    Hey everyone I just want to say again thanks so much for watching! This video actually pushed my channel to 200 Subs which is amazing!!!

      Good insights and editing! I recommend Stephen King's The Night Flier if you want to review an underrated horror gem. It's from a time before social media in the era of tabloids with things like Bat-boy and Lizard Woman Marries Texas Rancher kind of thing. I will be checking out more of your work.

    I think the 572 days definitely had impact to the viewer of how helpless and trapped these kids are. To really just make you feel like there is truly no escape.

      @@ScoopReviews500 Those poor Kids must be starving and extremely thirsty if They have been trapped in the House for 572 Days and Their pants and underwear must be very stinky

    This is a new theory I never heard before with the demon being a deceased child. It’s a really good one too.

      Thanks! I just watched Wendigoons breakdown of the movie and it actually does add more evidence to this theory. I forget the specifics, but when I was hearing him, describe the plot some thing about when Kevin falls down the stairs definitely seems like the demon was involved, so maybe the demon kid fully targeted Kevin

      @@ScoopReviews500 Yeah I thought he was playing hide and seek with the entity while he was sleepwalking, but then I was too afraid to think about it while watching the movie 😂

  • @qimnotfalldenkassenbonwegw4167

    "Intensely Blueballed" Lol legiit, but I think it might even play out FOR the movie since a lot of people sat with that movie for nights on end and their opinion changed a lot the more they thought about it. So mayybe all those blue balls tortured us even longer than the movie went. Which could be considered an Archivement for a horror movie.

    • @ScoopReviews500
      @ScoopReviews500  Рік тому

      that's a good reading of too. For me personally, the annoyance of no big ending payoff sort began to overpower the lasting buildup of fear but I think you nailed what the director was attempting!

    my theory is that Kevin went into a coma after falling down the stairs. Thats why there is no way out its because he is trapped in his comatose plus all sound is muffled like its the unclear outside voice that's talking.

    • @PoeticProse7
      @PoeticProse7 Рік тому +2

      That would actually make sense especially given that people in comas have been shown to remember faintly some of the noises and words they heard!

  • @MadailinBurnhope

    he's still in the house for that long because he's a ghost? or in a coma? watch "Heck"

      I didn't say it in the video but I also don't like knowing it's been over 500 days because it technically gives a sense of time which pulls you out of the confusion (even if the movie is still pretty confusing despite this).

    This movie should be 1 minute long. The kids should take the buckets they stand on to use the bathroom and just turn on the lights. Movies over.

    • @ScoopReviews500
      @ScoopReviews500  Рік тому +3

      Lmao I didn't think about that but would turning the lights on really solve anything? For all we know the voice can just hang out in the light

      @@ScoopReviews500 are you scared when your Alexa talks to you with the lights on? We're being watched every single day and tracked through technology. If that doesn't scare you this shouldn't either.

      @@taylorconnor2315 it sounds like ur both under and overthinking this movie a bit too much. You're not supposed to compare the voice to "big brother" watching your every move but you also aren't recognizing how scary the idea is of these two innocent children trapped in a scenario they have 0 chance of escaping because that voice can literally do anything. Tbh I'm getting freaked out just thinking of it

      @@ScoopReviews500 please don't come at me with the experimental maybe I didn't get it approach. I watched the movie twice. Once in theaters alone and once at 3 AM on shudder. I gave it many chances and it didn't work either time. I just think it sucked. This was an " A for effort" movie to me but it failed the test lol.

    • @ScoopReviews500
      @ScoopReviews500  Рік тому +1

      @@taylorconnor2315 Like I said multiple times in the video, if you just don't like it and find it boring that's totally fair. I'm someone who usually finds something unseen/unexplained a lot scarier than a standard monster or jumpscare fest but both work for different people and both are valid.
      Also- if you are looking for other horror films I recommend Barbarian which I did a review of back in October. That's a movie where you get a good mix of standard and conceptual scares and is overall really interesting and well done.

    I love movies with dreamy-surreal qualities and while this scared me, I don't think I can ever do the whole thing in one sitting again. I feel that this is kind of like a cinematic Rorschach test where your experiences and memories fill in the rest of it and interpret things that reflect on your processes. I came the conclusion that both children are ghosts re-living a nightmarish end to their lives that they couldn't really understand. I think Kevin didn't fall while sleep walking, but that was the story given by the father who is a victim of the mother's domestic and drug abuse. I think he had planned to leave with the kids and she killed him in their room before killing the two children and possibly herself. I think we're seeing one of those repeating loops that some ghost stories show victims reliving, but the events we see are reconstructed from the minds of terrified children. I also think the face at the end is someone trying to help them move on and be at peace. It's the most terrifying scene because it is their last moments connected to earth or the mortal realm at all.
