Just an average bush drive really. There’s only one sorta step down on the way and a few mud holes, but they had firm bottoms last time I was on it. It’s probably too tight to tow a camper trailer on though, the track twists and turns between trees.
beautifully driven !!! essentialy both are 4 wheel drives with rear difflocks so on paper both are equally capable but if u had to point out few areas where the ranger is better what would it be ???
The ranger having a longer wheelbase is more stable on decents and climbs. But it obviously lacks ramp over as a trade off. I do find the Fortuner wheel base is a lot of fun to drive as it picks wheels up easy.The ranger is easier to modify (large tyres etc) the ranger has more suspension travel. And touring wise the range holds more gear easier.
So the lower pipeline track is the harder of the two and the one you see with the big steps? Otherwise the same entrance and veer to the left for the upper track?

once i watched the footage back i seen the left, totally missed it on the day. i was to busy picking a line on the step
