotta add some more arms for casting though but you could play ot off as being a super computer that predicts the future.
Not sure if you will read this but I think it'd be cool if you made a video or two explaining the mechanics for creating custom monsters especially ones that can summon things. Been reading the alien archive book. but it's not really making sense. Your videos always help me be a better gm have a nice day.
I haven't done a ton on the mechanical aspects of the game but its a good idea. I'll add it to the list and see what I can come up with. I read all my comments even if i don't respond to all of them
Considering a fragmented past Terminator (SRO). Something went wrong with the time travel and they ended up in the far future of a completely different planet, well after the time of John Connor.
@@TheMapleTable I am joining a group that is doing "Attack of the Swarm" They are 3rd level, currently have: Soldier, Envoy, Operative, Mystic So fairly broad group. Think may do an interesting caster or really anything not sure.
Precog is awesome from what I’m seeing so far (some pretty amazing spells unique to them too!) however my favorite part of this book? Alternate cantrip rules making them worth using past 1st lvl :D
IDk if you will read this but can you help me On the precog chronomancer what does "Focal Paradox: Caster level checks and one class skill (chosen at 1st level)." mean? Do I gain advantage on this? Do my abilities trigger on this?
no, there are a couple of focal paradoxes ... the flavor of precog you are and how your abilities work. you select one at first level. and then you will also gain a class skill. usually associated with your focal paradox.

The Precog seems a little overpowered to me. I also prefer a more low magic (but high tech) setting so like the Witchwarper it will probably be a class that I don't allow.
thats an interesting perspective, I agree its more fitting for a high magic world but you could argue that its more psychic than mystic. Mechanically I feel the Precog is actually one of the weaker spell casters.
Sorry to Necro this comment. It doesn't necessarily need to be magic. Look up the Necron Chronomancer from Warhammer 40k. Despite having the -mancer in the name, Necrons don't actually utilize magic, but instead are so advanced that their technology looks like magic to the lesser races. I'm taking inspiration from them and saying my SRO scholar has something called a "Tachyon Engine" installed and uses the "Time Warped" anchor.
Precog with a sniper rifle: I don't shoot where you are, I shoot where you are going to be.
The precog sounds so interesting! If I ever get around to playing Starfinder, it will be my class of choice.
Im very excited to build a character with this one
Just picked up my PDF yesterday, so I'm going to save your review until after I do a quick read of it myself ^_^
I really enjoyed reading this class, sounds like a lot of fun
Sounds like a great class to play if I can find the time! 🥁
Well If you play a time. Mage you have all. The time in the world lol
Coming it hot for my Starfinder injection. Love the new lighting setup!
Lol it's actually not just cool looking, it also hides the clutter in my in-laws basement
Are there more starfinder channels?
I haven't really noticed other channels with the coverage other that Know Direction and Paizo itself
There is another channel called 20 sided knight but they have not been super active lately with videos
GREAT breakdown on the pre-cogs!
Thank you!

Welcome to the table, dont judge me to hard on my older videos lol
Great review, as always! I appreciate the work you put into making these!
Thanks so much!
Precog sounds like the first starfinder caster i might be interested in playing
Casting classes are fairly simple compared to some other systems I have found. But I am really interested in this class
This somes really damn cool! I feel bad for past Nathaniel, getting shouted at isn't nice 😂
Im used to yelling at myself

Ill have to look into it, the mechanic is a pretty complex class already.

I ran a game where the precog PC was also the bbeg like inFamous 1 Kessler
I will now think that you always have a clone just out of frame to interrupt you if you almost spoil something
Future me may or may not make appearances to come

Computer from the future. Or being able to see the future... Its pretty cool

Can you do a video comparing all the caster classes?
Stay tuned

Some pauses or title cards for each anchor would be appreciated as I struggled to notice when you had moved on to the next anchor.
Noted, i could have presented that a little better
Otherwise it was great. Was only recently put onto your channel through the starfinder facebook group and have been really enjoying the content.

I know right?
I'll add this into my Pathfinder game for a bad guy. Seems useful for hunting down players that time travel.
Every campaign can benefit from time police

Have a Precog with the Doom Future anchor and name him Bruno.
"We don't talk about Bruno~!!"
Nice tie in to Disney :p
So, less like Minority Report and more like Loki. Welp, guess the BBEG is a time magic using savescummer. Delightful.
You could even mix in some Dr Stange
for the algorithm
its been blessing me recently

I swear that thumbnail is Nox from Wakfu.
I think the art is of him actually. Seems fitting for a character though :D
@@TheMapleTable Indeed, when I think chronomancer or time magic, I think Nox :)
Time bullshit and the ability to use big guns, Cable?
I kove the idea of this class
