@usmanalinotlate in the video the guy should have put his hand in from underneath the frame to put the safety pin in. Not between the frame and pan. Because the hydraulic lift mechanism can fail at any point.

You actually should release some pressure to rest the car on the metal pins after you get it where you want it. That way its less change to snap them in half since its already sitting on them.
May I suggest you remove and replace the pins from the underside. The way you did it you risk getting your hands chopped off. Just saying. You loose your hands and you wont ever need the ramps again
Ordered a set of these off amazon, one of the jacks was leaking, the instructions were severely lacking, and they wanted to slide out from under the vehicle. To solve that I mounted a 2"X2"X4' long piece of angle on my concrete driveway that the back of the ramps will rest against. Amazon is sending me a replacement jack, but I have decided to not use the factory jacks, and instead use pneumatic jacks instead. I'll use a splitter on my air line, that way I will be able to raise/lower both jacks at once.
@@stevenakn1 the ramps themselves work Fine, my problem was with the jacks. I replaced the original bottle jacks with low profile pneumatic jacks, and they work wonderfully.

Lol, glad I'm not the only one, I went on ebay and Typed "Tall Car ramps" because some guy down in town has some that are 4+ foot tall, and then I seen these.
So when you almost overshot the ramps, the ramps front part came off the ground. This is all IMO of course.
That's what can happen with the plastic rhino ramps also, if you go up a little too far the back raises and the whole ramp collapses. For plastic ramps, the Harbor Freight ones are probably better as they are more solid plastic whereas the Rhino Ramps are made to store inside each other, so hollower and will bend easier.
@@guestguide2544 I bought a pair of those Rhino Ramps, I really don't trust them, What could go wrong, made out of genuine plastic right? At your own risk, but, ..... If your drive wheels are going up the ramp (Front wheels for FWD, rear wheels for RWD) power brake your way up the ramp. (Rely on the brake, NOT the gas...) (apply brake, give it enough gas to get up the ramp while holding the brake, then lighly let of brake to climb the ramp, using the brake to stop instantly when needed.... WAY safer than using the gas alone to climb the ramp and hoping you hit the brake in time...) Somebody just about had a very bad day....
new subscriber sir. whats the over all measurement sir?
I was hoping for it to be different than it is
Peter are these low enough for a 2020 camaro on the front or would I still need to drive up on a 2x4 to start?thanks bud!
Do you think Peter knows high low or high your camaro is ..??
@@ACommenterOnUA-cam dont know if he knows or not that's why I was asking
And ..normally ppl who drive or own sporty cars that sit lower have a general idea without actually measuring and I know nobody who has a set.not too hard to figure how to make it work was just asking a question
@@terragrappler1 thats a very specific question to a very specific car ... why would you think that he would know if it would fit under a car that he does not own ..?? Let alone know the height specs of a 2020 camaro ..??
its like me asking you what size tire goes on my 98 nissan 240sx ..??
@@terragrappler1 not ALL sporty cars sit at the same height from factory.
Me ... i would have done a search on the 2020 camaro and found out its ground height clearance, and not asked this guy because he does not own a 2020 camaro, let alone looks like the type that would know.
Look at how he drove up on those ramps at that speed and didnt even know what those jack lock pins were called ...
any update review ?
I haven’t used it a lot but my neighbor borrowed it to work on his Xterra and it seemed to worked fine for him too

Do the feel solid?
Very clever designed !
Save space for car repair!
Bro how much are Ramps??
Overshooting ramps is always the biggest PITA of the process.
Wow! Never knew they had these
got a red set for xmas and 1 jack was leaking fluid and the holes didnt line up DONT BUY! because they are a pain in the ass to send back to seller.
Do you think you can use 4 on a car? For front and back?
yes. but put jack stands underneath.
The guy should have put his hand in from underneath the frame to put the safety pin in. NOT between the frame and pan. Because the hydraulic lift mechanism can fail at any point.
Nope. I wouldn't use these for a chevy cobalt, and I'm a FORD guy
Lol at the cig butt. Looks like a marlboro light sir.
This guy is a nice person trying to help other, but he is a liability. First, he over shoot pulling onto the ramp- if you don't know how to du it, just lift the car with a jack and place the ramp under. Second, he put the safety pin at the wrong location, the pin is supposed to go in the pinhole, not on top - however that is bad design as you have to set it right on. Third, you need to rest the car on the pins before working on it - that way your stand holds the car and the jack is your secondary safety.
Thanks for the video anyways.
Awesome! Thanks!!!
