"I work on the motto that if something's not impossible, there must be a way to do it." One Life tells the true story of Sir Nicholas Winton, a young London broker who, in the months leading up to World War II, rescued over 600 children from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia. This was the first film I watched in 2024 and I found both the story and the soundtrack incredible. It was also the first time I listened to Volker Bertelmann's work. Underrated. I hope you enjoy it 🎹
Hello Dear Friend. Just wanna ask : For your sheet music.. Do you transcribe it manually. or you simply convert the generated midi to notes using a software? Could you share what is your process to get the sheet music. Thank you and good continuation
Hey Luis, apologies for any confusion earlier! I'm really impressed with your arrangement and was just curious about how you created the sheet music for it. Did you transcribe it (into sheet music) by ear directly into any specific software, or was there another method you used? I'm trying to improve my own transcribing skills and would love to learn from your process. Thanks for any insights you can share!
@@monivibes1 I have not created the sheet music for it. But if I was going to do it, I would use the program MuseScore. It detects the keys you play on the piano and writes them as notes. Of course you still have to adjust the tempo, etc. 👍🏼
I am still trying to attain the name of that beautiful peice/score, that is used in the One Life movie trailer. It is not in the movie soundtrack list nor can I find this song anywhere to date, despite months of searching. If someone happens to know the name of this work, I please would greatly appreciate the assistance with identifying it. Thank you.
@luisgraca wow, didn't expect a reply, and let alone so quick! To be honest, all soundtracks from those movies are great so I really don't mind, but I must say Test Drive and Romantic Flight are especially nostalgic to me :)
I have seen you progress video, so I know that you are a self-taught. But in order for you to actually improve, I really recommend working with a teacher, because I can't really judge the technique, but most likely you have a gap in music theory, which is why you lack of musicality. Overall it is good and something to be proud of, but just in case if you want to get into the next level or perhaps you take this as something more serious in your life, then you would really benefit from the classes.

It is on Spotify - open.spotify.com/album/4nIveENbEPUFT3ew9x6J9p?si=jbxyrH0XTKOP8N-RR-EmWQ 😃
Stunning!! Both the film and the soundtrack are so underrated... it's incomprehensible
Right? It was incredible to listen to the soundtrack in the cinema. Glad you enjoyed it 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Hey, thank you!
I haven't written the sheet music for this arrangement. I'll try to publish it in the next few weeks :)
Great man! Do you even play „Ora“ from Ludovico Einaudi?
Thank you! I have never played Ora, but I've played too much Einaudi haha

Same! That's one of the reasons why I wanted to play the soundtrack and watch the movie. Let us know if you find out 🙏🏼

After uploading this video I had a few private lessons for guidance. Maybe I will have some more at some point 👍🏼
