This is honestly so sweet with Tobey's tone and messages being mixed with this AU's just much more horrific setting.
I like how Ralsei voices start all creepy and ominous and then it's just the voice of reason but echoey

I did actually ask Lynx about Lancer and weirdly Lancer is the exact same as Deltarune's version.
the answer is that it's just funny :D
(don't worry, other characters like King, Queen, Rouxls, Jevil ECT are all creepy it's just lancer.)
In all honesty I do really actually like the idea of Lancer being the same it seems to me like it would be even more amazing to see him befriend Susie and stuff

Call it a hunch, but knowing how Kris can act, I think is promise to Susie might just be real.
In this AU, Kris is adopted by this world’s Dreemurr family, which is part of a cult. Said cult is dedicated to sacrificing people to stop this vague invading army. So safe to say Kris ain’t breaking this deal anytime soon

i mean papertrail but yeah i get you not many but the game isn't even technically fully out yet so i get why the wait

EldritchRune rings a bell, since last 2 years, I used to name my delta rune character, Dren Rune. Also eldritch rune ralsei is more of a Dark Lord ralsei, like a lord who one day will be king, wa ssuppose to he superior than a prince.

I MADE A STORY BASED OFF OF THIS!
So in this story, there are three worlds. One is full of light, one is full of dark and the third is basically the closest thing to earth. In the world of light, there is a King of light. He is the source of all light and life. His citizens are both his people and his children. In the kingdom of light his children and people get to study and train because they have a mission. To spread light all around.
Then there’s the realm of darkness. It is full of dangerous creatures, like demons and monsters. They can get to humans by receiving their souls and giving the magic abilities in a pact. For ex. If the human vassal dies, the creature they made a pact with can bring them back, plus they can be more dangerous than the normal human. The children of light are human too, but their souls are protected by the blood of the King of light, so as a result the dark creatures can’t do anything with them, not even touch them. Children of light can also be powerful compared to an average human. Their magic is light and it’s not their own light. It reflects the King of light the way the moon reflects the sun.
The magic of light reverses bad things(ex, healing, restoring), lights up darkness, redeems(if the redeemee is willing) and other things beneficial to those around them. Dark magic is dark magic, it is everything in the name and does not help those that need them. But with both forms of magic, if their warlocks are far from their benefactors, their magic weakens.
Our protagonist is a girl named Rosie. Being a citizen of light, she is also a daughter of the King of light, making her a princess of light like all of her sisters. She studied light of magic, worked in the garden with all her siblings, and trained in the paths of light to one day face the darkness.
One day Rosie and her siblings are heading off to the garden to do their chores. Then one of her brothers sounded a horn alerting everyone in the room. A dark creature with his vassal, a knight of shadows, came in(Yes, sisters, he seemed cute, but he’s a knight of shadows, so forget he’s cute). They came because they were looking for a vessel of light. A vessel of light could be anything light related. It could be a person, because they carry light; or a sacramental tool. What was it they were looking for? They don’t know. All the shadow creature and his vassal know is that they need one.
Rosie’s brothers picked up their swords and were responded with, “Like hades, you are!” Then attacked. But this knight of shadows had some upper hand. One, he had experience from fighting monsters; two, he was a vassal of darkness, so you should expect him to fight dirty; three, he had his dark prince nearby helping him, while with Rosie’s brother, their father and king was someplace else. Eventually the knight of shadows(his name is Kris, btw) knocked down all her brothers. Rosie and her sisters raised their hands ready to cast magic to get rid of this attacker and away from their brothers, but the dark knight put his sword to one of their brothers. If they struck, he can put their brother to the sword first. So Rosie’s sister, Jade, shouted “WAIT!” Rosie, Jade and all their siblings began to discuss what they had to do next to protect their people and land.
Rosie turned to the dark knight. “Hey, What was it you needed?”
“A vessel of light.” he answered.
“I will bring your request to the King of light.” She replied.
“Be quick. My patience is running out.”
Rosie went off to find her father, “‘My patience is running out’ he said” She thought to herself. “He says he is growing impatient while he threatens my brother, a son of the king. That heathen….”
Her rage suddenly calmed when she walked into the room the King was working in and he called out to her saying, “Rosie, are you losing your temper over someone? Breathe.”
Rosie obeyed and explained what was going on to the King. The King of light already knew what was going on, but it was considered courteous to let her speak about the problem.
The King of light then picks up a dove and says, “I am sending you to go tell that wayward lad to wait longer, let my son go. He’ll get what he needs soon.”
The King of light then takes Rosie to a pew and where there should have been a podium, there was a spring of glowing, crystal clear water. The king then took out an empty jar and filled with the water.
“This is living water. It is effective against dark creatures. You will need it for the mission I am going to send you on.”
He then explains to Rosie that that knight is a human that is enveloped in darkness. And he is sending her to take him back from darkness. Since her light magic will fade when she gets far from the Kingdom of light, she will carry a vile holding living water as a stand in for her source of magic since the living water also is from the King of light. Everything good is from the King of light.
So the king of light and Rosie head to where Kris(remember that’s his name) and his dark patron were at and the King of light said to them,
“Here is the vessel you needed. Now do not threaten my young ones again please.”
The dark knight laughed. “This girl? The thing we need?”
“That girl is a daughter of mine and has some of my light in her. So be aware of what help is given to you.”
The dark prince pulled at the dark knight’s arm. “Hurry, we have to go.”
And off went prince of darkness, vassal and princess of light. Will the light lady save a soul or will he be lost to the shadows? I will not be rapping up this plot.
Sometime in the middle of the story,
Rosie: Falls down a small ledge.
Kris who has gotten attached to her: “Princess! Are you ok?”
Rosie: “I’m alright. And please just call me Rosie!”

So... A Deltarune AU with elements of Lovecraftian horror (one of my favorites), *and* it's by the creator of Paper Trail, one of the comics that got me into the fandom proper. Yeah, this is probably gonna be in my top 10 UT/DR AUs. But why do they keep turning Susie into SCP-682?
And I bet you thought we wouldn't realize what Ralsei was humming at 1:59, didn't you?
