Woodstock Forever Festival 2024 - Guru Guru

Die Gruppe um Frontmann Manfred 'Mani' Neumeier gilt bis heute als einer der bedeutensten Vertreter des Krautrock der 70er. Der Bandname Guru Guru ist ein Synonym für Neumeier, der die "Geschicke der Band lenkte und mehrere Jahrzehnte deutsche Rockgeschichte mitschrieb" (ROCKLEXIKON DEUTSCHLAND).

I discovered Guru Guru in the 70s when I bought the first 2 Lucifer's Friend albums on the Billingsgate label.
On some of the Billingsgate inner sleeves Guru Guru were listed as being distrubted by that label...however it is to my understanding that they weren't.
During that time I became curious about Guru Guru and drove to Philadelphia to search for their albums. Dance Of The Flames and Mani Und Som Friende were the first 2 Guru Guru albums that I bought.

Danke @JohnFiocchi . Dei uns in der damaligen DDR hatten wir leider keine Möglichkeit solche Guru Guru-Alben zu bekommen .
